During high energy periods I've noticed that "dead" fluorescent bulbs at a friends house (that were still installed) would flicker for a moment.  After being exposed to fluorescent bulbs for a, what I would consider, extended period of time, I noticed I would feel my energy drained. Others I've talked to experienced headaches.

After doing a little searching I've found a little information for your mental enjoyment.

Some people, including lupus patients, have reported headaches, red blotchy spots, hair loss, and more.

Also, another page shows that you can use the electricity from your hair to light a light bulb.

Light a fluorescent light bulb with your hair

WARNING!: DO NOT USE ELECTRICITY FROM A WALL OUTLET FOR THIS EXPERIMENT AND BE CAREFUL NOT TO BREAK THE FLUROESCENT TUBE!

You can light a fluorescent light bulb (but not an incandescent light bulb - so make sure to use a fluorescent one!) with static electricity derived from your hair. It works on the same principle as bending the water stream with a plastic comb charged by your hair as above.

Take a light bulb and clean comb into a dark room (take your clean hair with you too!). Comb your clean, dry hair to build up a negative charge in the comb. You may need to comb quite vigorously as you will need quite a lot of charge in the comb to make this trick work.

Touch the charged part of the comb to the fluorescent light bulb and watch very carefully. You should be able to see small sparks inside the tube/bulb. When the charged comb touches the bulb, electrons will move from it to the bulb, causing the small sparks of light inside. In normal operation, the electrons to light the bulb come from the electrical power lines through a wire in the end of the fluorescent tube. You may also be able to get light inside the tube by brining it close to your hair soon after combing. Your hair has lost electrons to the comb, so it is positively charged. It can collect electrons from the fluorescent bulb.

Kaden loved the smell of starch.  The smell brought back old memories of playing with miniature soldiers around his mother's feet as she cleaned and pressed the week's laundry.  Now, that smell lingered around the rigid collar of his snow white shirt.  He stood with his parents on the front pew of the church, his father, in his best suit, on his left and his mother, in her finest dress, on his right, as the church enjoyed a rendition of Beethoven's Fur Elise as performed by Reverend O'Neill's youngest daughter, Aileen.

Kaden could never keep his eyes on Aileen for too long- not that he didn't want to.  She was glorious to behold- golden locks of hair tumbling across her shoulders and down her back, eyes bluer than the brightest summer sky, and lightly tanned skin with just a hint of red in her cheeks- and this was exactly the reason his eyes failed him.  His cheeks would heat up when she met his gaze and try as he might to resist, he would have to look away.  He had considered approaching her but there were numerous reasons why he hesitated.  To begin, she's the ministers daughter- a woman of very noble birth, indeed.  Her father would not consent to her seeing just any farm boy- the minister would look for a person blessed with heroism, courage, honor, and characteristics of high birth to father his grandchildren.  Not to mention that he was yet a boy- until today.  In a few short moments, the guest of the hour would be announced, the minister would begin the ceremony, and Kaden would step onto the predella, past the altar where only few could go, and recite the pledge that would make him a White man in the eyes of his family.

As if on cue, the congregation burst into thunderous applause as Aileen concluded the composition.  She courteously pushed away from the piano and rose from the bench, faced the audience and curtsied- not as deeply and elaborately as Kaden's older sister had at the debutante ball in December, but still a pleasant sight.  Kaden watched as she descended the predella and took her seat beside her mother on the first pew opposite him.  She caught his gaze on the way and in spite of his efforts to fight it, Kaden felt his cheeks burn and he inconspicuously averted his gaze.  How is it that he would soon speak in front of the entire congregation without a moment's hesitation and yet this girl filled his stomach with butterflies?

Reverend O'Neill resumed his position behind the podium and raised his hands to silence the persisting applause.  Kaden felt his father's hand gently squeeze his shoulder and he looked up at him.  His father beamed with pride at his son's loyalty and courage.  Kaden smiled back- not in pride at his own traits but in recognition that his father and mother had given him the body and mind he needed to be his best.  The minister cleared his throat and began to speak.

"Ladies and Gentlemen, my esteemed White racial comrades! We are gathered here today to hear the affirmation of loyalty to the White Race from our Brother Kaden Harvey on this, his thirteenth birthday. We are here to witness his solemn pledge to remain true to the White Race, whatever the circumstances, so long as he shall live."

Kaden could feel his pulse quicken as the minister announced his name.  "Pre-battle nerves" he told himself.  He saw this ceremony as a battle over himself, over the childish nervousness he was displaying now.  He knew that when he finished the ceremony, he would be a different person- not physically, but mentally and spiritually.

"Today, our Brother is no longer a child, but is beginning his road to adulthood and those responsibilities which this establishes. The Church of the Creator truly recognizes that it is the youth of today who will carry the torch forward which we carry today, and it is our design that this youth be even more fervent and steeped in our Creed than the generation at the helm today."

Kaden could imagine himself in his future occupation- be it farmer, soldier, architect, or even minister- and seemed in awe of walking in the shoes of such a man as his father or Reverend O'Neill.  How could he be as great as these men?  He mentally recited the oft-heard axiom "Though the individual must perish, our Race will never die."  When one generation perishes, another will arise to replace it, ad infinitum, forever and ever.

"The Church of the Creator, whose religious creed is firmly based on the Eternal Laws of Nature as revealed through science, history, logic, and common sense, furthermore congratulates Braeden and Glenda Harvey, the parents of this young man for successfully raising him to be loyal to the White Race. This is a momentous and vital achievement in the struggle for our people.   We will now proceed with the Confirmation of Loyalty Ceremony."  The minister softly held Kaden's gaze. "Brother, come forward."

Kaden moved toward the altar, and examined the Creativity Flag and leather-bound copies of the Holy Books that adorned it.  He passed them with a sense of awe.  It was astounding that his entire way of life was built around the words of the genius who, in an act of deceptive simplicity, touched pen to paper half a century ago.  Upon reaching the minister, Kaden looked upon the congregation, whose members he hadn't accounted for.  He saw most of his schoolmates and all of his teachers from the previous school-year.  His parents beamed with pride from the front pew and he smiled back at them, displaying for the congregation the joy that he no longer tried to contain.  The faces smiling back at him from the pews were those of his family and friends- his extended family- and they were all proud of him for what he was doing.  In the same way that they had ensured his survival until now, he was returning the favor and ensuring their survival both now, and -through future generations- for the rest of eternity.

The minister held his own well-worn copy of Nature's Eternal Religion in his left hand and placed his right hand on Kaden's left shoulder to get his attention.  Kaden stepped back a few paces from the reverend and smiled.  Reverend O'Neill smiled back and said "Please raise your right hand in the Creative salute and repeat after me the following pledge," as he raised his own right hand in salute.

Kaden extended his right arm, palm down, toward Reverend O'Neill and let go of the last vestiges of childishness he had harbored.  These were his last words as a child, and his first words as a man.

"I pledge before these witnesses, and before Nature," the minister's voice resounded, aided not by amplification technology, but by the acoustically complementary architecture of the church.

Kaden repeated, "I pledge before these witnesses, and before Nature,"  He thought of his parents watching, but focused his eyes on the minister.

O'Neill continued avuncularly "that I am loyal to the White Race, loyal to The Church of the Creator, and loyal to its Commandments,"

Kaden continued "that I am loyal to the White Race, loyal to The Church of the Creator, and loyal to its Commandments," He briefly wished he could see if Aileen was watching.

"and will remain so, so long as I shall live." the minister concluded.

Kaden took a breath and picture himself on a threshold between being a child and being an adult.  He mentally stepped across that threshold as he returned the gaze of the minister and stated "and will remain so, so long as I shall live."

The church exploded into roaring applause.  Kaden was smiling so big that he thought his face couldn't contain it.  The minister smiled back and nodded, dropping his salute and in doing so, giving Kaden his cue to do the same.  Kaden turned to face the congregation.  His mother was in tears and smiling at the same time which he slightly worried about but his father was hugging her and smiling back at him so he decided that it wasn't bad enough to warrant his immediate attention.  The entire congregation seemed transfixed on him.  Even Aileen was smiling brightly at him with her bright blue eyes, and he picked out her applause from all the others and enjoyed it.  He smiled back at her, his biggest smile yet, and held her gaze.  To his pleasant surprise, his cheeks didn't grow hot, he didn't want to look anywhere else but into her eyes, and for a few seconds the church went quiet and they were the only two there.

Kaden vaguely heard the applause die down, but didn't pay too much heed.  The minister's booming voice finally returned his attention from his brief tête-à-tête engagement.

"Dear White racial comrades, let us too give a Creative salute to this young man and his parents!"  Kaden looked to his parents.  His mother was no longer crying but was all smiles and his father was practically leaving his pew with excitement.  Reverend O'Neill extended his right hand forward in the Roman style salute and shouted
"RAHOWA! RAHOWA! RAHOWA!"

Uniformly, the entire congregation, men and women, boys and girls, all but the very youngest saluted him and shouted "RAHOWA! RAHOWA! RAHOWA!"

The minister leaned towards him and said, low enough so only they could hear "Do you know why they shouted that?"  Kaden nodded in the negative.  "Because, Kaden,  they're greeting you for the first time as a White man."  Kaden smiled from ear to ear.

There's a limit to free speech- if that speech is not directed towards a White person expressing their opinion.  Should that be the case, the person can be derided as a racist, homophobic, holocaust denier who would probably own a slave if slavery were still legal - and have no recourse under the law.

We, as a race, need to force this double standard to be addressed in the highest courts - or simply change the mentality of the people until a case like this is laughed out of the court room.
