One of Germany's most famous landmarks will go dark on Monday night as thousands people are expected to flood the streets in anti-Islam demonstrations. As the Pegida movement against the so-called "Islamification of the West" has grown, so has opposition to it and Cologne Cathedral's silent protest is set to be one of the most symbolic so far.

It will turn its lights off for almost three hours during the rally, following the example of the Semperoper concert hall in Dresden, where the protests have been centred. In December, more than 17,000 people marched on the city with the "Patriotic Europeans against the Islamification of the West", filling the city's historic square singing Christmas carols and waving German flags.

Refugees sue Aussie govt. over poor healthcare on Christmas Island -

Asylum-seekers are suing the Australian government, seeking compensation for injuries and better medical care.  Attorneys representing the immigrants say a class action has been filed on behalf of refugees who've been injured, or have seen their injuries worsen, while detained on Christmas Island. They say the government's failure to provide adequate medical care in camps on the Australian territory has compromised the health of refugees. The lawyers say doctors who have visited detention camps agree that standards there fall well short of the Australian regulations. Over the past several years, thousands of people have been held on Christmas Island, in the Indian Ocean. There are currently 759 men, 97 women and 148 children in detention there.

Note: I have tried linking more articles but upload tool is only allowing one link, however a quick search is all that is needed to see that these new unbelievable laws are in fact reality.

These two statements, both uttered by men who were or would become British prime minister, are separated by more than 100 years in time — and 1,000 light years in ideology. For you can be arrested for quoting Churchill's comment in today's U.K as proven by Paul Weston last year.  I am hearing that new laws are being passed in Sweden that make it illegal for native Swedes to criticize immigration policy and the government's lack of action regarding it. This is unbelievable, it was bad enough when 2 parties joined forces to eliminate any influence of an anti-immigration party. This tactic effectively takes away the democratic rights of a massive proportion of the population.

The same thing happened here in Australia, a party called One Nation received 1 million votes, so our liberal(center) and labour(left) joined forces like never before to deny the democratic right of 1 million people.  I am hearing it is the same in France, and most of Europe. Is this true? Could Liveleakers be charged and fined for writing posts critical of Islam and Immigration?  The far leftists like to scream about how they are defending freedoms, they like to claim that the right owns mainstream media, what a load of bull*. Firstly, the new fascists are the anti-fascists and only want freedom for their own speech, secondly if the media was controlled by the right, there would be no way these laws could be passed or that so many people are unaware of them.

Come on, even center-leftists have to agree that this has gone too damn far.

Up to 2,000 people gathered in Stockholm while around 500 people gathered in Gothenburg and between 600-700 people in Malmo, organizers of the protests said. Around 40 different groups organized the protests, including Sweden's Muslim Council and the Swedish United Nations Association.

They said in a statement on their Facebook page, "Swedish Muslims testify about how racism in general and Islamophobia in particular are growing stronger in Sweden. Hate crimes against individuals and assembly premises are occurring more often and we (believe) that religious freedom is under threat in Sweden." The demonstrations come days after three mosques were attacked by arsonists in Eskilstuna, Eslov and Uppsala.

Sweden's Culture Minister Alice Bah Kuhnke, who attended the protest in Stockholm, said during a speech that she will meet representatives of various Muslim communities in February as part of a national strategy against Islamophobia in Sweden. ''Then the government will go from saying beautiful words to actually taking action,'' Kuhnke said.

Swedish police have increased security around mosques in Sweden after a mosque in the Eastern city of Uppsala was set on fire on New Year's Eve, making it the third arson attack on a mosque in Sweden since December 25 when a blaze was started at a mosque in the Southeast town of Eskilstuna, injuring five people.
