I'm going to be putting together a toolbox that novice windows users would find useful.
Its going to be a collection of freeware, open source, and abandonware.
It is going to have some system utilities, media utilities, communication, modem tools (trying to bring that back, more on that later), some automation tools, remote access utilities, various server software, blah blah blah...  you get the idea.

of course, nothing beats professional and commercial grade software....  but the free stuff is better than no stuff and a few commercial grade utility goodies have fallen into the abandonware pit and new and inexperienced computer users and visitors to the forum probably wouldn't have the experience level to find this stuff for themselves soooooooo....  putting it together in a collection sounds like a good idea to me.

if you have any suggestions let me know.

I'm going to try to keep it under 2 gig since googledrive limited file sizes and that is where I'm hoping to host it.

Also, making use of the "Text To Column" feature really helps clean the lists up. You can then see what URLs are connected to which link and then, for example..  replace "-String339948564" with "@!"  then "text to column" using "@" as a separator..  then the next column will have "!" in them..  then sort by that column, then delete the rest and tadah..  clean.

before text to column though you need to move everything from column B to column C (or whatever) so that it isn't overwritten with then names.   Then you can scroll through the list and be like "fake, fake, fake, fake", delete everything but the fake ones, program your macro.. click go, and watch it run.
