Press Release 5 December 2014 - "At a press conference at the Transvaal Agricultural Union today, Dr. Gregory Stanton, Founding President of Genocide Watch, warned that early warnings of genocide are still deep in South African society, though genocide has not begun.
Dr. Stanton was deeply involved in the Civil Rights Movement in the United States, worked against Apartheid with the United Democratic Front in 1989 – 1990 as a Fulbright Professor of Law at the University of Swaziland, and was the author of the UN Resolutions that created the International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda in 1994. He was also the legal advisor to the government of Cambodia and drafted the rules for the Khmer Rouge Tribunal. He founded Genocide Watch and the International Alliance to End Genocide in 1999. The Alliance now has fifty member organizations in 24 countries.
Genocide Watch was the first international human rights organization to protest the murders and hate crimes committed against farmers in South Africa.

ANCHORAGE, Alaska — Alaska's first mosque has risen quietly over the last few years in a gravel lot in a South Anchorage commercial district, a neighbor to a Korean Presbyterian church, a couple of auto repair garages, a drive-through Chinese restaurant and a Sons of Norway hall.

A few weeks ago, Sam Obeidi, vice president of the Islamic Community Center Anchorage Alaska, turned a key and pushed open the mosque's door, flipping on a light in a hallway that smelled of drywall plaster and new carpet.

OTTAWA - A slickly produced video released on Sunday urged Muslims to launch indiscriminate attacks against Canadians, similar to those carried out in October in Ottawa and Montreal.

The SITE Intelligence Group, an American based company that monitors trends within the global jihadist movement, said the video was produced by the Islamic State and the Levant. It was also been distributed on Twitter and jihadi forums. On the video a man, who says he is a Canadian and identifies himself as "Abu Anwar al-Canadi," urges his Muslim countrymen to follow the example of Martin Couture-Rouleau.

The 23-year-old is among dozens of Canadians under RCMP investigation after allegedly making their way to Syria. Couture-Rouleau killed one soldier — warrant officer Patrice Vincent — and injured another when he ran them down with a car in St-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Que., in October.

The video also references Michael Zehaf Bibeau's October attack in which he killed an honour guard at the National War Memorial in Ottawa before being shot dead while storming Parliament Hill. "O people of Canada, you are said to be an educated people," Abu Anwar says in clear English as the video begins.

"So what is preventing you from being able to put two and two together and understanding that operations such as that of brother Ahmed Rouleau of Montreal and the storming of Parliament Hill in Ottawa, are carried out in direct response to your participation in the coalition of nations waging war against the Muslim people?"
