An Adelaide man has been charged with additional offences as a result of a joint counter-terrorism investigation

The 33-year-old man was arrested in April and charged with three offences over the alleged possession of an explosive device.

Yesterday he was also charged with possession of extremist material and possession of information for terrorist acts.

The fresh charges came after a review of information found on electronic devices seized from the man's home in April.

The man will appear in Elizabeth Magistrates Court on October 7 on the new offences

AFP Assistant Commissioner of Counter Terrorism Scott Lee said the threat of terrorism in Australia was becoming increasingly diverse and complex.

"The AFP and its Joint Counter Terrorism Team partners take all individuals or groups who show support for violence seriously," he said.

"We target criminals and criminal activity, not ideologies or backgrounds.

"We continue to place significant effort and resourcing into combating these threats and keeping our communities safe."

South Australia Police Assistant Commissioner Noel Bamford praised the efforts of the investigators involved.

"The South Australia Joint Counter Terrorism Team continues to monitor and take definitive action against individuals or groups who promote this type of violence in this state," he said.

"The actions taken in this matter clearly demonstrate the ongoing coordinated and cooperative approach by all agencies involved in the joint approach to investigating these types of criminal activities."

Neo-Nazis are targeting anti-lockdown rallies and using covert tactics to indoctrinate frustrated Australians into their hate-filled and violent ideology.

At least two leaders of the far-right National Socialist Network were at Melbourne's anti-lockdown protest on the weekend, trying to recruit new members to their group, The New Daily can reveal.

It comes as Anti Defamation Commission chairman Dvir Abramovich, warned extremist groups are using the COVID crisis to "fan the flames" of hatred, resulting in increased anger towards the Jewish community.

Before the weekend rally, the two neo-Nazi leaders, who TND has chosen not to name, appeared on a far-right anti-semitic YouTube show watched by almost 1000 people.

They discussed tactics neo-Nazis attending the anti-lockdown rally should use to recruit members.

"Breadcrumbs is the way to go guys," one of the men said.

"If you go about, like, just openly, y'know, 'it's the penguins [code for Jews], it's the Jews', you kind of come across as loony to these people."

Using lockdown protests to spread hate

The neo-Nazi leader told followers to use ambiguous messaging, specifically 'Qui?', which means 'who?' in French, which has emerged as the far-right's latest anti-semitic slogan of choice, and is used to engage people in conversation.

Then he instructed members to push people they conversed with at anti-lockdown rallies towards anti-semitic conspiracy theories with a link to more information.

"Get inventive, be creative. Yeah you want to entice people, maybe not necessarily give them the answer outright," he said.

At least one of the neo-Nazi leaders were seen at Melbourne's anti-lockdown rally holding a "'Qui?" sign.

Explosive wave' of anti-semitism

Dr Abramovich said the the Anti Defamation Commission had seen an "explosive wave" of anti-semitism over social media in the past few weeks.

"We have to be prepared for the possibility that this kind of dangerous rhetoric will take on a life of its own and end in tragedy," he said.

Dr Abramovich pointed to the recent massacres in Christchurch, San Diego, Pittsburgh and El Paso as clear warnings of what happens when far-right extremists move from online rhetoric to real-life terror.

"The worst thing we could do is to downplay the threat of deadly violence that such hardcore and angry white supremacists pose because where such individuals gather and communicate, physical assaults and murder are usually not far behind," he said. 

But how you monitor and mitigate the serious danger that neo-Nazis pose is not easy.

In a statement to TND, Victoria Police stressed they were tracking these groups to ensure there was no threat to public safety.

"Responding to these groups and associated events and protests is part of what police do on a daily basis," a police spokesperson said.

"We are equipped and well prepared to deploy resources and to respond and intervene where needed."

Neo-Nazis have become emboldened

Neo-Nazi groups have become emboldened in the public display of their beliefs and symbology, said Christine Agius, an associate professor in politics from Swinburne University.

"You've got these groups gathering together, training. When you look at the figures in these groups they are openly wearing neo-Nazi symbols," Dr Agius said.

"There's less hiding."

Simply banning these groups won't necessarily solve the problem.

If the NSN is listed as a terror group, it may splinter, a popular tactic used by groups to avoid proscription, Dr Agius said.

"I think the bigger problem here is that we're seeing a bit of backlash around multiculturalism, gender equality, immigration in mainstream politics," she said.

"We need to look at that and how we talk about inclusion.

"We don't have a populist party in Australia, but we're not immune to the throes of it."

It Ain't About Swastikas: The Darker Side Of Anti Racism *

The media has reported a decision of the Victorian government to ban 'public displays' of the swastika. One would think they had better things to do. And quite frankly – who cares?

However, I would make two points. First, there are those (eg. certain community groups) who pretend to care but who have another entirely different agenda around silencing the debate over immigration and multiculturalism. Second, after the Sixty Minutes stuff about a group of so called 'neo-nazis' in Victoria, there is an opportunity for security agencies to demand new powers that can be used against anyone.

One report of the swastika ban, also said:

"Alongside the ban, Victoria will introduce sweeping new changes to anti-vilification protections, which will be extended to cover areas such as sexual orientation, gender identity and people with disabilities."

It is understood that thought-policing in Victoria will simply explode and go from being a cottage industry to mass production. Anyone 'offended' by anyone can initiate civil type harassments and the 'police' (read: political police) can also start a prosecution. It is possible religious groups, parents upset with 'sex education', or even feminists upset at the intrusion of 'new women' into their university clubs – will be victims!

So we are seeing in action what is called an omnibus law, that is a law that has multiple heads and tasks.

George Orwell was right after all! Campaigns for 'inclusion' and 'equality' are really about depriving others of their rights. Even worse, they may aim to extinguish real identities and replace them with fakes.

The ban on swastikas affects nobody of any real political intent. That is obvious. Rather, a party criticising aspects of the multiculti disaster could be prosecuted for simply telling the truth. And that is the aim.

We are both of the opinion that the (then proposed) Swastika Ban is not about Swastikas, but about outlawing so-called Hate Symbols. The question then becomes, What Defines a Hate Symbol? In short, a Hate Symbol is defined by the Accuser. Provided that the Bearer is not of a Politically Correct nature, the Bearer is therefore guilty of a Hate Crime. Convicted: End of Trial ... Announce the Sentence.

* In the 90's MSM declared that the Union Jack in the Australian Flag is a Hate Symbol equal to a Swastika.

* Since 2001, MSM has declared that the Southern Cross Symbol, also contained within the Australian Flag, is a the Australian substitute for the Swastika.

* The Southern Cross - as used at the Eureka Rebellion is widely considered by MSM as another substitute for the Swastika.

* As are all Runic Symbols, Celtic Symbols, Maltese/Iron Crosses, the Numbers 14 and 88, and the symbol for OK

If the MSM has previously declared that a Symbol is a Hate Symbol used as a substitute for a Swastika, then you're already guilty. As for any other so-called Hate Symbol, anything can be labelled as such, depending on the status of the Accuser and the Bearer. It only requires a tweak in the current laws to make anything and everything - related to "Whiteness" - a crime.

As for me, I am a CREATOR, and I will keep up the struggle. Aut Vincere Aut Mori!

P.S. I should also state that I am now banned from entering the state of Victoria. I have a Sun Circle/Swastika tattooed on my left inner elbow that hides a scar from a mole I had cut out. A musclebound follower of neo-Nazi leader Thomas Sewell has posted coded Nazi messages to a courtroom in a bizarre virtual hearing.

Sewell, 28, and fellow hate monger Jacob Hersant, 22, appeared in the Melbourne Magistrates' Court on Wednesday on a swag charges, including armed robbery, assault and affray after they allegedly bashed hikers in May

Sewell, of the European Australian Movement, and Hersant, of the National Socialist Network, are accused of attacking hikers with knives after one filmed them during a meeting in the wilds of Country Victoria.

The man, who identified himself online as 'Jimeone Roberts', repeatedly displayed the sign before taking to the public chat.

'Free Tom Sewell,' he wrote, before adding what at first glance appeared to be a simple equation: '7X2 + 44x2'.

It is code often used by Neo-Nazis.

'H' being the eighth letter of the alphabet, equates to 88 - meaning 'HH'.

Or in Nazi terms: 'Heil Hitler'.

The first equation, amounting to 14, is the number of words in a statement written by David Lane - a member of the Ku Klux Klan and co-founder of a white-power revolutionary group.

Respected magistrate Peter Riordan was oblivious to the disgraceful antics going on as he endeavoured to control the virtual hearing.

The court heard it was May 8 when Sewell, Hershant and a bunch of their mates decided to hold a meeting on the summit of the Cathedral Ranges.

Known for some of the best hiking in the state, the men had crossed paths with their alleged victims as they ascended to Sugarloaf Peak.

The six hikers had noticed something odd about the group due to their black t-shirts sporting white Celtic crosses.

In January, mountain climbing Neo-Nazis had caused a stir when they congregated in The Grampians

The court heard the hikers were about to depart the Sugarloaf carpark when one of them made the unwise decision to whip out his camera and film the fascists

Prosecutor Danielle Guesdon said the mob ran directly at them, shouting 'Antifa' as they surrounded their vehicle.

Wearing balaclavas, the angry mob allegedly punched and kicked their way into the car, smashing their way in through the front and passenger side windows.

The blood left from those actions would later indicate a DNA match with Sewell and Hersant, police alleged

The court heard the hikers' car crashed into a rock before demands were made of their mobile phones.

While two in the car handed them over, one victim hid his under the seat.

They were then allowed to go.

When police caught up with Hersant down the road, a search of his car found a camera that contained photos of balaclava-clad men on Sugarloaf Peak.

Sewell, whose fingerprints were also allegedly found on the victims' car, was arrested on May 14

He had five stitches in his hand from what police allege was from punching in the car window.

Sewell was on bail at the time for allegedly punching a Channel 9 security guard six times in the head in March.

He remains behind bars while fighting the allegations.

Following his March arrest over the security guard assault, an unrepentant Sewell, who labelled his alleged victim a 'buffoon', later posted a video of himself dressing down Channel 9 reporter, whom he had been trying to visit when all hell broke loose. 

'It's very obvious that you guys are bullies, it's very obvious you guys go to people's houses, harass them at work, you harass them wherever you go, you ask them a question,' Sewell said.

'But when somebody comes to your house and knocks on your door, you guys send security out and try to strong arm and push us away.'

He ended his rant by giving Costello the Nazi salute, declaring: 'Have that one for the camera, you cowards.
