http://www.adelaidenow.com.au/news/south-australia/adelaide-nazi-memorabilia-sale-sparks-fury-from-jewish-community/story-fni6uo1m-1226944851221

THE sale of a horde of Nazi memorabilia in Adelaide has enraged the Jewish community, which argues money is being made from Holocaust survivors' misery.

More than 30 German World War II  items were auctioned today, including a gas canister, ten large Nazi flags, Swastika -emblazoned SS  officer swords, Nazi volunteers' badge and a Waffen SS armband.

The items were offered as part of a 560-lot sale of several estates at a Kilkenny auction house, under instruction from a private collector whose Australian serviceman grandfather had gathered the memorabilia during World War II.

Some auction houses, such as online site eBay, ban the sale of items that "promote or glorify hatred (and) violence ..." such as Nazi and Nazi-related memorabilia.

eBay does not allow: "uniforms, uniform components, weapons, or other items that bear the Nazi swastika or SS runes, whether visible or covered".

Auctioneers Mason Gray Strange  are defending the sale, stressing it was neither endorsing the Nazi regime nor intended to cause offence.

But Jewish Community Council of South Australia president Norman Schueler said the auctioneers should have known better than to inflame horrific memories of the Holocaust  — the Nazi genocide of six million Jews during World War II.

"I would not like to think that people are trying to profit by trading on other people's misery," Mr Schueler said.

``These articles are a manifestation of what is an abhorrent part of history and will cause to those people who are affected many sleepless nights ..."

Mr Schueler said outrage at the sale of Nazi memorabilia should not be muted because almost 70 years had passed since the end of World War II.

"We must continue in schools and universities to make people aware of the worst crime perpetuated on man ever and not allow its memory to be dulled by time," he said.

Auctioneer Robert Hunkin said he had weighed the sale's ethics with the strong and legal demand for military memorabilia in Adelaide.

He said this was evidenced by the SS officers' swords selling to for between $500 and $700 apiece and the Nazi flags selling for between $200 and $500 apiece to militaria collectors.

"I don't intend to upset anyone. I just know that there's a significant following of people who do collect memorabilia," Mr Hunkin said.

It was unlikely his firm would sell items like this again, he said, given the strong reaction it had provoked from the Jewish community.

"I know of the stigma that's attached to this sort of militaria and I'm fully aware of history and the history of the Germans and the Nazis," Mr Hunkin said.

However, he said the sale went ahead without any prior objections, although Mr Hunkin conceded he had expected some debate.

Mr Hunkin said Australian militaria was most popular with Adelaide collectors and German memorabilia did not frequently come on the market.

:'(Boo f'n Hoo! :'( Poor widdle joos! People who collect Militaria are all just people who are profiteering and glorifying 6 million Jews being gassed apparently. The relics aren't viewed as historical memorabilia.. If you buy one of the Flags to them.. well that means you played a role somehow in 6 million Jews being gassed! How damn ridiculous!

... If anything those Jews are going to need to go buy the gas masks in the collection.. for a time coming very soon! But with noses like they have.. You could say they have "built in gas masks".

A 30-year-old man sleeping in a dumpster had a rough wake up call.

The man was collected by a waste disposal truck 7am yesterday.

He endured two more loads of rubbish being dumped on him before he was discovered in the back of the truck.

Duty Superintendent Louise Jorgensen said the driver heard noises from the rear of the truck as he was pulling into the depot in Pinelands.

Emergency services attended and facilitated the rescue of the man, who was then conveyed to Royal Darwin Hospital with shoulder injuries.

"He was very lucky not to have suffered serious injury as apparently a number of other collections were made after his dumpster was emptied," Duty Superintendent Jorgensen said.

"Information to hand is that the male had been sleeping in the dumpster — a practice which is never recommended."

St John Ambulance director of operations Michael McKay said the man suffered minor injuries.

"He had a minor head laceration and was treated for potential spinal injuries due to his fall," he said.

http://www.ntnews.com.au/news/northern-territory/claims-some-taxi-drivers-simply-not-playing-fare/story-fnk0b1zt-1226918005028

Territory taxi drivers are illegally fitting switches to their vehicles to manipulate their meters to run higher fares, it has been alleged.

It has also been claimed that several taxi drivers are obtaining taxi plates through an underground subleasing system potentially worth hundreds of thousands of dollars.

The NT Government said yesterday it was aware of the claims and said a review of the Commercial Passenger Vehicle industry would specifically address the availability of taxi licences.

Transport Minister Peter Styles said in a statement that his department had contacted the Taxi Council regarding the issue of fare manipulation and would "continue to monitor taxi vehicles and their operation for compliance".

A Territory taxi operator told the NT News that the practice had been going on for some time.

The NT Government has placed a cap on the number of taxis operating in the Darwin and Alice Springs areas, and licenses are allocated by a ballot system. A taxi licence may only be allocated to a commercial passenger vehicle operator accredited under the Commercial Passenger (Road) Transport Act.

At the moment there are 112 standard taxis operating in Darwin, and 28 in Alice Springs.

The man said the subleasing practice was widespread in the industry and he was aware of 40 taxi plates that were owned by individuals and subleased by others.

He alleged some drivers who were successfully winning plates in the Government ballot would then sublease the plates for between $10,000 and $15,000 – on top of the $20,000 paid for the plate – to other individuals. He said some operators were doing this with more than one plate at a time.

The underground operation means there could be unlicensed taxi drivers on Territory roads. He also alleged some taxis could have their meters manipulated to run up to $1 more per kilometre. He said the cabbies were fitting non-approved switches to meters to achieve this.

Mr Styles said the Department had conducted inspections of taxis targeting hidden switches, but had found no evidence they were in use. However the NT News understands that eight taxis had been found to be carrying the switches.

You can bet this is the work of those pesky "Indian Myna brids"! who else drives cabs nowadays?

http://www.adelaidenow.com.au/entertainment/television/does-the-nword-mean-the-end-for-top-gear-star-jeremy-clarkson/story-fni0cc2b-1226912258466

Not only has he upset his employers and millions of Brits because of a racial slur captured on video (Daily Mirror: "Clarkson's N-Word Shame"), it now appears his second wife is planning to take him to the cleaners in a $30 million divorce settlement, and even the more respected British publications like The Independent are asking, "Is This The End?" for the 53 year-old former door-to-door Paddington Bear salesman.

It began with the now notorious "N-word" video, leaked footage of an unused segment from an old Top Gear in which Clarkson can be heard uttering the old, politically incorrect nursery-rhyme "Eeny-meeny miny-moe, catch a N.... by the toe" to choose between two models of cars.

Taken in isolation, and following hastily issued apologies by Clarkson (after initially denying using the word) and the BBC — who announced he was on a final warning — it might have blown over, but this is a man with a track-record as long and black as the M1.

Throughout his career Clarkson's many racist rants have included stating that Korean car designers ate dogs, calling BMW employees "Nazis" (and performing a Nazi salute) and saying a Malaysian car was built by people who "live in jungles and wear leaves for shoes".

He has upset the gay community with regular homophobic statements and was criticised by a mental health charity for a column he wrote about dealing with incidents of train-track suicide. ("Change the driver, pick up the big bits of what's left of the victim, get the train moving as quickly as possible and let foxy woxy and the birds nibble away at the smaller, gooey parts that are far away or hard to find.")

Doesn't men he's racist , doesn't mean he should leave the show and be 30m GBP out of pocket.. could have just said he was talking about Catching Rev Campbell's dog "Nigger" by the toe.

Quote of the week:
"Don't fight a battle if you don't gain anything by winning."

Field Marshall Rommel, The Desert Fox.

The Battle Of Brisbane

Dr. Jim Saleam

We reproduce just below part of an article from the party's national website. The earlier second part can be viewed by going there. As we send this to you, we are advised that some party members have injuries for their participation in today's demonstration action. We fought a veritable street battle today. We certainly did not seek it. In the defence of freedom of speech and assembly, it is no evil thing to be involved in a street fight. We recall the organized thuggery designed to shut down Hanson in the 1990's.

I believe that we have politically won today's fight (and I say that for a multitude of reasons), but it is what shall follow which will certainly prove the point. I shall not say anything further on that here, but I promise that next week will be a very busy one.

On the behalf of the whole party I commend all who participated in today's action and I send our best wishes to those who sustained injuries of any type. I understand there was a broken finger, some bruises, a split lip and other minor wounds. These are badges of courage and honour.

We shall report to you all further as matters develop. Suffice to say that the party has already received several strong enquiries today and sympathetic groups have rallied to us in solidarity. That in particular – is to the good.

Antifa Counter-Rally Against Australia First A Total Flop: A Gang Of CFMEU Affiliated Thugs, Incite Some On A Building Site To Violence And Riot

Contrary to our first report at 1.30 pm, which we will leave below as it contains relevant data, the so-called 'Antifa' and extreme-left counter-rally against Australia First in Brisbane today – was a total flop.

At no time did their counter-rally mass more than about 50 persons.

What was decisive in the events of the day was a small group of CFMEU leaders with some shop-steward associates all of whom lurked about from the start. Whomsoever the leaders were, they were not small-fry in the union's affairs.

Almost at once, as the initial group of Australia First supporters began to assemble at South Brisbane's Musgrave Park, there were threats of violence and scuffles and the theft of a flag by this CFMEU gang.

However, at a certain point about twenty minutes later, some of these CFMEU officials and stewards entered two building sites situated very close by and told the workers – 'something'. We are yet to establish what this 'something' was. However, we have some reason to believe that they were told that we were supporters of Campbell Newman's laws on associations and that we were opposed to trade unions. Hardly.

Once organized around the lies of the CFMEU organizers, a stream of persons left their work on the sites and joined in a series of assaults; some others who also left the sites just stood by and watched. Australia First members were compelled to punch on with about thirty persons. Although some of our members sustained some minor injuries, they gave as good as they took, which was positive!

It is our opinion, today's attack was premeditated. Most likely it was planned yesterday, after Antifa contacted the CFMEU. A certain leader of the Antifa contingent today boasted a couple of days ago, that she "would involve the union". It was planned yesterday, because these CFMEU officials knew of the building sites nearby the Australia First assembly point and were able to strategically plan their response.

This certainly appears ironic!

Now, if readers go to the website of the CFMEU (Queensland), they will see an advertisement right at the top 'against the use of contract labour' in Australia. Which is something that Australia First has railed against for many years - as is the case with all Nationalist political groups from the 1860's. Yet, it appears that a pathetic liberal clique has infiltrated the very core of the CFMEU and they've abandoned that policy, because it serves the Labor Party and its immigration policy.

It is significant that at this time of the assaults many of the police in the area seemed to 'disappear'. Certainly, no one was arrested.

It is understood that one Australia First member is a unionist and has contacted his union about the assaults not long after they occurred. This union disavowed the alleged actions of the CFMEU gang and said it "would investigate behaviour on the sites and determine if anyone knew of the matter or had breached work rules".

In due course, the Australia First members withdrew from the area to relocate the demonstration to the city as had been planned. This was done by a circuitous route and will report on that another time.

However, this deranged clique of CFMEU dross did not let the matter rest there. Because some hours later, after the Australia First members had been into the city (by another route to protest), they were stalked by a group of men at a hotel in Wolloongabba. The dozen or so activists who had moved on there after the rest dispersed, were enjoying a quiet drink and discussing the day. Suddenly, half a dozen men stormed into the hotel and launched into a violent assault upon the activists. Before they could effectively fight back several blows were landed and the hotel disrupted. The men then fled on foot. It is understood there is CCTV footage of the attack.

A couple of activists experienced minor cuts. However, their spirit was undeterred!

The responsibility for these two phases of violence today does not rest with any worker who was tricked into action by the CFMEU leader-group. It rests with this small core of union officials and organizers. That must be so, as no ordinary worker or union man would deal with the anarchist psychos or accept their call to violent action.

This group of leaders must also be eminently identifiable. Whether they are ever identified in the 'normal' way is uncertain. However, Australia First will certainly not allow the matter to rest.

It's clear that a small gang of union leaders committed an overarching crime today. But worse than any crime, it was a blunder. Where the affair will lead, many can guess, but it will not be Australia First Party which comes off with any 'loss'.

The Antifa cowardice was in some ways expected. Safely away from us waving flags and shouting slogans, they did not do any of the hard work of the day. It was left to a small deranged gang. We respect them for their 'honesty'.

http://www.adelaidenow.com.au/news/south-australia/sa-could-end-up-with-different-income-tax-rate-lowest-minimum-wage-on-mainland-if-commission-of-audit-recommendations-are-adopted/story-fni6uo1m-1226902183237

SOUTH Australia could have different income tax rates to the rest of the country and the lowest minimum wage on the mainland, if key recommendations from the Commission of Audit are adopted.

Under changes to minimum pay rates, low-income earners in SA would eventually earn up to $85 less per week than workers in other states doing the same jobs.

The commissioners suggested that state-based income taxes be reintroduced for the first time since uniform taxation was established by the federal government during World War II.

The commissioners said the federal government should reduce personal income tax rates, possibly by about 10 per cent and cut some payments to the states and territories.

Other recommendations call for a change to the way the minimum wage is calculated.

Within a decade, low-paid workers would be entitled to the lower of a new "benchmark'' or 44 per cent of average weekly earnings in their state.

By 2023, South Australia would have a $637 per week minimum wage while low-paid Tasmanians would earn $622.

Victoria would have a $681 per week minimum wage, Queensland $702 and the other states and territories $722.

The commissioners argued that linking minimum wages to local economic conditions would make it more affordable for employers to take on extra staff.

Under changes to welfare rules, young, single South Australians aged between 22 and 30 years could be forced to states with lower unemployment rates to look for work.

Under changes to the way GST revenue is distributed, SA would receive the same amount it gets now. But some other states would get a larger slice of an enlarged GST revenue pie.

http://www.themercury.com.au/news/tasmania/calls-for-boost-to-migrant-numbers/story-fnj4f7k1-1226896970293?from=public_rss

TASMANIA must harness its tourism kudos overseas to boost its permanent population, multiculturalism advocates say.

Before the election, Premier Will Hodgman pledged to boost skilled migrant numbers and encourage more overseas students to stay.

The Multicultural Council of Tasmania, the University of Tasmania and the Federation of Ethnic Communities Councils of Australia are urging the State Government to "get moving".

"What's needed now is some meat on the bones of that commitment," Multicultural Council of Tasmania chief executive Anna Reynolds said.

She called on the Government to sponsor more skilled migrants — to ease their visa processes, as was commonly done in South Australia and Western Australia.

The SA Government also funds billboards and other advertising encouraging overseas students to live and work in the state after graduation.

Mr Hodgman said his Government was dedicated to boosting the state's migrant population.

"That's one of the reasons why I participated in the recent national trade delegation to Asia. I was able to hand-deliver that message to our strongest trading partners."

Immigration Department figures show more than 30 per cent of SA's skilled migrants are state-sponsored, compared with 10 per cent in Tasmania.

Ms Reynolds said Tasmania was well behind in cultural diversity.

"Just 12 per cent of our residents were born overseas, compared to the national average of over 24 per cent,'' she said.

Migrants brought skills, fresh perspectives, money and connections, as well as new demand for local services and products, she said.

So there you have it ! Encourage the cashed up Gooks and curries (WITH RICH DADDY'S THAT PAY FOR THEM TO STUDY AT OUR UNIVERSITY) to take up residence in the States of SA and Tas.. then force those that are unemployed and under 30 to migrate interstate! WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON HERE? tHE INDIAN MYNA BIRD PEST AT HIS FINEST! PUSH THE EGGS OUT OF THE AUSSIES NEST AND THEN SMASH THEM AND STEAL THE NEST FOR THEMSELVES!

http://www.skynews.com.au/topstories/article.aspx?id=969219&cid=BP_RSS_TOPSTORIES_1_UkrainePMblastsantiJewishleaflets_200414

Ukraine's prime minister has voiced outrage at reports masked men in east Ukraine's main city handed out leaflets demanding Jews register or be expelled.

Members of the Jewish community in the pro-Russian protest hub of Donetsk in eastern Ukraine said on Friday they were left shaken by the distribution of tracts demanding the registration of Jews.

Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk said he wanted to 'make a clear statement and urge the Ukrainian military and security forces and Ukrainian Department of Homeland Security urgently to find these bastards and to bring them to justice', he said in excerpts of an interview with NBC's Meet the Press, to air on Sunday.

The incident happened as around 20 Jews were leaving the synagogue after marking the second day of the Jewish holiday of Passover. The three hooded men handing out the pamphlets were carrying a Russian flag and the symbol of the separatist Republic of Donetsk.

Reports of the anti-Semitic tracts sparked international concern with US Secretary of State John Kerry branding the distribution of the pamphlets as 'grotesque' and US President Barack Obama expressing 'disgust'.

Yatsenyuk also said Russian 'President (Vladimir) Putin has a dream to restore the Soviet Union. And every day he goes further and further and doesn't know where is the final destination.

'I consider that the biggest disaster of this century would be the restoring of the Soviet Union under the auspices of President Putin,' he stressed.

Washington, Kiev and many EU states see Russian President Vladimir Putin as pulling the strings in Ukraine's insurgency, sending in special forces that he repeatedly denies are there.

The Kremlin has snapped back by stressing it has part of its army on Ukraine's doorstep - a declaration that appeared to be a warning shot that the situation could rapidly deteriorate if Washington were to impose further sanctions.

Washington has warned Moscow that Ukraine is in a 'pivotal period' as pro-Russian rebels there refuse to comply with a Geneva accord reached on Thursday by Russia, the US, Ukraine and the EU to disarm and leave occupied public buildings.

Poland's defence minister has said US ground forces will be sent to his country to expand NATO's presence there as events unfold in neighbouring Ukraine, The Washington Post reported.

The slavs are the only one who really want to preserve our white heritage it seems , apart from the Growing number of disgruntled Greeks. Golden Dawn wants to go the way of Russia and be done with the EU and this and the trouble in Ukraine right now is really "rocking the boat" for ZOG.

Well UK doesn't seem to care about wanting to be white, France? Sweden? Holland?

A BRISBANE dad has made legal history – convicted of hiring a prostitute for his 13-year-old son on a family holiday to Thailand.

The man, who cannot be named to protect his son's identity, is believed to be the first person charged under recently introduced child sex tourism laws aimed at stopping Australian pedophiles from preying on foreign children.

In a case described by the judge as "bizarre", the father pleaded guilty to procuring a child to engage in sex outside Australia.

The court heard the man, his wife and their son travelled to the resort of Koh Samui for a friend's wedding in September 2012.

The dad is white(although he doesn't deserve to be treated as a white man) and he encouraged his boy to go "horse around" with these bug eyed vermin.

They are black Indigenous Australians. They get into politics and stab each other in the back as they roll around in millions of dollars of cash, bitching at Racist Whitey to throw more money their way while their poor brethren die of disease, violence and drug addiction.

And they'll tell you that it's all Whitey's fault ...

http://www.ntnews.com.au/news/northern-territory/alison-anderson-larisa-lee-and-francis-xavier-have-quit-the-country-liberal-party/story-fnk0b1zt-1226873268746
:'(

THREE rebel Northern Territory indigenous backbenchers have formally quit the CLP after days of speculation.

The government will now have to win the Blain by-election on April 12 or negotiate with Independent MLA Gerry Wood to retain a majority.

Chief Minister Adam Giles said: "It's good to finally get it over and done with and get it out of the way.

"Alison Anderson clearly has form when it comes to walking out on parties — she seems to have more angles than a protractor," he said.

"I'm sure someone will take her, but mark my words this will all happen again.

"The biggest concern about what's been damaged is the race relations in the NT.
:'( :'( :'( :'( :'(

"The majority of Territorians have had a gutful, they've had enough of Alison Anderson. I've had enough of it, my team has had enough of it and the games that are being played.

But what it's doing is it's driving a wedge between black and white Territorians. We've never had that divide and I think that's highly disappointing."

The Australian newspaper reported Alison Anderson, Larisa Lee and Francis Xavier Kurrupuwu had been expected to step down yesterday, but did not arrive back from a meeting with the Northern Land Council in Jabiru in time.

The trio finally lodged their papers today.

"I think it's a sad day in the Territory's political history that Aboriginal people have put a government in power, and now three bush members are resigning in disgust," Ms Anderson said.

"We won't be creating a race-based party, it will be region-based. I think the Territory is multicultural now."

Ms Lee said: "After everything that's been said and done, the best thing we can do is move forward. We will be fighting for the bush in parliament."

NITV reporter Danny Teece-Johnson tweeted a "spill" for the leadership of the CLP was "imminent" because Deputy Chief Minister Dave Tollner was "crunching numbers".

High-level CLP sources, however, including Mr Tollner's office, have rubbished the claims, saying the rumours have been driven by Ms Anderson and are completely unfounded.

Teece-Johnson has since deleted the tweet from his account.

CLP WILL BE BETTER OFF WITHOUT TRIO: HIGGINS

Ms Anderson scolded Mr Giles as a "little boy" on Wednesday — blatantly repeating a taunt that grabbed headlines last year.

The comment — seen by many as a cultural rebuke to Australia's first indigenous head of government — comes after weeks of instability and protests by the bush MLAs.

Mr Giles (muddy coon man) told reporters that Ms Anderson was "yesterday's news".

"It's no skin off my nose. They can go and play games in a little sideshow on the side, I'm getting out there with my big boy pants on and doing the job that everyone expects us to do and that's govern for the Northern Territory."

Ms Anderson spoke to the ABC Wednesday morning and denied an exclusive NT News report that the rebel trio wanted ministers Peter Chandler and Peter Styles sacked.

http://www.ntnews.com.au/news/centralian-advocate/protest-against-racial-profiling-in-alice-springs/story-fnk4wgm8-1226867313878

HUNDREDS of protesters turned out for a demonstration against racial profiling in Alice Springs on Thursday morning.

One of the event organisers Stacia Chester (Furber) said the demonstration was not just about police being stationed outside of bottleshops.

"It's the whole Interevention/Stronger Futures situation going on here in Alice Springs," she said.

"We're feeling the punches from the Northern Territory and Federal Government so we're coming together to stand up to say this is not right and we're not going to take it anymore."

Ms Chester said the Aboriginal people in Alice Springs were disheartened by the developments with elders and men being stripped of their dignity.

???"Even if we go to the shops for bread or milk, we're questioned about what we're buying," she said. ???
(Why ??? because we know what you coons either spend money on or steal to get booze)

"I had a friend who went to the shop last night to buy yoghurt and the police pulled her up. Stronger Futures is making us the weakest link and the gap isn't closing — it's turning into a sinkhole."

Ms Chester recently returned home to Alice Springs after living in Port Augusta and was shocked at what had become of the town.

"I haven't seen anything like it. I thought I was bringing my babies home and then I get here to discover it's gotten really bad."
??? ::)

Speaking about the rally in parliament on Wednesday, Mr Giles said there was no doubt their measures had been successful despite some people who thought it unfairly targeted Aboriginal people.

"Every time I have been with someone else, it does not matter if they are caucasian or otherwise, those people have been checked," Mr Giles said.

Police have been providing high visibility checks outside of Alice Springs bottleshops for the past year. But since February, temporary police beats have been set up for every hour of trade seven days a week as part of Operation Leyland.

Chief Minister Giles said the operation was providing immediate results in driving down alcohol-fuelled crime.

"The results so far have been impressive. During the operation's first two weeks, police reported a 24 per cent reduction in incidents compared to the same period last year," he said.

"They also reported a 54 per cent reduction in assaults."

Mr Giles also said wholesale alcohol supply in Alice Springs was down 7 per cent to the lowest figure on record.

http://www.adelaidenow.com.au/news/south-australia/fair-work-ombudsman-reveals-mariana-market-caught-underpaying-7-staff-including-5-foreign-students-more-than-23000/story-fni6uo1m-1226861816904

INTERNATIONAL students studying in Adelaide are being ripped off by unscrupulous employers, who are forcing some to work for nothing and paying others as little as $6 an hour.

Adelaide's largest Asian grocery store has been caught exploiting five international students and according to University of Adelaide and UniSA student representatives, the practice is widespread — particularly involving students being paid cash in hand for working in small restaurants.

The Fair Work Ombudsman has revealed the Mariana Market, in Grote St, has been caught out underpaying seven staff, including five international students, more than $23,000.

The store, trading under KYB Pty Ltd, and its owner, Mr Khai Khuu, were warned about the non-payment of wages and poor record keeping in November, 2012, following a complaint from an employee. Mr Khuu was required to reimburse an employee $556 for work completed over a five-day period.
Additional complaints were received early last year and a full investigation launched. That inquiry found seven staff were also underpaid between March and June last year.

The individual underpayments ranged from $1813 to $5924 and included reimbursement for up to 12 hours of "unpaid work trials'' each staff member was forced to undertake.

Fair Work Ombudsman Natalie James said it was "not a genuine trial arrangement", noting that the employees performed productive work and duties, including stacking shelves, moving goods throughout the store, cleaning, making juices and serving customers.

The employees were initially told they would be paid $8 an hour for the first 20 shifts and then $16-$18 an hour thereafter, but they would only be paid if they successfully completed a full month of work.

Fair Work inspectors found that on more than one occasion, employees were not paid at all for work performed and did not get their minimum hourly rate, casual loading or penalty rates for weekend shifts.

As an alternative to litigation, KYB has signed an Enforceable Undertaking with the Fair Work Ombudsman, in which it commits to a range of measures to revamp its workplace practices.

In SA last financial year, the Fair Work Ombudsman recouped $4.3 million for 1600 employees who had been underpaid — including $121,185 in underpaid wages and entitlements for 43 visa-holders.

From July 1 to December 31 last year, another $24,550 was recovered for 32 visa-holders in South Australia.

Nationally in 2012/13, $1.4 million was recovered for overseas workers. Two thousand and eighteen complaints were received from visa holders, a 61 per cent increase over the previous period.

Ms James said overseas workers accounted for less than 5 per cent of the cases investigated by her office, but the issue was still significant.

"The Fair Work Ombudsman devotes considerable resources to protecting overseas workers in Australia — including international students and backpackers — because we are conscious they can be vulnerable to being underpaid and treated unfairly,'' she said.

"The Fair Work Ombudsman recently established an Overseas Workers' Team in recognition that overseas workers can be vulnerable to exploitation, or require specialist assistance.

"Overseas workers are often not fully aware of their workplace rights under Australian laws — and youth, language and cultural barriers can also create difficulties for them.

"Complaints from overseas workers come most frequently from South Korean, Chinese, Vietnamese and Japanese workers.

"From time to time, we receive intelligence which suggests overseas workers in some sectors are being paid as little as $8 an hour. We are constantly looking at new and innovative ways to educate overseas workers about their workplace rights, particularly minimum pay rates.

A NORTHERN suburbs mother is pleading with staff at a new super school to protect her son from escalating bullying and threats from other students, which she fears could turn violent.

Jodi Daniels says her 12-year-old son was this week chased by a group of older students at Roma Mitchell Secondary College and threatened with a makeshift knife during a lunch break.

She said she would be forced to pull her son out of the Gepps Cross super school if the staff and the department failed to take immediate action against the students involved and prevent the abuse from continuing.

Ms Daniels, whose son enrolled in Year 8 at the school this year, said the abuse started this week when a group of students of middle-eastern decent began making "crass" comments about his hair and skin colour.

"There was a lot of back and forth banter in the classroom when they were making disgusting comments about him being a ranga," she said.

"He eventually snapped and made a comment back and then those kids went to some of the older kids and told them he was being racist.

"The next day at school an older student walked into his classroom and told him they were going to beat him up at lunch time,

"So at lunch time he had about 30 plus children chasing him down to beat him and his friend up and saying they were going to stab him and hurt his family."

Ms Daniels said one of the students threatened to "kill him" with a makeshift knife he had made at the school out of sheet metal.

Ms Daniels said her son was "terrified" of going back to the school as a result of the incident.

She the school needed to take drastic action to stop the bullying, which she claimed was often racially motivated because of the multicultural demographic at the campus.

She said her older son, who graduated from the school last year, had told her the bullying and violence had become progressively worse over the past few years.

An Education Department spokesman confirmed there had been an incident involving several students at the school which had "racial overtones".

O.K , those Lebs they sent to "enrich us" have really "Done Australia proud this time"! This was a racist attack against a white lad.. but saying Lebs are out and out racists for doing this .. well.. "that just isn't cricket". Instead the Lebs told him he was a racist. "Racist wasn't used against the camel faced scum just "Racial Over tones" a sugar coated term.

A DARWIN security guard has been accused of discriminating against indigenous people by evicting them from a city supermarket in separate incidents on Australia Day.

Long-time Territorian Murray McLaughlin said he was disgusted to see the indigenous man marched out of the Woolworths Darwin City foyer simply for trying to take a sausage from Lenard's that was available for customers to sample.

"It was blatant discrimination," Mr McLaughlin said.

"I've seen (the security officer) shoving Aboriginal people around and out of the building before.

"The banished person did not seem affected by alcohol, was suitably dressed and not out to cause trouble."

Woolworths would not comment yesterday but when the NT News approached the security guard he confirmed he had been working at the store on Australia Day.

He denied he was discriminatory, saying he had no knowledge of the incidents.

"I am not racist; I'm just doing my job. If they were barefoot I would have told them to get out. It can be very stressful working here," he said.

Mr McLaughlin said bite-sized cooked samples of food were often handed out by Lenard's for customers. He said no staff member was attending the counter when a young Aboriginal man went to help himself to a slice, before the security guard intervened.

" 'No, no, no - not for you!' " he said, before he ordered the young man outside," Mr McLaughlin said.

"This fellow just wanted a bit of sausage and he was chucked out.

"This is not just discriminatory but outright mean."

PROTESTS targeting Austria's right-wing Freedom Party (FPOe) in central Vienna have caused more than one million euros ($A1.5 million) in damages, police say.

Eleven police vehicles, as well as all the windows of a police station, were destroyed in the violence overnight on Friday.

Many shop windows in downtown Vienna were also smashed.

Police say 15 people were arrested and 20 injured in the demonstration that saw 6000 people protesting the FPOe's annual so-called Academics Ball, which was protected by 2000 police.

The protesters condemned the FPOe as a neo-fascist organisation, some comparing FPOe leader Heinz-Christian Strache to Anders Breivik, the Norwegian anti-immigration right-wing pro-Israeli extremist who massacred 77 people in and around Oslo on July 22, 2011.

AFL star and 2014 Australian of the Year Adam Goodes wants to help break down the boundaries between races and won't rest until all Australians are treated as equals.

The Sydney Swan was named Australian of the Year on Saturday for his leadership and advocacy in the fight against racism, both on the sporting field and in society more broadly.

The 34-year-old made it clear he'll be using the position as another platform to tackle racial vilification.

'My hope is that we as a nation can break down the silos between races, break down those stereotypes of minority populations,' the sportsman told the crowd at the Canberra ceremony. His mother Lisa, a member of the Stolen Generations, was among those at the event.

'The ultimate reward is when all Australians see each other as equals, and treat each other as equals.'

An indigenous Andyamathanha man, Goodes holds an elite place in AFL history with two Brownlow Medals and two premierships.

Oh! Marvellous! Mr Goodes wants racial equality for Australians. Now let's see him fight for equality by seeing to it that:

* Aboriginals get the same free legal service as every one else.

* Aboriginals being 15% of labour force by major contracts like Inpex is abolished and that everyone with work status can get a position regardless of race.

* Aboriginals don't get housing specifically set aisde for them only.

*permit system of non indigenous entering "indigenous lands" is abolished.

*Abstudy system is abolished and everyone gets "Austudy".

*Aboriginals aren't allowed to claim land anymore because it is "everyone's land".

LET ME DREAM....

http://www.dnaindia.com/scitech/report-new-mobile-game-helps-you-relive-how-indians-face-racism-in-australia-1955717

A new free mobile game, called "Everyday Racism" has been developed for iOS and Android that lets the user experience how it feels to be an Indian student living in Australia, or a Muslim woman, or an Aboriginal man.

The alternate-reality game developed by "All Together Now" is based on microaggressions, which continue to perpetuate harmful attitudes that marginalize minorities, Cnet reports.

"All Together Now" is a collaboration between the University of Western Sydney, Deakin University, and Melbourne University.

"Microaggressions" is the process of accumulation of smaller, subtler interactions that can make one feel as if he is fighting a losing battle.

When the user loads the app for the first time on his mobile, he is asked to choose one of three characters, each of whom was created based on real-life experiences.

The user experiences four scenarios randomly spaced out every day for seven days based on the character he chose, including radio broadcasts, work e-mails, social-network interactions, text messages, and videos.

:'( So what happens in this video game you are a mud walking down the street and people yell epiphets like "mud!", Coon" , "Sand nigger" or "Curry muncher!" ?Then you say back . "I think Australians are all racist people!"

The coon goes around asking people for ciggies and money , the Aussies says "piss off, go get your own" .. the abbo says "eh! white dawg! you owe me stuff!"

The tradesman goes to the Indians house and the Indian tries cunning tricks to haggle to get the bill down. The tradesman says "No the price is the price!, this is the only job I have! I am a business not a charity!, what makes you think you have a constant sense of entitlement when you come here you brown clowns?"

The Indians says "Why don't Aussies like me?"

http://www.ntnews.com.au/news/breaking-news/australians-flock-to-nz-for-gay-marriage/story-fnjbnxon-1226809685794

NEW Zealand's big gay rainbow has clearly stretched to Australia.

Since the law allowing same-sex marriage came into effect in New Zealand in August, 97 of the 361 couples to have tied the knot are Australian, or about 26 per cent.

Of the Australians, 47 were female couples and 50 were male couples.

There have also been 10 Chinese couples, four from Hong Kong, four from Britain and four from Thailand, Department of Internal Affairs statistics released on Friday show.

"We are seeing continued national and international interest by same sex couples in getting married in New Zealand," Births, Deaths and Marriages registrar-general Jeff Montgomery said.

Australian couples have been getting married in New Zealand while gay marriage remains illegal in Australia.

The figures show 195 all-female couples have been married between August 19 and December 19, along with 166 all-male couples.

Of those, 55 female couples and 47 male couples were previously in a civil union.

Same-sex marriage legislation was passed by parliament in April.

GREEK officials say the bodies of a woman and an 11-year-old boy have been found a day after a fishing boat crammed with immigrants capsized in the dark, leaving 12 people feared drowned in the Aegean Sea.

A coastguard statement says the two bodies were found on Tuesday by authorities on the nearby Turkish coast.

The crippled vessel, whose engine failed as it was trying to reach Greece illegally, was being towed by a Greek patrol boat when it overturned.

Wednesday's statement says photos of the bodies were identified by some of the 16 survivors. Their nationalities were not announced.

The United Nations refugee agency has expressed dismay at the accident, urging Greece to investigate the circumstances.

http://www.adelaidenow.com.au/news/breaking-news/qld-acid-murderer-lodges-appeal/story-fni6ul2m-1226807539639

A QUEENSLAND man who murdered his wife and dissolved her body in a bin of acid is appealing his murder conviction.

Klaus Andres, 70, was found guilty last month of murdering his Chinese wife in October 2011.

He was sentenced to life in prison in the Cairns Supreme Court.

A Department of Justice spokeswoman on Wednesday confirmed that Andres's lawyers had lodged an appeal against the murder conviction.

The case will be heard in the Court of Appeal. No date has been set.

At the start of last month's trial, German-born Andres admitted he dissolved Li Ping Cao's body in a wheelie bin of acid, but said her death was an accident.

He claimed he pushed her in self defence and that she died instantly when she fell on to the kitchen floor at their Cairns home.

Andres said he didn't call police because he thought he would be blamed for her death.

He also admitted pouring Ms Cao's remains down a storm drain outside the couple's home. Only her false teeth were found by investigators.

Andres met Ms Cao while on holiday in China in 2006 and the pair married in November that year.

About two months before Ms Cao's death, Andres began a sexual relationship with a 35-year-old Thai woman he met at a Cairns casino while the she was on holiday.

Andres is appealing on the grounds that the trial judge erred in admitting a key piece of evidence - a letter Andres sent to Centrelink.

His legal team will argue it could have encouraged the jury to infer intent or premeditation.

It was revealed during the trial that Andres sent a letter to Centrelink asking the agency to redirect his wife's welfare payments to his bank account.

Sounds like a double WHAMMY,  he killed the Asian.. and the race traitor is in Gaol for doing so.. both out of the game.

http://www.ntnews.com.au/news/national/boxer-anthony-mundine-reveals-aspirations-to-run-for-prime-minister-of-australia/story-fnl2dwun-1226806469231

CONTROVERSIAL boxer Anthony Mundine has revealed his aspirations to run for Australian prime minister.

The 38-year-old has come under fire on countless occasions throughout his career, most infamously for declaring the US brought the September 11 terrorist acts on themselves and that Olympic champion Cathy Freeman could not be an authentic indigenous leader because "a man can only lead".

But in an interview with Foxtel program FitnFlexed, the former NRL star said one day he hoped to run the country.

"I want to work with youth, inspire youth. I want to work with my people. And who knows? I might even run for prime minister, see what happens," Mundine said when asked what he wanted to achieve in life after boxing.

"If I was prime minister, the way I would run it, any issue they want to talk about I would just do a poll. I'd just do a poll to the people and let the people decide. I mean that's the rule: a leader [should] do what the people want."

He added: "The way the media are, the way they want to portray me as a bad boy, as a bully ... or arrogant. But I'm just me. I know how the system's set up. It's set up - especially for Aborignals - to fail. You're accepted if you bow down and toe the line and be what they want you to be. I'm going to be me."

Australian politics will have to wait a little while yet, though.

Despite criticism that his boxing career is in decline and that he only selects no-name opponents, Mundine insisted the next three to four years would be the best of his career.

"I'm aiming for the biggest fights and I'm going to win them," he said.

"I'm going to focus on my career and leave a legacy that's untouched. It's already untouched, but leave it even further. Leave no room for doubt, so I know that when I'm finished they better be Superman if they want to get my stuff."

Asked if there would ever be another "The Man" Mundine, he said: "I doubt that, man. I tell my boys - I joke with my sons - I say, I'm going to leave a legacy so good that I don't even think my sons can get them (sic) and they got the bloodline to get them."

Mundine went on to reinforce his belief that he is among the greatest - if not the greatest - two-sport athlete who has ever lived and declared Greg Inglis the greatest rugby league player of today, saying the only man who could "come up and put a play on him" was his cousin, Blake Ferguson.

"They try to write me off and belittle me," he said. "I want the people out there to do their research and name one sportsman, one, that's done what I've done in two sports. And I'm not talking team to team sport, like Bo Jackson and Deion Sanders from baseball to gridirion.

"I'm talking team sports. I was top of my game, the highest paid player in the game and getting ready to wreak havoc again. And then to go to boxing and be a three-time world champ in the hardest sport there is. Ain't no one done that, man."

In late 2012, Mundine questioned fellow Australian boxer Danny Geale's indigenous heritage, saying: "He's got a white woman, he's got white kids. I keep it real, all day every day."

While in November of last year, he made headlines again for stating homosexuality and Aboriginality do not mix.

"Watching Redfern now & they promoting homosexuality! (Like it's ok in our culture) that ain't in our culture & our ancestors would have there head for it! Like my dad told me GOD made ADAM & EVE not Adam & Steve," Mundine posted on Facebook.

Mundine's fight night January 29 is in some doubt after his original opponent Carson Jones pulled out through illness.

Mundine's manager Khoder Nasser said on Monday he was confident the event would still go ahead, but a replacement opponent his yet to be announced.

I wish this mud clown would shut the hell up and quit making a fool of himself! I still think he believes everyone likes him!

Growth Action Agenda

Steven has started 2014 with a series of announcements aimed at growing South Australia's population. The State Liberals are committed to generating sustainable population growth which will help boost our economy and create more jobs.

After 12 years of Labor, our State has suffered a net interstate migration loss of 34,000.

Steven has announced a Growth Action Agenda with seven key points to stop the exodus of people from South Australia and to stimulate our economy. A Marshall Liberal Government will:

• Reduce waiting times for people wishing to settle in SA;

Probably a :- Flip, Chink and Curry "free for all ahead"?

• Within the first 100 days of government, work with the Federal Government to deliver an increase in migration opportunities for SA;

Yeah , guess who?!

• Seek, attract and support new skilled workers to SA;

What? the Flips that do the jobs the South Aussies won't supposedly do? To be skilled at making McDonnalds and Subway baguettes?

• Work with the mining and energy sector to switch fly-in-fly-out jobs to locally based positions;

Does this mean WA mining places will do a FIFO from Adelaide to the mines and not just from Kalgoorlie or Perth?

• Hold a Population Growth Summit to examine new ideas to stimulate growth;

How about give jobs back to the South Aussies and ditch the idea of allowing 1/2 of Asia and the Middle east to settle! How about returning more industry to Adelaide not sending it away!

• Take new steps to encourage high net-worth investment migrant visas in SA;

What are they going to invest in? We got a mining tax and a carbon tax that screwed all the industry up.. and we sent all the jobs in industrial sector abroad.. all they left SA was a retirement town!

• Work with the business sector to identify skills shortages for employer sponsored visas; and

How about incentives for Aussies to employ Aussies and give them traineeships?!

• Increase the Multicultural Grants Scheme to $1 million per year to allow organisations to provide settlement services for new migrants.

Well , what was wrong with the old "10 pound poms"model? I guess white people don't cut it in SA now, don't breed enough for the machine, ask for a good days pay for a good days work, make a stand when things aren't right, how about getting some cheap imports who don't complain and they'll work more hours for less and drive down the living standards!?

DISCOUNT supermarket chain Aldi has pulled an Australia Day T-shirt and singlet from its stores amid claims on social media that designs featured on the garments were racist.

Aldi was on Wednesday criticised by a number of Twitter users for a range of promotional T-shirts with AUSTRALIA EST 1788 logos.

The T-shirts and singlets were scheduled to go on sale on this week in the lead up to January 26.

Twitter users slammed the design as racist and culturally insensitive to indigenous Australians, who inhabited the continent for thousands of years before Europeans arrived.

Australia Day T-shirt pulled by supermarket had been approved by the federal government.
Big W follows Aldi in removing 'Australia Est. 1788' T-shirts from Australia Day range.

:'( Boo-Hoo to coons! Australia is a European word Whites brought here. It wasn't called Australia prior to their arrival, so the coons couldn't be known as "Australian." Australia was "Australia" after White men arrived here. The coons called it "Gondwana" or some crap.

http://www.ntnews.com.au/news/northern-territory/numbers-dont-add-up-for-aboriginal-corporation/story-fnk0b1zt-1226796014559

AN ABORIGINAL Corporation has been put into special administration because its accounts are a shambles and it is insolvent.

Auditors have shed light on why Lagulalya Aboriginal Corporation, which runs the community store on remote Bickerton Island, was put into special administration in a General Purpose Financial Report posted on the website of the Office of the Registrar of Indigenous Corporations.

The company was due to hold its annual general meeting by November last year but has been exempted until April 21. The exemption is valid until changed.

Lowrys Accountants found the books were in disarray and the corporation was technically insolvent.

A series of troubles noted in the last financial year included:

SUPERANNUATION not being paid.

CASH-IN-HAND figures out by $82,461.

STOCKTAKE figures out by more than $330,000.

The auditors found there was no evidence of the amount of stock that should have been on hand as of June 30, let alone evidence to support the last-minute adjustments.

"We are not in a position to be able to identify whether these adjustments were as a result of obsolete stock, damaged stock or stolen goods," the report said.

The auditors were so appalled by the inventory control they refused to rely on the cash-flow information relating to those accounts.

"The corporation has significant issues relating to internal control and accounting procedures," the report said.

"(It) is not meeting its responsibilities for maintaining adequate accounting records and appropriate control over financial transactions and assets."

The corporation's liabilities exceeded its cash assets as of June 30 and the auditors had "great concern" it would not be able to pay its bills.

It was thrown a $209,500 lifeline by the Anindilyakwa Land Council in November.

Lagulalya is run at the settlement of Milyakburra, where 170 people rely on the store for essential goods.

Well looky here!:- Corrupt and stupid , child like, Abos?! Who ever thought?! Then the do-gooders think this mob of clowns can run Australia. Heh! remember ATSIC? Bet they couldn't even organise a Back yard BBQ!

Action-movie star Steven Seagal is thinking about following in the footsteps of another screen hero, Arnold Schwarzenegger, by running for governor.

On the publicity trail for a new TV show, Seagal said he is considering a run for Arizona's highest elected office.

The Mark for Death actor told KNXV-TV that he is considering a shot at the governorship and has had a talk about the bid with the self-proclaimed "toughest sheriff in America".

The 61-year-old made the comments while talking about his newly released reality series Steven Seagal - Lawman: Maricopa County.

Seagal teamed up with Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio for the show that was shot in Arizona and airs on cable TV's Reelz Channel.

The martial arts expert is a member of Arpaio's posse, made up of 3000 unpaid civilians. He also has been deputised with sheriff's offices in New Mexico, Texas and Louisiana and says he wants to increase border security.

http://www.adelaidenow.com.au/lifestyle/tiger-mum-some-races-are-just-better-than-others/story-fnixw28h-1226795184279

It turns out Amy Chua, the so-called "Tiger Mother" who published a book in 2011 arguing that Chinese women are superior mothers has more to say.

In a new book, The Triple Package, Chua and her husband, co-author Jed Rubenfeld, argue that some "cultural" groups of people are superior to everyone else.

As The New York Post reports, the duo deem the following groups as exceptional. (Incidentally, the Chua (Chinese) and Rubenfeld (Jewish) belong to two of them.)

• Jewish

• Indian

• Chinese

• Iranian

• Lebanese-Americans

• Nigerians

• Cuban exiles

• Mormons

"That certain groups do much better in America than others - as measured by income, occupational status, test scores and so on - is difficult to talk about," the authors write. "In large part, this is because the topic feels so racially charged."

Chua, a law professor at Yale, first became a media sensation in 2011, when The Wall Street Journal published an extract from her book B attle Hymn of the Tiger Mother.

She herself is an American, raised in the Midwest, but she used her heritage and all the worst stereotypes of Chinese women - cold, rigid Dragon Ladies, hostile towards their own children - to criticise the Western way of parenting, which she also said would be the downfall of America.

Chua wrote about calling one of her two daughters "garbage" for being rude, dismissing a homemade birthday card as subpar ("I don't want this - I want another one"), refusing to let her girls watch TV or participate in school plays or have sleepovers, of threatening to give away a beloved dollhouse if her daughter couldn't master a complicated classical composition within days.

Her book really can be reduced to a simple argument: Chinese mothers are better than those of any other race, and these parenting methods are going to result in the West's big fear - the continued rise and ultimate supremacy of China.

Chua's book was a bestseller, so it's little surprise she's back with this even more incendiary thesis.

The author based their argument upon trends of American immigrant groups and identified the following three criteria as making these groups so successful:

1. A superiority complex

Any group that collectively believes they are inherently better than any other, say the authors, has an advantage.

2. Insecurity

At the same time, the authors argue, within these groups people are driven by insecurity, "a critical lever of success".

3. Impulse control

The "ability to resist temptation", is yet another factor the authors identify as leading to success, "especially the temptation to give up in the face of hardship or quit instead of persevering at a difficult task".

I don't see anyone pulling the "R" word out on this story. How can Chinks think they are the best parents when they literally chuck the female child in the dumpster when they find out they didn't get a boy and try get around China's one child only policy.

They are just cold hard people who seem to not allow kids to be kids. Like insects in the hive instead. Typical they would compare their kind with Jews.

http://www.ntnews.com.au/news/northern-territory/ambos-forced-to-call-on-police/story-fnk0b1zt-1226794759029

DARWIN ambos are forced to call for police help in almost 10 per cent of all call-outs, a senior paramedic says.

St John Ambulance NT special projects co-ordinator Peter Monks, a 33-year veteran of the service, told the NT News there were on average 12 cases out of 130 in Greater Darwin each day that paramedics deemed too dangerous to go it alone.

Mr Monks said situations for which police were required nearly always involved alcohol and, to a lesser extent, drugs.

There are "known" addresses or patients for whom paramedics will always consider police back-up.
Mr Monks said on other occasions, dangerous situations were picked up by officers taking the initial call; or assessed as dangerous on scene, when, for example, a patient or family member may be raging against assistance.

He said physical assaults were rare - maybe five or six cases in the average year - but stories of verbal abuse, intimidation and other forms of violence, such as spitting, came back to headquarters almost daily.

"We go see people when they are at a very high level of stress," Mr Monks said.

"For many of these people, this is their most significant emergency in their lives and they can get upset."

While philosophical about their work, St John's top brass are about a year into a zero-tolerance campaign, which has involved posters inside ambulances and regular communication with indigenous community leaders.

Feedback had been positive, but sometimes, Mr Monks said, paramedics simply had to be tough.

"You've got to have a thick skin," he said.

If the Abos want to assault the paramedics they should just leave and call the cops first, let the other abo suffer , dumb animals! Shouldn't be allowed to be supplied drink like the old days but because of the UN we have to have "equality" in drinking rights for the abos.

A DETAINEE at Darwin's Immigration Detention Centre has clocked a cocky with a pool table ball - then started plucking it for dinner while it was still alive.

The Vietnamese national was caught in the act on Saturday at Darwin's Northern Immigration Centre and the bird was taken from him.

Immigration Department spokesman Julian Leembruggen said the man was an illegal foreign fisherman and had been told that behaviour was not appropriate in Australia.

Mr Leembruggen said the detention service provider runs regular education programs to teach detainees about appropriate behaviour in Australian society.

He said the Department reported the matter to NT Parks and Wildlife and also NT Police.

But an inside source who cannot be named said the bird was still alive when centre staff put it in the bin.

"I'm disgusted," he said.

"Something needs to be done."

The man said detainees are given a clear message about not eating wildlife when they arrive, so the man knew what he was doing and didn't care.

FUGITIVE killer driver Puneet Puneet has pleaded for help from the Indian Government on the eve of his likely extradition to Australia, saying he feared he wouldn't live to return home.

Puneet, 24, made an emotional apology for the drunken, high-speed car crash in which he killed student Dean Hofstee in Melbourne in 2008.

"I feel so sorry. It was an accident," he said.

"I didn't see him."

He said his parents had tried to do well in life (by sending him to Australia to study).

"But there was the accident that happened that ruined my life," he said.

Puneet, who fled Australia on a friend's passport after admitting guilt over the fatal accident, spent four years on the run in India before being caught on November 29.

He was remanded to appear in Delhi on Friday, where it's possible his extradition could be ordered immediately.

Puneet was drunk and driving at almost 150km/h when he crashed into Mr Hofstee and his friend, Clancy Coker, on City Rd, Southbank, at 12.50am on October 1, 2008.

The learner driver, then 19, fled the scene. When arrested he recorded a blood alcohol reading of 0.165.

Puneet pleaded guilty in February 2009 to culpable driving and negligently causing serious injury and was bailed on strict conditions, including surrendering his Indian passport.

But on June 12, before he could be sentenced, he managed to flee to India using friend Sukhcharanjit Singh's passport. Until he was caught late last month
