I added this one because I see it everywhere on YouTube. The claim is that if you buy a single square foot of land, they will plant a tree and you will automatically be legally and officially referred to as a Lord or Lady. They will then email you a certificate you can print out. IT'S A LIE!

You cannot buy a single foot of land in Scotland. Titles such as Lord and Lady are granted in Scotland by the Scottish government via Lord Lyon King of Arms. Titles through peerage can be inherited or bought. Lord Lyon will not elevate any Scottish land holder just because they own one square foot of turf. Can you believe it?
