The Black Watch are traditionally a Campbell regiment. They wear a dark variation of the Campbell tartan.

Many of my uncles on my father's side of the family served with the Black Watch. The rest served with the Argyles and Sutherland Highlanders. On my mother's side of the family, they served with the Royal Scots Fusiliers.
