Prosecutors from the northern German state of Schleswig-Holstein have charged a 91-year-old German woman - whose name has not been revealed because of German privacy laws - with 260,000 counts of accessory to murder, the Associated Press reported on Monday. The nonagenarian allegedly worked as a radio operator for the commandant at the Auschwitz concentration camp complex from April to July 1944. There are no signs that she is unfit to stand trial, says Heinz Doellel, a spokesman for the prosecutors, but a court may not decide whether to pursue her case until next year, the AP reported.

Polish prosecutors on Thursday opened a libel probe against a US historian after he claimed Poles killed more Jews than Germans during World War II. Last month, German newspaper Die Welt ran an article by the Polish-born Princeton University professor Jan T. Gross in which he sought to explain Poland's wariness of accepting Syrian migrants streaming into Europe by referring to anti-Semitism during the war. "The Poles, for example, were indeed rightfully proud of their society's resistance against the Nazis, but in fact did kill more Jews than Germans during the war," wrote the 68-year-old Jewish historian ... Nowak told public television that the [prosecutor's] office was acting under a paragraph of the criminal code that "provides that any person who publicly insults the Polish nation is punishable by up to three years in prison".

The court of appeals of Paris confirmed today the conviction of the radical right-wing author Alain Soral, requiring him to pay a fine of 6,000 euros for inciting hatred against the journalist Frédéric Haziza and against the Jews as well ... On his website, Alain Soral described Mr. Haziza as "a journalist of a community about which we have no right to talk about, [a community] which is occupying ... Yes, that's the correct word... The Nazi ruler, Netanyahu said, had no intention of killing the Jews, but only to expel them. In a speech before the World Zionist Congress in Jerusalem, Netanyahu described a meeting between Husseini and Hitler in November, 1941: "Hitler didn't want to exterminate the Jews at the time, he wanted to expel the Jew. And Haj Amin al-Husseini went to Hitler and said, 'If you expel them, they'll all come here (to Palestine).' According to Netanyahu, Hitler then asked: "What should I do with them?" and the mufti replied: "Burn them."
