ALICE Springs residents, who say they fear for their safety, have called on the town mayor to respond to a recent spike in youth crime. 
 
Donna Luvitalot Lemon last week posted to Mayor Damien Ryan's Facebook page, asking what he could do to address the issue.

The post read: "I am sure you are well aware of the high level of anti-social behaviour occurring in Alice Springs.

"Yesterday, a vehicle had its windows smashed in a public car park. Last night, a motorist was threatened for his life and a lady was nearly pulled from her car while she was in transit.

"Today, a lady was abused in a public place. She, too, feared for her life. Just some examples of what people are experiencing."

However, Mayor Ryan told the Centralian Advocate he was "not going to get involved through Facebook" and had privately replied to the user.

Andrea Hill also voiced her concerns via social media, attributing the failure of local businesses to criminal activity.

"My company delivers to Woolworths Alice Springs in the early hours each morning.

"Last Friday morning our driver was forced to lock himself in his prime mover (as) he was so concerned for his own safety. This was due to a huge mob of young Indigenous people ... trolling the streets of the CBD looking for trouble.

"No wonder Alice is slowly shutting down — one business and one family at a time."

The situation comes just months after Alice Springs Town Council met with Attorney-General John Elferink over a previous spike in youth crime around the time of the last school holidays.

The outcome of the meeting remains confidential; however the government has continued to reiterate its hard line approach to youth justice.

"The Northern Territory Government has invested in initiatives and programs which are designed to reduce youth offending and turn around the behaviour of at-risk young people," Mr Elferink said.

"Boot camps for youths who are at risk of leading an offending life are now in operation and are delivering real results for the participating individuals. Additionally, Youth Justice ... is offering problem youths and their families the support they need to change their troubling behaviour."

See the Mayor doesn't want to upset all those Bush Gorillas in Alice Springs . I Bet I know what the plan is? Throw the garbage over the neighbour's fence! Send them south for the Adelaide people to deal with!

The boongs don't know how to do anything other than mess with people and property! They need to be culled somehow I don't know how we allow them to breed!

THREE people were taken into protective custody after a brawl erupted at a busy northern suburbs bus interchange. 
 
A group of young men known to each other were involved in the fight, which broke out at the Casuarina Bus Interchange about 6.45pm yesterday.

Acting Commander Daniel Shean said security officers based at the interchange saw the fight break out and broke it up.



Police arrived a short time later.

"As a result ... a number of infringement notices were issued for offences (including) disorderly behaviour and fight in public place," he said.

Along with the three people taken into protective custody, between 15 and 20 people were moved on.

A 34-year-old man has been charged and will appear in court.

You can bet it is coons being Casurina bus interchange.. a very common event to take place there.

THE Northern Territory's head politician has passed the buck on to parents to halt youth crime in Alice Springs. 
 
When asked whether the Government would look to reinstate varying youth services, Chief Minister Adam Giles said it was up to parents to keep an eye on their children.

"You know, looking after your kids is a responsibility of parents," he said.

"Governments do get involved through actions of social services, and law enforcement comes in where required.

"But I do say to parents, have a good look over your kids and make sure they're not getting up to mischief."

The comments come just days after another spate in criminal activity on council-owned property, including the John McDouall Stuart statue, the library, town pool and local tennis courts.

Tennis Alice Springs coach Matt Roberts was called to the court about 1.50am on Tuesday after three individuals broke into the facility.

"They smashed in through a very small window, which was covered with Crimsafe," he said. "There was quite a bit of effort, they got a paver and just kept smashing it until it broke.



"We had a lot of stock and equipment strewn all over the complex from as far as the intersection on Gap Rd and Stott Terrace all the way to Traeger Ave.

"There was a lot of broken glass, stock and equipment stolen – mostly alcohol, lollies, drinks and that sort of stuff."

Councillor Chansey Paech has been leading an ongoing discussion about the need for increased programs in town.

He said the Government needed to stop "turning a blind eye" and restore funding for youth initiatives.

We all know it is the Abbos here. As far as the Abbo Chief minister's comments go about parents needing to be responsible for their kids. How the hell does he allow these beastly people to breed?! All they know how to do is :- eat, sleep, hinder,beg, rob, rape, destroy and hurt!

As far as funding for youth initiatives go.. it would be better if they open up a fertiliser plant in Alice to combat the issues and make a buck at the same time.

A JEALOUS woman Stupid coon bitch who allegedly murdered her boyfriend in broad daylight – just metres from punters in a packed Darwin city pub – was a "functioning alcoholic" who was too drunk to intentionally kill the man, a court has been told. 
 
Lawyers for Jasmine Raymond, 20, said she should have faced a manslaughter charge, because she was too drunk to intentionally kill the man when she stabbed him four times on Mitchell St, outside Shenannigans.

She has denied murder.

Crown prosecutor Matthew Nathan told the NT Supreme Court jury Raymond blew .286 when she was arrested.

"She was a heavy drinker but a functioning alcoholic's tolerance is (high) and impairment is significantly reduced," he said.

"It's not a who-dunnit.

"It's about whether she intended to kill him – we say she did. She stabbed him not once ... but four times."

Raymond had a punch-up with a relative she accused of having an affair with her partner, outside Tap Bar, about 6.30pm on August 1, 2013.

They reconciled.

But minutes later the pair crossed the road to meet the victim.

Raymond pulled the 12cm knife from her singlet and stabbed the man "to the hilt" three times in his torso and sliced one of his biceps.

The fatal wound was a stab in the back that punctured his left lung.

Graphic security camera footage shows Raymond brandishing the knife before she put it back in her top.

Defence lawyer Jon Tippett QC said it was "odd" that his client would wield a knife and stab someone in front of "hundreds of onlookers, on a crowded street".

"Is that the act of a cognisant killer?" he said.

"This case isn't about what you see on the film – it's about what was in the mind of the accused."

Well nobody likes seeing coons behave badly in public or this kind of violence but at least on the positive one coon is dead and the other will go to Gaol. These apes are just unpredictable, grog or no grog. Dirty animals!

ACTS of malicious damage to property resurfaced in last week when three cars were firebombed in a motel car park.

Two of the victims, Shaaron Moore and Brian Birrell, had their brand new Nissan Patrol worth more than $80,000 and property worth hundreds of dollars reduced to ashes.

The couple had travelled from remote Western Australia and decided to spend a night in Alice before proceeding to Arhem Land to take up a teaching contract.

"The cars were firebombed," Ms Moore said.

"The fire was spotted by a security guard from Kmart and he rang authorities.

"The police quickly came in and evacuated everyone from the motel while firies battled to put out the flames."

Boongs! who else in Alice would do that? The English or German backpackers?

A MAN allegedly pushed his girlfriend in front of a moving car, continued to attack her after she was run over and tried to kick a witness. 
 
Alice Springs police have called for witnesses to the brutal assault on Undoolya Rd, near Sturt Tce, about 11.30pm on Wednesday.

A man, 22, allegedly pushed his partner, 26, onto the road during an argument.

Detective Senior Constable Robert Kent said: "The vehicle slowed to avoid the woman but she was struck and fell to the ground. The driver of the vehicle­ stopped to check on the victim."

The man allegedly tried to kick the woman and a witness who tried to help her.

Sen-Constable Kent said the driver left the area a short time later.

"We would like to speak to them and anyone else that may have witnessed this assault­," Sen-Constable Kent said.

St John Ambulance spokesman Craig Garraway said the victim "complained of sore legs". She was taken to hospital for observation.
