UNITED NATIONS: The UN General Assembly adopted a US-drafted resolution today condemning denials of the Holocaust, weeks after Iran sponsored a meeting dominated by speakers questioning the Nazis’ extermination of 6 million Jews in World War 2.

The resolution, co-sponsored by more than 100 countries, including all Western nations, was approved by consensus, without a vote. Iran disassociated itself from the action, calling the resolution a political exercise that Israel would exploit against Palestinians.

Toilet predator sexually assaults boy at Noarlunga Centre

POLICE are hunting a man who sexually assaulted a teenager in a southern suburbs public toilet.

South Coast police said the 15-year-old had gone to use the men’s toilet at the Noarlunga Centre Interchange when he was assaulted about 3.30pm on Monday.

The boy was not physically hurt.

The offender is described as having a dark complexion, is aged about 30, is about 178cm in height and is of medium build.

He is bald and wore an “under the lip goatee”.

He wore black sunglasses, a grey T-shirt and blue denim jeans.

A PARA Hills man who went to investigate noises outside his house at 4am today was threatened by two men who stole his car.

A short time later, his blue Holden Commodore sedan was driven through the doors of a tavern on Golden Grove Rd at Surrey Downs.

Police said cleaners at the tavern heard a crash and alarms being set off at 4.15am.

They told police two men of Aboriginal appearance then ransacked some of the poker machines, stealing the cash drawers.

A SENIOR Education Department official accused of having a 22-month lesbian affair with a female student will be tried by judge alone.

Leonie Beverly Pech today told the District Court she wanted her case to be heard by judge alone, in the absence of a jury.

The 42-year-old, of Prospect, pleaded not guilty to two counts of indecent assault and eight counts of unlawful sexual intercourse.

Court documents allege Pech committed 10 offences against a female student, who cannot be identified.

THE first stage of the State Government’s three-pronged legislative attack on outlaw bikie gangs and their associates comes into force today.

Gang members involved in brawls or those threatening witnesses will be charged with new offences under the Public Order Offences Act, which carries penalties of up to 10 years’ jail or fines of up to $10,000.

The new charges available to police are Riot, Affray and Violent Disorder.
