THE man who won a Federal Court case against a Darwin strip club after he was racially abused by a bouncer says he will donate his compensation money to charity. 
 
Waqas Haider was verbally abused and physically assaulted by the Honey Pot strip club bouncer on Mitchell St in ­February last year.

Mr Haider had been walking down the street when he collected some stray balloons to prevent a road accident and was targeted by the bouncer who called him a "f***ing Indian" and continued to taunt him before pushing him.

In the Federal Court on ­Friday, Justice John Mansfield ruled that the bouncer committed unlawful discrimination against Mr Haider.



The bouncer's employer, the Honey Pot Club, was ­ordered to pay $9000 in compensation for the loss and damage Mr Haider suffered.

Mr Haider said he had ­decided to give the money to a charity for education.
(How about the RSPCA? some people think all kinds of animals deserve rights? no? what about the Down syndrome society)?

"I think I would achieve my purpose if this money could help creating the awareness about such critical issues even in one person only," he said.

"This case itself is a triumph of Australian values.
Australian values were initially white Australia policy and banishing and slaying Asian parasites at the Lambing Flat Gold fields as well as Tasmania doing a number on coons! What would this Paki know about "Australian" Values?

"I went to Federal Court to get acknowledgment and now I have ­received it."

That doesn't mean everyone else acknowledges you are "Australian" and accepted you Paki scum! Nobody likes you slimey brown rats!

A MAN has been captured on camera racially abusing Hungry Jack's workers during an expletive-laden tirade at an Adelaide store. 
 
Footage of the incident, captured by a customer in the Rundle St store about 5.10pm on Friday, shows a man wearing a black T-shirt and jeans standing at the counter having placed his order.

He can be heard telling staff "I want it made by a white person" and then saying "I refuse it".

A fellow customer who hears the altercation asks "What's wrong with a Chinese guy making your burger?", to which the man replies "Everything. You don't belong here, do you?".

A female staff member then asks the man to leave the store, resulting in a further racist outburst.

"At least I'm born here c---. Where do you come from, f---ing Africa and Asia? Disgusting."

"F--- off, I'm Australia you c---," he tells one customer, who responds by pushing him in the chest and saying "What's that got to do with being Australian? We are all f---ing Australian."

The man is then escorted out the door by the customer, who is seen hitting the man in the back of the head and pushing him out of the store.

"Wait until I come back with the Rebels (Motorcycle Club) you f---ing idiot," the man shouts.

The customer mocks him by making the sound of a revving motorbike.

A police spokesman said witnesses had given a description of the man and advised he had walked out of the store.

A Gawler man, 19, was arrested a short distance away and charged with disorderly behaviour.

He was bailed to appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court on March 26.

Hungry Jack's Rundle St management declined to comment about the incident and the welfare of their staff.

The SA head office was closed on Sunday and unavailable for comment.

Allright so the article is about a white man saying he'd prefer his food to be prepared by a white person.. and that he finds it disgusting Africans and Asians are touching his food.. so this is the big deal here??

THREE cab drivers refused fares to two Indigenous men because they were "intimidated by the face paint" on one of the passengers who had taken part in a traditional ceremony in Darwin. 
 
Blue Taxi Company spokeswoman Nikki Sadiq said the matter was investigated internally and had been handed over to the NT Department of Transport.

"We had a word with all three drivers who were dispatched to the job who said the reason they didn't pick up the passengers was because they were coming out of ceremony and (one of them) had oil paint on his face and the drivers felt intimidated by the face paint," Ms Sadiq said.

"Our policy is that if the driver feels intimidated or doesn't feel secure, they are allowed to refuse the fare."

Ms Sadiq said the company was contacted by the Department of Transport's Commercial Passenger Vehicles (CPV) branch and asked to submit a formal report regarding the incidents after the NT News reported the story.

The Department of Transport did not respond to questions from the NT News.

Ms Sadiq said the drivers had not been penalised.

"It is still being investigated," she said.

"We don't reject the Indigenous people.

"Most of the time we pick them up unless they're very intoxicated or the driver feels intimidated."

The passengers who were shunned by the cab drivers were prominent Territory musicians Jonathan 'Johnno' and Djunga Djunga Yunupingu — the brother and uncle of international singing star Gurrumul.

They had attended a funeral and were waiting for a pre-booked taxi to take them from the Skinnyfish Music offices in Fannie Bay to Palmerston around 4pm on Friday April 18.

Skinnyfish co-director Michael Hohnen said the taxi arrived but took off without stopping when the driver saw the men.

"I rang back and booked another one and the same thing happened another two times," Mr Hohnen said.

"It took four attempts to get one to stop.

"I've seen it time and time again over my 20-plus years working with Indigenous artists."

Mr Hohnen said there was a "need for public education" in relation to Aboriginal culture and stereotypes.

"It's an issue that needs to be addressed because many people wear makeup and paint," he said.

"I suppose it's how and by whom the paint is worn that is the issue."


NT Taxi Council chief executive Les Whittaker said he had "informed regulators about the incident" at a national taxi conference in Melbourne earlier in the week.

Mr Whittaker said the drivers could be fined penalty points for refusing the fares, depending on the outcome of the NT Departent of Transport's investigation.

"One penalty point is worth $140, they could be fined several penalty points, but it will depend on the circumstances," he said.

"Depending how serious an offence is, some drivers can have their licenses suspended for a period of time."

NT Anti-Discrimination Commissioner Sally Sievers said the incident was "potentially discriminatory".

"The legislation I administer says people who supply goods and services shall not discriminate against another person by refusing to supply goods or services or giving less favourable treatment based on things like race," Ms Sievers said.
