I'm told by drug fiends that a joint would cure all my ails. Kill the constant tinnitus, the pains in my feet (arthritis), lower my blood pressure, cure my migraines and allow me to sleep properly. It may very well help a little, but I'm of the medical school of HARDEN-THE-FÜCK-UP!

As for the rest of the world, as long as you're not a drug fiend, I see no difference between medical marijuana/medicinal cannabis and quack prescribed pills. Do what you think is best - just don't allow yourself to be fooled by drug companies or drug dealers.

Extract: In a statement supporting an Oxford University initiative to study the benefits of medical weed, Stewart said he uses pot on a daily basis to help ease the pain of his arthritis.

"Two years ago, in Los Angeles, I was examined by a doctor and given a note which gave me legal permission to purchase, from a registered outlet, cannabis-based products, which I was advised might help the ortho-arthritis in both my hands," he said in a statement.

"This, it would seem, is a genetically-based condition. My mother had badly distorted and painful hands."

Despite his support, you wont see Stewart rolling a spliffy anytime soon, with the actor preferring ointment, sprays and edibles.

"I believe that the ointment and spray have significantly reduced the stiffness and pain in my hands. I can make fists, which was not the case before I began this treatment," he said.

"I have had no negative side effects from this treatment and the alternative would have been to continue taking NSAID's, Advil, Aleve and Naproxen, which are known to be harsh on the liver and to cause acid reflux."

Stewart said based on his experience, he enthusiastically supports the Oxford University Cannabis Research Plan.
