GYPSY Jokers from across Australia have gathered in Adelaide for a funeral which would be illegal under new anti-bikie laws introduced by the State Government.

The laws – the first of their kind in Australia apart from the federal anti-terror legislation – have been attacked by lawyers and civil liberatarians as draconian and an erosion of individual rights, particularly freedom of association.
The laws contain provisions that members of outlaw motorcycle clubs can only associate with direct family members such as their parents, brothers and sisters, grandparents and children.
Anyone who breaches the laws – whether they are bikies or individuals having contact with bikies can be jailed for up to five years.

The bikies were farewelling club president Wayne “Chiller” McGrath, 42, a father of four and part-owner of four tattoo parlours, who suffered a fatal heart attack last week while exercising on a treadmill at his Virginia home.

His sudden death prompted public tributes from Gypsy …

UN condemns denials of Nazi Holocaust

Reuters | January 27, 2007

UNITED NATIONS: The UN General Assembly adopted a US-drafted resolution today condemning denials of the Holocaust, weeks after Iran sponsored a meeting dominated by speakers questioning the Nazis’ extermination of 6 million Jews in World War 2.

The resolution, co-sponsored by more than 100 countries, including all Western nations, was approved by consensus, without a vote. Iran disassociated itself from the action, calling the resolution a political exercise that Israel would exploit against Palestinians.

The resolution “condemns without any reservation any denial of the Holocaust” and “urges all member states unreservedly to reject any denial …

The White Closet Racist

By Brother B.D.
Junius, 35 AC (June, 2008 CE)

The cowardly type who in the company of his friends, who with a wink and a nod passes around a Negro joke during a quiet game of Wednesday night poker. The weakling, who can only muster the courage to draw the racial line at his daughter’s bedroom door.

The very same mother or father who merely shakes his head when little Johnny or little Janie pops in the latest Negro (c)rap CD. Who looks the other way when that young White boy or young White girl hangs out with the ‘good’ …

ATTORNEY-GENERAL Michael Atkinson has called a senior magistrate “daft” and “delusional” for calling for jail overcrowding to be factored into sentencing.

The ferocity of the criticism from Mr Atkinson, of deputy chief magistrate Andrew Cannon yesterday stunned the Adelaide legal community.

ABC | May 23, 2008

A barrister says bikie gangs are uniting to challenge the South Australian Government’s anti-gangs legislation.

New laws to take effect from July will let authorities restrict association and declare gangs illegal.

Barrister Craig Caldicott says groups are putting aside differences and plan to fund a High Court challenge.

“A number of the groups are talking,” he said.

“You must bear in mind that not just bikies but it’s any group that the Attorney-General and the Commissioner of Police target.

“Probably (Premier) Mr Rann and (Attorney-General) Mr Atkinson have done better to unite the groups …
