Why We Do It

Once in a while I'll stumble across something, not directly related to Creativity, that reminds me why I'm a Creator.
This is one such find:

Something about this picture- something I can't explain- resonates with me. It says that this is beautiful and should be protected. It says the world should be more like this and less like it is now. I'm sure many of you can relate.

By all appearances, an example of an honest, hard  working, White, farming family taking a break from the day's chores. The picture shows several elements of rural European culture that differentiate the family from your modern British, American or Australian family. However, if the photo had been taken circa 1975 or earlier, with the obvious modernities such as the plastic toy tractor replaced by a wood or metal toy tractor, there would be no telling where (or when) in the formerly White world that picture had been taken. Picnicking with a home cooked meal and home baked bread rather than buckets of Kentucky Fried Filth, and the ladies wearing head scarves to keep their hair in place is very much a part of my memories. It's life as it was for us all and still is for some, without the dehumanising imposition of cultureless modernity that comes from the daily viewing of life through the prism of Hollywood.

To put it bluntly, the Jew has screwed up here. In his attempt to impress upon us our cultural differences from a humble Transylvanian farming family, the Jew has instead reminded us of who we are.
