All Holocaust compensation and restitution payments are protected by 1994 federal legislation that excludes them from calculations relating to eligibility for federal benefits. The legislation (h.r. 1873 or public law 103-286) stated that payments made to individuals because of their status as victims of Nazi persecution are to be excluded from income and resources in determining both eligibility for and the amount of benefits or services to be provided under any Federal or federally assisted program which provides benefits or services based on need such as, but not limited to, Medicaid, Supplemental Security Income, food stamps and Federally subsidized Housing programs.

On February 21, 2009 Mahler was sentenced to six years imprisonment without possibility of reduction or bail, by a Munich court of justice; during the verdict the judge said that Mahler had proven "not able to be re-educated" and declared that he as a judge should stop the "nationalist rattle" and "nonsense spread" by Horst Mahler.[19] On March 11 a Potsdam Court sentenced 73 year old Horst Mahler to additional five years imprisonment for Holocaust denial and banalization of Nazi war crimes, due to the perceived danger of an escape attempt, the sentence was to be immediately carried out.[20] It is expected that Mahler will appeal the verdicts.

On March 19, 2009 Mahler's wife, the former university teacher and lawyer Sylvia Stolz, was also convicted and imprisoned for Holocaust denial, and for her claims that a "Jewish foreign power" ruled the German federal authorities and the Western world, and for claiming that the federal German courts practised "Allied victors' justice" by limiting free speech.[21] [Wikipedia]

Henri Roques is the first man in the nearly eight-century history of French universities to have his doctorate "revoked" by government order. In 1979, toward the end of his career as an agricultural engineer, Roques, then an amateur in history, was spurred by an intemperate criticism of the work of French Revisionist Robert Faurisson to undertake a critical study of the Gerstein statements and their use in the historiography of the alleged Jewish Holocaust. Roques' careful thesis, which was awarded high marks and for which he was awarded a doctoral degree by the University of Nantes in 1986, was then cancelled by decree of French education minister Alain Devaquet.
