Holidays!

https://creativityalliance.com/about-our-church/creator-calendar

One of the most interesting things about any religion is its calendar — how the years are marked and what occasions are commemorated can tell us a lot about a religion's priorities and sense of sacred time. The Creative calendar is relatively sparse, with 7 holidays and the majority of the months being holiday-free, but it's no less interesting or impactful for all that; and any Creator should be keen to mark those few holidays.

As Thanksgiving approaches here in the United States we are rapidly entering 'the holiday season' and I'm pleased to note that Creators, like the Romans and so many others, maintain a festive winter holiday — in our case the Festum Album, the last and longest Creative holiday in the liturgical year that appears to have more than a passing resemblance to a White version of Kwanzaa. How do you celebrate the Festum Album and other holidays? Do you have a favourite holiday, or specific holiday traditions?
"We mean to be what Nature created us to be — masters of this planet. Being endowed with these wonderful qualities, it is the duty of the White Man to utilise them to the fullest for the benefit of himself, and his race as a whole. Remember, Nature has selected you as its greatest creation. It has endowed you with all of these wonderful qualities. Utilise them to the fullest. You can and must do no less." — Nature's Eternal Religion, p. 273

I don't mean to bah humbug our Holy Days, but I live alone. I no longer celebrate any holiday of any kind, including my birthday, unless somebody visits or phones me on that day. Then I express the appropriate response. Unless of course someone wishes me Merry Xmas, then my response really is "Bah, humbug!"

When people try to share Xmas songs with me, I always respond with https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=Scrooge+-+I+Hate+People It's a hobby.

The one day that I do try to remember and acknowledge each year is the anniversary of the birth of our glorious founder, Ben Klassen.

And if I'm still awake at midnight on New Year's Eve, I may put on some bagpipes. But I will not countdown the seconds to midnight, hold hands and dance and sing Auld Lang Syne. All of that disappeared along with my childhood.

As for Festum Album, I dismissed it upon first viewing it; but I was soon talked around. Festum Album was made up by Reverend John King (WCOTC) for Yule 2001/2002. Quite simply, Festum Album is a good idea for families with children. If a Creator visits on a day falling within the Yule period, I'll light my three candles mounted on their Big W.

When his cause succeeds, the timid join him, for then it costs nothing to be a patriot."

I guess if you've got to celebrate any Creative holiday it ought to be Founder's Day! Maybe a nice occasion to crack open a beer.

Festum Album seems like a very fun occasion to me to be honest, children or no. I'm delighted to see the document you linked is replete with a candle-lighting ceremony — I wanted to ask whether some sort of candle thing would be appropriate, or whether it would seem like apeing the niggers and Jews — and plenty of other information besides. Definitely handy as December comes racing toward us!
