THE man accused of murdering outback nurse Gayle Woodford has faced court without legal representation after a magistrate refused a legal clerk permission to appear for the accused killer.

Dudley David Davey appeared in Port Augusta Magistrates Court on Monday afternoon for the second time since being charged with the murder of Mrs Woodford near Fregon in the APY Lands in March.

Davey, 35, allegedly lured the nurse from her Fregon home late at night before abducting her in an ambulance then killing and burying her body in a shallow grave in scrubland near Fregon.

NT Police are calling for public assistance to find 17-year-old Curtis Crispin.



Mr Crispin is wanted in relation to the alleged unlawful use of a motor vehicle, stealing and assault.

A MAN*COON* who brutally bashed his wife — stomping and kicking her until her ribs broke and her skull fractured — before she bled to death in a tin shed at an Alice Springs town camp two years ago, has been sentenced to life imprisonment.


Stanley Scrutton, 40, was found guilty by a jury for the 2014 Charles Creek murder of 36-year-old Wendy Murphy in the Northern Territory Supreme Court last Friday.

The court heard in the early hours of December 20, 2014, Ms Murphy died from a brain bleed — with fractured ribs and bruised lungs and bowel "substantially contributing" to the death — after a "disgraceful beating" inside a 24-square-metre tin shed.

The couple had been married for 10 years.

The jury took about four hours to reach their verdict.

Crown prosecutor Stephen Robson told the court Scrutton kicked and stomped his 60kg wife after she fell to the ground during the attack.

TWO men trashed a Darwin fast food store after being refused service by staff because the restaurant was closing.


Police were called to the Red Rooster store at Northlakes at 10pm on Thursday by staff when the pair became aggressive towards staff.

Territory Duty Superintendent Kylie Proctor said the pair threw chairs around the shop after being told they couldn't order a roasted chicken meal.


"The duty manager at Red Rooster Northlakes called to report that two males had become enraged when informed they couldn't buy food because the store was closing," she said.

"Both offenders started throwing chairs around and yelling and screaming at the staff demanding their food.

"On our arrival both were arrested for disorderly behaviour in a public place and their food money will now be going towards paying for substantial fines."

So this is the tantrum the boongs threw when they weren't able to get hold of their chicken? ... WELL WHO EVER THOUGHT?

AN ABUSIVE*Abo* woman has given the phrase "carrying on like a pork chop" a new meaning after a bizarre incident with two St John Ambulance paramedics.

St John Ambulance spokesman Craig Garraway said the paramedics were driving along Daly St when they spotted a 21-year-old woman sitting in the middle of the road.

The pair stopped and wound down their window to check on the woman when the pork chop was hurled at them.

Mr Garraway said the pork chop grazed the driver and passenger before falling on the floor of the ambulance.

Territory Superintendent Kylie Proctor said the woman wasn't charged but was fined more than $450.

Well we know it wasn't a Jew or Muslim. Besides who else in Darwin sits in the middle of a road grasping a Pork chop... stupid boongs!
