The frightening moment hooded thugs armed with baseball bats and a kitchen knife stormed a Woolworths has been caught on camera.

The video showed the gang of youths as they terrorised customers and employees at Lyndhurst Woolworths on Thompsons Road, in Melbourne's south east, just before 9pm on Sunday.

Scared workers screamed with their arms in the air as the offenders shouted from across the room and began counting back from five before throwing an object over the counter.

When Niggers attack ...

One man then approached an employee and struck her with a baseball bat.

Local man Rob was on his way to buy cigarettes when saw the gang trying to escape via the carpark with a trolley full of groceries.

He saw the offenders assault a female employee and acted 'without thinking

'I saw them assault a lady that tried to stop theft, I chased them and then defended myself,' he told Daily Mail Australia.

Rob knocked two weaponless offenders to the ground before onlookers helped him against the remaining two

One thug pulled a large kitchen knife before retreating to their car.

'I felt sick to the stomach because my girlfriend was nearby,' he said.


Another witness posted a screenshot on social media of a series of text messages they sent as the chaos unfolded.

'Five-six guys attacked this guy at the front of the store. I think they had bats and a knife,' the message read.

'The store is locked down.'


Woolworths confirmed no staff members were injured.

'There is no place for this aggression and violence anywhere in our community and our thoughts are with those caught up in the incident,' a spokesperson told Daily Mail Australia.

We thank our team for acting quickly to lock down the store in line with our safety procedures.

'We've been supporting Victoria Police with its investigations and will continue to help in any way we can.'

'We've also moved to strengthen the security presence at the store.' 

Victoria Police spokeswoman Belinda Batty said the men escaped with a trolley of goods.

'Police have been told a knife was produced and several customers attempted to intervene,' she said.

More than twenty years ago, there was a murder at a nudist beach and I was there for it. 

1999 I think it was: I wasn't even thirty years old and I still had hair. I lived in a caravan I owned in a caravan park only about 600 metres away from Maslin's Beach. There were three of us: We heard the two gunshots and two of us recognised them as shotgun blasts. The third thought it was probably something to drive away parrots from the crops. We ignored it, kept drinking and eventually went to bed. The next morning we woke up to the coppers at our doors with guns pointed at us - just us three. One of the blokes was staying in my van and so they separated us and attempted to interrogate/accuse us. The third bloke had the same treatment. They searched our vans for weapons, but didn't find what they were looking for. By the time they left we'd worked out some fag had been murdered with two shotgun blasts and was left naked in the carpark.

A few hours later, a helicopter showed up with news crews. We were ordered to make ourselves scarce. So we got a few cartons of beer, planted our arses on the decking I'd installed outside my van and abused any reporter, cameraman or photographer that came near us. We were left alone.

In short, a drug dealing nigger killed a drug dealing fag. Now that nigger will go to prison for perhaps two or three years before being deported back to New Zealand. I'd call that a win/win situation for South Australia.

Paul Maroroa to spend at least six years in jail over shooting of Robert Sabeckis at Maslin Beach

A New Zealand man convicted of manslaughter over a shooting at a nudist beach in Adelaide more than 20 years ago will spend at least six years in jail.

Paul Beveridge Maroroa, 45, was last year acquitted of murdering Robert Sabeckis by a Supreme Court jury.

He was instead found guilty of manslaughter after a 13-day trial.

Justice Sam Doyle today sentenced Maroroa to nine years' jail with a non-parole period of six years, finding Maroroa acted in excessive self-defence when he shot Mr Sabeckis at a Maslin Beach car park in 2000.

Giving evidence in his own defence, Maroroa said he owed drug dealers $150 and when he could not pay it, he agreed to deliver a stolen firearm to a man named "Bob".

He said he met Robert "Bob" Sabeckis at the Maslin Beach car park and handed over the gun, which was loaded with two bullets.

"Then he's tapped the gun on my forehead and said, 'you're a dumb c***', that's when everything went completely wrong," he told the jury.

He told the court that Mr Sabeckis pointed the gun at him and told him to pull down his pants.

"He was going to rape me. Rape and kill me," he said.

Maroroa told the court that he feared for his life so was forced to wrestle for the firearm and that was when he shot Mr Sabeckis twice.

Prosecutor Sandi McDonald SC questioned how his victim ended up with his pants down after being shot, but Maroroa said he did not know.

Justice Doyle did not accept parts of Maroroa's evidence given at trial, saying some of it was "implausible".

"It was false and tailored to minimise your culpability," he said.

He said he did not accept that Maroroa went to the car park to deliver the shotgun to Mr Sabeckis or that the victim would have raped and kidnapped him.

But Justice Doyle said he accepted that at some point, Maroroa "feared for his own safety", shot Mr Sabeckis and then fled, leaving him to die in the car park.

He slashed one year and three months off Maroroa's non-parole period — which is lower than the statutory minimum — because the actions of Mr Sabeckis caused him to fear for his life.

Outside court, Mr Sabeckis's niece, Vilija Sabeckis, said no amount of prison time would "bring Robert back".

"We can take comfort that this ordeal is finally over," she said.

"Today, after more than 20 years, justice has been done for Robert."

Family left wondering 'if it was a hate crime'

Following the guilty verdict for manslaughter, Ms Sabeckis said Maroroa never provided an adequate explanation for what happened on the night her uncle was shot.

"I was often asked if it was because he was gay, and if it was a hate crime, and I never knew how to answer that, even though it was something I often thought about," she wrote in her victim impact statement.

"Maroroa put forward a version of events that protected himself from the full extent of what he had done."

During her opening address to the jury, prosecutor Ms McDonald said the firearm used in the shooting was stolen from a house on New Year's Eve in 1999, before the residence was set alight.

She said that house belonged to a friend of Maroroa.

"He took that gun to the beach where he shot and killed Robert Sabeckis," she said.

A Sydney man who was hailed a hero for raising money for bushfire victims has been jailed over his role in a brutal bashing of a man at Bondi Beach.

Belal Shmait, from Western Sydney, was sentenced to two years and eight months behind bars at Downing Centre District Court on Friday.

The 36-year-old pleaded guilty to causing grievous bodily harm after violently beating roof tiler Michael Nicholas and leaving him disfigured in an incident in February 2017

The court heard Shmait and three other men assaulted Nicholas using poles they found in a bin because the victim had allegedly 'jumped' one of the men a year earlier

Footage of the incident showed the gang wielding what appeared to be nail-studded bats as a shirtless Nicholas scrambled to avoid his attackers on a popular 'grassy knoll' spot. 

The attack left Nicholas with injuries so severe he required plastic surgery to his face and lost sensation in his forehead.

Shmait had told the court he did not take part in the brawl - a claim that was rejected by the judge, The Daily Telegraph reported.

He was jailed for four years but will be eligible for parole in two years and eight months

So that initial consultation can minutes later lead to being told you have a curse explaining all your bad luck in life, and with several more expensive sessions that curse can be lifted

A lot of people would walk away, you'd think, but there are some frightened by what they've been told and worried that if they don't remove this so-called curse things may get even worse in their life.

That's what happened to Nasser Zahr.

Nasser has two severely disabled kids and a wife also suffering health issues

The curse story, he said, came soon after his astrologer learnt Nasser had disabled kids.

He claims he was told if he didn't have further sessions life would get even worse for him and his children would die

So he went along with more meetings, and his wallet and bank account soon emptied to the tune of $7000.

Angus Beaumont was walking home from the fast food store in Redcliffe, Queensland, at around 8pm on Friday when he was attacked.

A gang of three thugs set upon Angus and his four friends and plunged a knife in Angus' chest

Angus was taken to hospital but died a short time later.

Detective Senior Sergeant Michael Hogan said the crime looked like an unprovoked attack.

'It's very difficult to understand what the motivation is. It would appear it's unprovoked,' Senior Sergeant Hogan said.

'Obviously the family is devastated. They've lost their 15-year-old son. I think it would be a reasonable assumption that (the culprits) :-Boongs, Niggers, Sand-Niggers or Coco-Nuts are known in the Redcliffe area.'
