A high-flying real estate agent has been stood down after he called Jewish people 'money hungry' and 'child murdering pigs' in a string of anti-Semitic posts

Ray White Judd auctioneer and senior partner Andrew Dimashki has apologised after making the offensive comments in September last year.

The post, which was online for about 15 hours, was published by the Herald Sun.

'The most Jew thing I've ever seen. Who builds a house at the sacred site. Yep only a money hungry Jew . Child murdering  ,' the post read.

Two months earlier, he commented 'children killers' on a picture of people stepping on an Israeli flag.

Ray White said a competitor had contacted them about the comments late last week, leading to Mr Dimashki apologising and stepping down from his roles.

'This was 14 months ago, and I made very stupid comments at the time,' the agent told Daily Mail on Saturday.

'I was reprimanded heavily back then and it was a dark period explaining myself to my close Jewish friends, who are very dear to me.


'I apologised at the time and I am still very sorry.

'Over the past 24 hours I have been receiving death threats, my office had a bomb threat and we are still trying to cope with the backlash.

'I have decided to step down indefinitely from my position to reflect and educate myself.'

Ray White Judd's managing director Dexter Prack said staff would be keeping a watchful eye on Mr Dimashki's cultural awareness education.

'I received an email from a competitor late last week about comments made online 12 months ago by Andrew Dimashki. I replied to the competitor in haste,' Mr Prack said.

'The comments were disgusting, hurtful and fell far short of the respect every person deserves... Andrew has agreed to stand down indefinitely while he undertakes cultural awareness education and training.

'We will closely monitor his progress through this process to make sure he genuinely understands the harm caused and shows that he's learnt from it.'

Mr Prack said any similar behaviour in the future won't be tolerated, adding that Ray White 'stands firmly against antisemitism and all forms of discrimination.

We sincerely apologise to the Jewish community for the offence these comments have caused,' he said.

Leaders in Australia's Jewish community expressed their horror at the comments after Mr Dimashki's comments resurfaced this week.

Zionist Federation of Australia Alon Cassuto told The Herald that 'anti-Semitic, vile, hate-filled comments' should never be normalised.

'For a senior partner at a major real estate firm to feel comfortable expressing such open hatred is completely at odds with Australian values and basic decency,' he said.

Australian Jewish Association chief executive Robert Gregory also called for Ray White to address the behaviour 'with the same seriousness it would show toward racism against any other minority.
