Thanks you brother for your kind words. But just to be fair its not simply a problem for our brothers in the US its a problem for all of our church. So as a church we should all help in this matter. if our founder was buried here in scotland i would find it hard to sort it.
And America is much larger.
And on the subject of moving money around the world paypal is a simple and easy way to do this. But it needs sorted not just for now but in the future. Thats why i think its a good idea to have a fund. Its not right or fair to leave it up to our American brothers to do this alone.
But someone over there has to take the lead. Unless you all would like to pay for me to travel from Scotland to do it. I am up for that i get to sort the problem get a holiday, Meet brothers over there, and show off my artistic side.    I will even bring my own spade UK type for digging. Not much point bringing the other type. we did that in the past and look at the shit that has caused.

I would say that I am the member that is the nearset to the site as of now but I could be wrong. I am trying my best to get up to it. Things has been been crazy for me the past few months. I do think I will be able to go up there soon .... maybe the 1st of the year.  I would not  take or ask for any money for doing this. I would feel honor to do this for the CHURCH

Brother Jim you are the man. First to stand up and be counted. Well done. I and i am sure lots of others in our church will be most greatfull to you if you can do this. It really is a blot on our church that our founders grave got in this state. If you need to change your mind on the costs involved please feel free to pm me if you prefer. I am also sure that you will do a good job, as i for one know how committed to the church and your people you are. 
I will also like to take this opportunity to say to our other brothers over in the US. Dont leave it all to brother jim some of you must be able to take a small holiday to the area sometime throughout the year to help with the upkeep. We cant let this problem keep coming back time and time again.

As I've said in the past we're looking into it. At this point we're ironing out the details. Our brother nearest to the grave- brother Jim- is hours away and until recently, unemployed.

You do bring up a great point: funding.  In fact reverend, I'd like you to be treasurer of just such a fund. I'd like you to contact Jim to calculate the cost of such a trip. When the funds have been collected we will see to it that the site is properly maintained. Let's see if we can have Our Founder's grave start the new year in pristine condition.

As brother John said it speaks volumes about your character that you are so passionate about this project. Thank you for your dedication.

Thank you for your kind words brother.
But i want to say this in public keeping in mind we are all brothers and men. I know if it was the otherway around and the grave was here and some one from over the pond was having a go about it. I would be pissed off.
So with that in mind i want to say outright t I know you creators over there are some of the most committed dedicated and honorable men in our church. And it was not my intention to give any offence in this matter. I will look into taking cash for the funds. But i do think it would be better if it could be done inside the US as it would save lots of problems. But if need be i will step up.

I agree. This should be handled locally but, to my knowledge, we have no experienced brothers in the states willing to hold funds. I hope to see that change in the very near future.

Klassen said, "there will never, never be a better time than now." So right now I'm putting you in charge of collecting donations. That may very well change in the future as we move the operation stateside. Consider your position temporary and absolutely necessary.

Jim, having volunteered, is in charge of maintenance. Ideally collection of funds will transfer to him so the whole operation can be run by one local church. I haven't spoken with him about that aspect of it so until he accepts that responsibility, go ahead and get started. If you wish to transfer responsibility for managing maintenance funds to him, feel free to work that out between you two. Just let me know so I can keep tabs on everything.
