A MAN has dragged a woman from a Woodville Park bus stop into his car and sexually assaulted her.                                       
The woman, 25, was waiting at bus stop 25 on the southern side of Torrens Rd between 6.30pm and 7pm yesterday when a man in a dark green Commodore pulled up.
He got out and spoke to the woman briefly before grabbing her by the wrist and dragging her into the front passenger seat of the car.
The man drove the woman to nearby Stanley St where he sexually assaulted her, police said.
The woman, who was not physically injured, was able to escape from the man and sought help nearby.
Sexual Crime Investigation Branch Detective Superintendent Damien Powell said the attack lasted up to half an hour.
"The sexual assault has occurred both within and outside the car," he said."We think that it's occurred within about a 30-minute period but we can't narrow it down any further at this time.
"An examination of the scene has been conducted and forensic material has been identified and is waiting further analysis."
Det-Supt Powell said the suspect had approached the woman as though he knew her.
"We don't have enough specific details around the actual words at this point in time," he said.
"What we know at this stage is that the man had somehow intimated that he knew her, but the woman doesn't recognise this man so clearly that was not the case.
"It's quite a traumatic experience for the woman and our detectives will be speaking with the woman over an extended period of time as more information comes to light to assist us."
The suspect was described as man with dark skin but his nationality is unknown. He was aged 20-30, with a medium build, short dark hair, dark eyes and was wearing black track suit pants and a dark short-sleeved top.

THREE men who staged a masked firebomb attack on a pregnant couple's home have left court without convictions because of their mental disabilities.                                       
The Adelaide Magistrates Court today released Aaron James Buttfield, Daniel Graham James Pool and Yiorgo Fotis Zabanias without convictions and on $200 bonds for arson.
Buttfield, 21, Pool, 22 and Zabanias, 23, each pleaded guilty to committing one count of arson at Lockleys on May 14 last year.
The court heard the trio and the couple had previously clashed over the riding of a dirt bike in Linear Park and burnouts in the street.
On the night of the incident, the trio made a makeshift firebomb in Buttfield's home before Pool drove them all to the neighbours' house.
Zabanias donned a full-face mask from the movie Scream and set the device off on the couple's veranda.



I's say the clown that did it is either an Armenian or a Turk.

                                                   A TAXI driver has described the terrifying moment he was threatened with a knife outside a Como house last night.                                       
Muhammad Younas, 33, had dropped a passenger at a house on Barker Street about 11.30pm when a man pulled up in a yellow ute, approached the taxi and demanded money.

Mr Younas said the man opened his door and held a "foot-long" knife to his throat, threatening to kill him if he did not hand over money.

He handed over a coin-holder, which the man used to hit him in the face.
"Last night was horrible. It was very scary," Mr Younas said.

"He said 'if you don't give me the money on the count of three I will kill you right here'.
"I told him I had given him all the money but I think he hit me so I would not be able to read the registration number."     
                                                                 
Mr Younas, who moved to Australia from Pakistan in 2008 and has a one-month-old baby, said the man only stopped his attack when the customer came out from his home.
"My wife started crying when I told her the story... I'm thinking about driving in the mornings now."


Det Sgt Nesib Uzonovic from Kensington Detectives urged the public to come forward with information.
He said the attacker was of African appearance, aged about 25, with a medium build.

A CRAB fisherman who macheted another fisho in an argument about stolen crab pots has been jailed for at least three years.
Rolando Alolor, now 40, got involved in an altercation between two other commercial crabbers on Bynoe Harbour on Australia Day 2011, a second NT Supreme Court jury has heard.
Alolor's friend who had been fishing in the area, Narciso Camposo, had been accused by Matthew Mitchell of stealing pots. Mr Camposo had been allegedly punched several times by Mr Mitchell.
Alolor, a father of eight, then got involved by driving his boat alongside from where he attacked Mr Mitchell with a machete, made deep lacerations on his hand, neck, triceps tendon, severed an ear lobe, and fractured his right elbow.
Mr Mitchell sped away, then left his boat up a small creek to hide in mangroves. Alolor caught up with the empty boat, stole the boat's key and taunted him before steaming back to Darwin.
Mr Mitchell, unable to leave and bleeding heavily, set off an emergency position indicating radio beacon and was helicoptered to Royal Darwin Hospital.    In sentencing Alolor, NT Supreme Court Chief Justice Trevor Riley said: "The chase was a dramatic event of the kind seen in action movies".
"You maintained that you were pursuing him to help him because of his injuries.
"Whilst you were there, you called out, 'You have to come out at some time'.
"It is clear that you were not waiting for him to offer him assistance."
Justice Riley said the theft of Mr Mitchell's key could have meant death if he was without an Epirb.
"Your conduct in leaving this seriously injured man in amongst the mangroves at a remote location was quite callous," he said.
Mr Mitchell's victim impact statement said he suffers nightmares and anxiety, avoids fishing and crowded places, and has sold his commercial boat and equipment because of reduced flexibility to work.
He required plastic surgery, at least 33 stitches, and several operations.
"His fishing business was part of a lifestyle he enjoyed which is no longer available to him," Justice Riley said.

A MAN has followed a young woman from a Sydney train station to her unit and assaulted her after forcing his way inside.
The 20-year-old woman had travelled by train from Town Hall to Bondi Junction about 12.15am (AEST) on Sunday.
She got off the train and began walking to her Oxford Street unit when she noticed a man of Asian appearance following her.
The young woman was opening her front door when she turned around to see the man - wearing a plain black cap, black hooded jumper and black track pants - standing on her doorstep.
She began screaming but he put his hand over her mouth and forced his way inside.
The woman continued to scream until the man left the apartment and was last seen walking west on Oxford Street towards Bronte Road.
A nearby shop owner came to the woman's aid after he saw the man leave.
The attacker has been described to police as being of about 25-30 years old, 175cm tall and of an athletic, medium build.
Police said the young woman wasn't physically injured but was left badly shaken by the incident.
