Nerd Tips: Windows Update

If you are using any version of Windows from Windows 7 through to Windows 10, or you are using an older version of Windows 11, update now to the 2023 version with this upgrade:

This Windows version is 23H2 - 22631 - English International and Russian
 * You can upgrade without any loss at all
 * Upgrade with loss of software - but all files and accounts retained
 * Wipe everything and start again

Warning: If your system is English US, you only have the following options:
 * Upgrade with loss of software - but all files and accounts retained
 * Wipe everything and start again

If it's just downloaded files that you want to save, then upgrade. Whether you retain all installed software, settings and downloaded files, or it's just downloaded files, this version of Windows 11 is better than previous versions of Windows 11. I recommend getting it while you can.

After installation, there will be some useful Windows Updates coming. So make sure to allow Windows Updates.

IF you are already using Windows 11 ...
Download the Attached File below. Run it in Windows Powershell
I set it as a .TXT file so either rename or copy and paste into Powershell and Run
 * Reboot
 * Open With File Explorer
 * Run Setup

No more pissing about trying to find or hack or crack another version of Win11. Just use the stock standard Windows issue - or you can try:

At this time - Halloween 23, get Windows version 23H2.
Then you are covered for the next several years of updates.
MS has already discontinued supporting Win11 21H2 and all Win10.

Your Windows 11 will remain cracked until you run the attached Powershell file again.

The newer Windows 11 does run better on older systems. I use an i7 from ten years ago that MS barred from Win11 - but I do what I want. I also put it on my girlfriend's primitive system and that runs better than the original Windows 7. Of course, Linux Lite would run better again, but she now has two shitty old laptops, and one is for her security cameras which NEEDS Win11 - and as I said, works better than Win7. The other for just internet browsing runs Linux Lite.
