“Today we are announcing that the seasonal flu vaccine will be available free of charge to more than two million extra Australians, particularly pregnant women and indigenous Australians,” Federal Health Minister Nicola Roxon told Channel 9.
Previously, just under 3 million people aged 65 and over were entitled to free flu vaccine. Now that all Aboriginals and pregnant women are to receive free flu vaccine shots, this will bring the number up to about 4.5 million receiving the vaccine.
