Former US top diplomat and failed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton became the first female chancellor of Queen's University in Belfast, but her triumphant entrance was picketed by hecklers protesting her as a "war criminal." Clinton was inaugurated on Friday as the first-ever female chancellor of Queen's ... Cries of "Shame on Queen's! Shame on you!" and "War criminal! Out! Out! Out!" could be heard from protesters outside the university's gates as Clinton made her way into the building, a little girl following behind carrying her cape. "We are delighted that Secretary Clinton has been able to travel to Belfast to be formally installed as the University's 11th chancellor," said Ian Greer, the president and vice-chancellor who actually runs Queen's on a daily basis...

Was murdered for political reasons

Clinton was awarded an honorary doctorate by the university in 2018, in recognition of her "exceptional public service in the US and globally, and for her contribution to peace and reconciliation" in Northern Ireland. She was first lady during the presidency of Bill Clinton, when the Good Friday Agreement ended most of the political violence of the Troubles between the Catholics and the Protestants.

To protesters outside, however, Clinton was a "war criminal" responsible for the destruction of Libya in 2011, when she led the State Department during the first Obama administration. After the US-led "regime change" intervention, the once-prosperous North African nation collapsed into a decade-long conflict between regional warlords. It was reported at one point that migrants from sub-Saharan Africa were being trafficked at open-air slave markets.

Several Democrats in Congress have expressed concern about the looming U.S. deficit default and government shutdown next month, saying there is no backup plan

  The Senate could vote on a House-passed measure that would provide funding to the federal government into early December and suspend the debt ceiling until 2022. Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) said that Republicans are unwilling to raise the debt ceiling, pointing to Democrats having control over both houses of Congress and the executive branch. "I don't know what the plan B is... Plan B is to have Republicans step up and be responsible," Sen. Debbie Stabenow (D-Mich.) "So then what's the plan?" Sen. Jon Tester (D-Mont.) told the publication. "We've got to pay our bills,"... On Wednesday, McConnell and Sen. Rick Scott (R-Fla.), a member of the Republican leadership in the Senate, called on Democrats to raise the debt ceiling. "This is a totally Democratic government. They have an obligation to raise the debt ceiling and they will do it,"... McConnell has introduced an alternative continuing resolution earlier this week that excludes suspension of the borrowing limit.

In the meantime, some Democrats, including House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.), have said that Republican votes are needed to pass both bills... On Thursday, Pelosi said during a weekly news conference that the continuing resolution to avoid a government shutdown and a measure to suspend the debt ceiling will be passed by the end of September. The White House circulated a memo in Congress last week that should the United States default on its debt, a number of federal programs and agencies would not be funded while adding that millions of jobs could be lost, triggering an economic recession. Previously, Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen warned that the ceiling could be hit sometime in October. Bond rating firm Moody's this week warned that six million jobs could be lost if the U.S. defaults. "Shutting the government down would not be an immediate hit to the economy, but a default would be a catastrophic blow to the nascent economic recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic,"... noting that the stock market could drop by as much as a third and wipe out trillions of dollars in household wealth... numerous experts believe that Congress will ultimately act to raise or suspend the borrowing limit.

The American activist Rob Rundo from the Rise Above Movement appeared on the Nordic Frontier podcase. RAM is an activist group that has focused strongly on combining the public-facing political struggle with martial arts, comradeship and a healthy lifestyle. They have also made a name for themselves by forcibly dealing with Antifa members who try to sabotage nationalist meetings. One thing I like about Rob Rundo is that he appears humble and sees RAM's work as a contribution to the movement as a whole... RAM protect meetings, meet conflicts head-on, and thus inspire a great many White men...

What purpose does it serve? To make nationalist friends who participate in the same activity as you? OK, but what will this group of friends achieve? And how will it recruit new people if it chooses isolation? Or is the purpose to create a counterculture, as RAM describes it? But then how will this counterculture make a real impact if it merely differs in name – and name alone – from the gym and martial arts training that regular sports clubs provide? Rundo talked a bit about the fact that the purpose of RAM's operations is to inspire manliness in young Whites. Masculinity, in relation to bodybuilding, is about what you do with the body once you have strengthened it... Training must never be an end in itself, but always a means. It must be about defending nationalist meetings or teaching other Nordic people to defend themselves. "Self-realisation" is a liberal idea from the degenerate democratic age we live in; it is feminine. Sacrificing oneself is the masculine principle. Here I think RAM sets a good standard...
