FOREIGN Minister Stephen Smith says Australia is doing all it can to prevent more attacks on Indian students.

They include two stabbings in Melbourne last week that have left one man fighting for his life in hospital.

Indian authorities believe there’s a racial element at work.

Mr Smith told Network Ten the government is working with the Indian community in Australia and India as well as state authorities to bring the perpetrators to justice and to ensure a safe environment for all international students.

HIGH-PROFILE Labor MP Maxine McKew wants to train toddlers and pre-school children to become political activists.

She has drafted her controversial Early Years Learning Framework which, if adopted, would cover all kindergartens, childcare centres and other early childhood settings. The guidelines would also provide the basis for the education and care of all Australian pre-schoolers and are due to be implemented in July.

Ms McKew, the woman who ousted former Prime Minister John Howard at the 2007 election, is the Parliamentary Secretary for Early …

Aussie Babies Exposed to TB by Imported Doctor

Tuberculosis is an almost unheard of disease in Australia, but thanks to Adelaide’s Women’s and Children’s Hospital’s overuse of imported non-White doctors, TB has returned to bite it in the arse.

Due to the incompetence of immigration authorities, an imported doctor has exposed about 300 babies in the Neo-natal Intensive Care Unit and the Special Care Baby Unit to tuberculosis.

When contacted, the Women’s and Children’s hospital refused to comment on the country of origin or the racial makeup of the TB riddled quack, but assured concerned parents that the imported doctor is now on sick-leave.

Australian internet filter to be compulsory

Jennifer Dudley-Nicholson: The Courier Mail | October 29, 2008

THE Federal Government plans to make internet censorship compulsory, putting Australia in the same league as China, Iran and North Korea.

The Government will not let users opt out of the proposed national internet filter, which could ban controversial websites on such subject as euthanasia or anorexia, when it is introduced.

Broadband, Communications and Digital Economy Minister Stephen Conroy admitted the Federal Government’s $44.2 million internet censorship plan would now include two tiers – one level of mandatory filtering for all Australians and an optional level that will provide a “…

KRudd Nearly Halves Australian Dollar in Record Time

It might have a lot to do with global financial events, but the value of the Australian dollar has dropped from US98c several months ago to US64c http://finance.yahoo.com/currency/convert?from=AUD&to=USD&amt=1&t=2y, and it’s all in line with my own predictions if Labor was to win the last election. And it did.

Now, I didn’t and don’t like Prime Ministers Howard or KRudd (Kevin Rudd) – Liberal or Labor. Nor did I vote for either of them. I believe that neither is good for this country, but Labor’s policies make them the worst of the pair.

Policies:

Taliban pens never held dogs, says Fitzgibbon

The Advertiser | September 04, 2008

AUSTRALIAN troops did not use dog pens to hold four Taliban prisoners overnight, Defence Minister Joel Fitzgibbon says, contrary to an earlier report.

Defence has now told the Minister the enclosure used to detain the four prisoners had never been used for dogs, contrary to a report of a defence inquiry into the alleged April incident.

The report, released last week, sparked an angry reaction from Australia’s Islamic leadership who said no human being should be locked up in dog pens.

The latest advice from defence has upset Mr Fitzgibbon who said it …

MANDATORY detention for asylum-seekers has been eased under changes to immigration policy announced by the Federal Government today.

“A person who poses no danger to the community will be able to remain in the community while their visa status is resolved,” Immigration Minster Chris Evans said.

Mandatory detention would apply only to those arriving by boat for health, identity and security checks, or those considered a risk to national security or health.

Legal assistance would be offered to those arriving by boat and they could have an independent review of unfavourable decisions.

Jews Demand the Holohoax be Taught in Australian Schools

Schools failing to teach on Holocaust

Justine Ferrari, Education writer: The Australian | July 10, 2008

AN obsession with Australian history in curriculums has left students able to leave school without knowing that the Holocaust occurred.

In a speech to high school principals, NSW education department head Michael Coutts-Trotter regretted the omission of the Holocaust from the state’s mandatory history course.

“I discovered for the first time about a month ago that you can get through compulsory schooling in NSW and never know that the Holocaust, the destruction of Jews in Europe, actually happened,” he said. “You will know …

The Adelaide Advertiser (South Australia) | 26 June 2008
http://www.news.com.au/adelaidenow/story/0,22606,23923536-5006301,00.html

VICTORIA’S Police Commissioner Christine Nixon is warning SA’s tough new laws will “merely drive the visible appearance of organised motorcycle gangs (OMCGs) underground, where the criminal activity will continue to function”.

The tough anti-bikie laws make it an offence for outlaw motorcycle club members or people with criminal records to meet more than six times a year.

“Rather than displacing OMCG organised crime activity from SA, it is likely the new laws will increase police-OMCG conflict,” she said.

“Victoria Police does not support proposals intended to deal with OMCG members in a similar manner to that of terrorist groups by prohibiting groups and individual …
