More good immigration news has landed from Europe.

As England did two weeks ago, Denmark has inked a deal with another country to deport "migrants." Kosovo has agreed to refurbish an old prison, where the criminal "migrants" will serve their time. Inmates who are not Danish nationals will be serving sentences meted out by Danish courts in a prison located in the Kosovan city of Gjilan. The penitentiary facility will, however, first have to be refurbished so that conditions in there are in line with those found in Danish jails. ... The BBC reported at the time that Denmark would shell out €15 million annually for an initial period of five years. On top of that, Copenhagen will reportedly help Pristina develop green energy in the Balkan region in exchange. ... The agreement "sends a clear signal to foreigners from third-party countries who have been sentenced to deportation" that their "future is not in Denmark and therefore you won't serve your sentence here." And best for the Danes, once the criminals have served their sentences, they "will be deported back to their countries of origin." The deal is similar to England's with Rwanda, except that one will deport illegal aliens, not just criminal aliens, who landed in the country after January

US Army to Test Largest-Ever Drone Swarm

The US Army plans to deploy a swarm of 30 drones over a desert in Utah as part of the 2022 Experimental Demonstration Gateway Exercise later this month.

Launched from various aircraft and ground vehicles, the swarm will be the largest collection of drones that the US Army has ever tested.  Among the drones in the swarm will be Area-I's small Air-Launched, Tube-Integrated, Unmanned System 600 (ALTIUS 600... The swarm will converge on a target area, sense enemy forces using infrared sensors and electronic warfare payloads, fix their positions, and feed information back to networked ground troops. According to army Future Vertical Lift Cross-Functional Team Maj. Gen. Walter Rugen, spectators in the upcoming exercise will see the "expansive use" of electronic warfare and an interactive drone swarm.

"Which again shows, in my mind, just the flexibility of our air-launched effects initiatives, because we can launch it from the air, we can launch it from the ground, we can launch from fixed-wing, rotary-wing, any type of ground vehicle." The plan is to use networked drones to sense, detect, identify, and potentially strike enemy positions before helicopters arrive on the scene.

The swarm will autonomously scan vast terrain, feeding video and targeting information to manned platforms. The drones will carry either passive or active capabilities, equipped with electro-optical or infrared imaging cameras, electronic jamming equipment, or a powerful warhead for strikes on enemy targets.

Another night in Chicago.  Around 300 teens converge on the  Loop.  Police are called in.  Over a dozen are arrested and at least  four are sent to the hospital. Chicago has turned into a third-world country.  Nearly every night  there are reports of violence. The weekends are turning into  nightmares. Chicago police detained more than a dozen people, mostly juveniles,  as a "large group" of young people converged on the Loop and Millennium  Park yesterday evening, according to initial information. EMS  transported least four juveniles to hospitals for various injuries  during the hours-long incident.

An officer who worked in the area estimated the crowd at  between 300 and 400 people. The group formed near Cloud Gate, the sculpture commonly called "The  Bean," around 7 p.m. Police began reporting fights throughout the area  and people running into the streets a short time later. Officers arrested two juveniles and recovered a handgun after cops  monitoring surveillance cameras saw a teenager passing a gun to others... A 16-year-old is charged with felony unlawful  use of a weapon as a juvenile. Fights broke out sporadically throughout the evening. Some cops  reported people threw bottles and fireworks at them. Groups of people  jumped on cars in traffic, too. Bystanders captured some of those  incidents on video.

Vice President Kamala Harris's approval rating has sunk 18 net points lower than President Joe Biden's, according to a Trafalgar Group poll. Only 28 percent approve of Harris, while 62 percent disapprove. In contrast, Joe Biden's approval rating is 39 percent with 55 percent disapproving...

The Dow dropped nearly 1,000 points today – the worst day for the Dow since June 2020.

The Biden economy is doing bad and getting worse. Inflation is at an all-time high by some measurements and at 50-year highs by other measurements. With inflation at all-time highs, Biden's economy is a mess. The cost of gasoline has reached all-time highs. Interest rates are up near 7% now, the highest rates in years and still they are way behind inflation. This all happened due to Biden's reckless spending. Stocks finish sharply lower Friday to book weekly losses, as Wall Street focused on a potentially compressed timeline for the Federal Reserve to swiftly raise interest rates in a bid to curtail inflation at 1980s levels.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average shed about 981 points, or 2.8%, ending near 33,811. It marked the worst daily percentage drop for the index since Oct. 28, 2020, according to Dow Jones Market data. The S&P 500 index fell 2.8% and the Nasdaq Composite Index tumbled 2.6%... Cleveland Fed President Loretta Mester said Friday afternoon that she didn't want to "shock" the economy with a 75 basis point interest rate hike at the Fed's next meeting in May...

At least sixteen fires have broken out at food processing plants, impacting the nation's supply of beef and poultry

The fires began showing up regularly in the news after a fire closed a Tyson Foods meat  processing plant in Kansas. The location was a primary beef processing  location for the company and the U.S. supply chain, providing about 6%  of U.S. beef... Just days later, in August of 2021, the Patak Meat Processing facility burned near Atlanta... the family-owned business is beloved in its community locally, and its products are purchased nationwide.

The fire in Georgia barely had a minor impact on the food supply chain nationwide. But, in September, a fire at JBS USA, a meat processing facility in Nebraska, threatened the meat supply for the entire nation profoundly. The plant reportedly processes about 5% of the nation's beef, and closure would directly impact the supply chain.  The trend has continued repeatedly through the end of 2021 and into 2022.

In February, Shearer's Food Processing Plant in Hermiston, Oregon, burned down, leaving two employees injured. On April 13, Taylor Farms Food Processing Plant in Salinas, California, burned and prompted evacuations. On April 19, the Headquarters of Azure Standard Food Processing Plant in Dufur, Oregon, also burned. People are beginning to notice because the fires are threatening an already stressed supply chain of food in the U.S. he trend continues: on March 16, a  massive fire wiped out much of a Walmart fulfillment center in  Plainfield, Indiana. The event was severe enough to warrant the ATF to investigate.

Another incident occurred on April  11, at New Hampshire's East Conway Beef and Pork, when a fire so large  broke out that it took respondents 16 hours to extinguish. At least 16 such disasters have taken place at food processing facilities nationwide. While most of the incidents have shown no foul play after investigation, the trend presents a curious string of events across the country. It remains to be seen what the  direct impact will be. Still, as the nation continues to face soaring  food prices and trouble with supply chain operations, there could be a  significant impact on the cost and availability of food for Americans.

A former Trump administration official suggested that President Joe Biden's recent release of 180 million barrels of oil from emergency stockpiles is unlawful. Biden's action violated the 1975 Energy Policy and Conservation Act which established the Strategic Petroleum Reserve, Mark Robeck — the former deputy general counsel for energy policy at the Department of Energy the Trump administration wrote. The law prohibits the release of emergency SPR stocks unless there is a severe domestic supply shortage, an act of sabotage or natural disaster. On March 31, Biden ordered the DOE to release a million barrels of oil per day for six months, the largest release in U.S. history... The SPR, designed to store 714 million barrels of crude for emergencies, is currently at less than 600 million barrels, its lowest level since 2002, according to the Energy Information Administration. Prior to 2021, the most recent SPR emergency release took place amid the Libyan civil war in 2011 when former President Barack Obama tapped the reserves as Middle Eastern oil supplies dramatically fell.

The ministry said it identified the people as responsible for shaping "the Russophobic agenda" in the US, according to a translation.

I had arrived 30 minutes prior to the scheduled start of the event and had to line up outside, and around the corner of 2 buildings on the block. The line never moved and we were eventually told the venue had reached capacity for the fire code...We completely lost sight of the lineup behind us as it turned multiple corners, and had to ask someone to save our spot to get footage of how far it went. They had to setup speakers outside and from what we could estimate there were at least 300-400 people gathered around outside to hear his speech he was giving ...

There was a recurring theme of freedom and a focus on it being passed down to us over the centuries, evoking Former Prime ministers Diefenbaker and Laurier, famous enlightenment author Thomas Paine and the Magna Carta.

A pickup truck was brought into the middle of the crowd for the purpose of giving him a platform to stand on but they were unable to get power to the microphones in that area. After his speech inside he came outside and spoke to the crowd with a speech on a similar theme of freedom, quoting former Prime minister Diefenbaker once again: I am a Canadian, free to speak without fear, free to worship in my own way, free to stand for what I think right, free to oppose what I believe wrong, or free to choose those who shall govern my country... If the turnout of such a diverse crowd is any indication of where this campaign is going for Pierre Poilievre, he may end up getting quoted alongside his Canadian idols of Diefenbaker and Laurier at someone else's future rally in the decades to come after becoming the next Prime Minister of Canada.

Billionaire tech mogul Elon Musk  said that, if his Twitter takeover attempt is successful, the company's  Board of Directors will go from being paid millions per year to zero.

"Board salary will be $0 if my bid succeeds, so that's ~$3 [million]/year saved right there,"...that was part of a thread that claimed the interests of Twitter's board members are not in line with those of the company's shareholders. Twitter's board members currently receive around $2.9 million in cash and stock awards... that it's "obvious" that if Musk does manage to take  Twitter private, the company's board members "don't have jobs any more." "That could explain a lot," Black wrote, apparently referring to the  efforts of Twitter's board to block Musk's hostile takeover attempt.  After Musk snapped up a nearly 10-percent stake in Twitter, he  offered to buy all remaining stock for around $43 billion in cash.   The board later announced it  was adopting a limited duration shareholder rights plan, a tactic known  as a "poison pill" that would make it financially more painful for the  potential acquirer, effectively signaling its opposition to Musk's bid.

In context of the poison pill move, Musk said  that if Twitter's board acts against shareholder interests, they would  be breaching their fiduciary duty and so would assume legal liability  that would be "titanic in scale." Musk said earlier that his buyout bid was  to transform Twitter in a bastion of free speech by making its  algorithm open source and its moderation policies more transparent...  "In my view, Twitter should match the laws of the country," ... A vast majority of those were caught by the US border guard at the southwestern frontier. She spent years claiming she was an American Indian which likely helped her obtain a lucrative position at Harvard. Later it was discovered that she was no Indian at all.

 After conducting an exhaustive study, the Washington Free Beacon confirmed that major newspapers deliberately bury the race of homicide suspects, unless they're white... The results found that legacy media outlets try to downplay the race of the suspect if he is black, a trend that has worsened since the 2020 Black Lives Matter riots. The Free Beacon collected data on nearly 1,100 articles about homicides from six major papers, all written between 2019 and 2021. Those papersincluded the Chicago Tribune, Los Angeles Times, New York Times, Philadelphia Inquirer, San Francisco Chronicle, and Minneapolis's Star-Tribune–representatives of each paper did not return requests for comment for this article. For each article, we collected the offender's and victim's name and race, and noted where in the article the offender's race was mentioned, if at all. The data suggest an alarming editorial trend in which major papers routinely omit information from news reports, presenting readers with a skewed picture of who does and doesn't commit crime. These editorial choices are part and parcel with the "racial reckoning" that swept newsrooms in the wake of (George) Floyd's murder, which saw journalists dramatically overhauling crime coverage to emphasize the view that the criminal justice system is racist... The study found that half of the reports about homicides committed by white offenders mention the race within the first 15 per cent of the article, while, "Half of the articles that mention a black offender's race do not do so until at least 60 percent of the way through, and more than 20 percent save it until the last fifth of the article." The investigation also found that a white offender's race is mentioned in 1 out of 4 articles, while a black offender's race is only mentioned in 1 in 17 articles.

 After the George Floyd riots, newspapers were seven times more likely to mention a white offender's race than a black offender's race. "A similar study analyzing media coverage from 2013 to 2015 found that the national media only picked up 9 percent of stories where a black police officer shot a black suspect but covered 38 percent of stories where a white police officer shot a black suspect," "Their bias is far worse now." Kim Dotcom now says Wikileaks has all of the data from  the Hunter Biden laptop and will soon be releasing all of it (minus any child porn) to the public.

Kim also claimed, "Hunter installed Spyware on phones of family members and made backups of those messages."  Founder and former CEO of the file-hosting site Megaupload,  Kim Dotcom, is the latest public figure to hint at new data being found  on Hunter Biden's infamous laptop. Creating a stir online Thursday, Kim said he is working with "the  data forensics team that analyzes the Hunter Biden Laptop data," and  that there will be a major release soon. In addition, Kim claimed Hunter Biden will go to jail in relation to  several crimes exposed in the data and that Joe Biden will be forced to  resign. his statement echoes similar claims recently made  by researcher and political activist Jack Maxey, who said he took his  copy of Hunter Biden's laptop to Switzerland where forensics experts  were able to find more data than originally detected. The man who originally reported the Hunter laptop after receiving it  while working at a Delaware computer repair shop, JP Isaac, recently pushed back against Maxey's claim of finding more data... "the original laptop only had a 250 gig drive" and that he was  able to recover 220 gigs of data off of it, concluding there can't be  450 gigs on the device... "the deleted files found are highly compressed (around 130gb) and when uncompressed they turn into 450gb."

"The Hunter Biden laptop data contains evidence of the worst kind of  child abuse," Kim wrote. "One forensic analyst told me that he has to  take frequent breaks because of how disgusting the evidence is. Did the  spies and media that called this 'Russian disinformation' assist a  Pedophile?" Jack Maxey has maintained he will not let his team look at any photos or videos until all the documents have been found and released in a searchable format, at which point they will take the laptop to local Swiss police if any illegal images or videos are seen. So, either Kim is working with someone else, or the Swiss police are  currently going through the video and picture files with Maxey's  forensic analysts.

The Megaupload founder also claimed the story will be "headline news next week," writing, "They cannot contain it or discredit it anymore. Stay tuned for updates."  Proving to the naysayers that he's been accurate about predictions  like this in the past, Kim posted an interview he did before the  Wikileaks DNC and Podesta emails were published where he warned Julian  Assange would be Hillary Clinton's worst nightmare.

The German-Finnish internet guru also noted, "one of the most  concerning parts of the Hunter Biden Laptop is the involvement of the  Biden family in Ukraine bio labs, researching the genetical modification  of deadly viruses to make them more transmissible to humans." In his last post on the subject, Kim noted he has no copy of the  laptop data himself and that he's been in communication with the  forensic team in Switzerland before also adding Tucker Carlson's team  was allegedly filming in Zurich Thursday. A group of Muslim migrants from a local shelter pelted  Christians with rocks and projectiles at an Easter procession in  Granada, Spain during Holy Week. This is not the first time this has happened. On Palm Sunday, a group  of North Africans had tried to attack the Easter procession in El  Vendrell (Tarragona).

A group of unaccompanied minor refugees from the Bermúdez de Castro  hostel in Granada disrupted the Catholic procession in the early hours  of Holy Thursday morning . Total outrage in Granada. The procession had been on the road for  about an hour and a half, and as it went down the Cuesta del Chapiz, a  large number of objects began to rain down on those present. All of  these projectiles came from the migrant shelter mentioned above, as  several sources confirmed... I was informed that objects were thrown at the procession  from the reception centre for underage migrants. They are directed  against our culture and our tradition. I demand action on the part of  the Region of Andalusia". This is the umpteenth attack on a Catholic procession during Holy  Week. It is not the first incident and unfortunately it will not be the  last. Last Sunday, a group of North Africans had tried to attack the  Easter procession in El Vendrell (Tarragona).

China is shifting its global asset portfolio in response to sanctions on Russia and is in the process of stabbing the West in the back.

Having seen the avalanche of economic pain imposed by the West on Russia—from the confiscation of oligarch yachts to the freezing of most of Moscow's S$630 billion  in foreign currency reserves... China's central bank had $3.22 trillion in foreign currency reserves  and $1.12 trillion in gold reserves in January...   It now realizes that much of this, which is in the world's hardest  currencies—the U.S. dollar, euro, Japanese yen, and British pound  sterling—are vulnerable to freezing... By March, China's currency reserves fell to $3.19 trillion, and its gold reserves rose to $1.22 trillion. In other words, China is selling  its Western currencies for gold.

China's likely dumping of Western currencies could be adding to inflationary pressures in the West... U.S. inflation, the  Federal Reserve target for which is 2 percent, is currently at its  highest since the 1980s. In March, euro-zone and British inflation were also high at 7.5 percent. Meanwhile, in China, inflation is relatively moderate at 1.5 percent. Beijing knows that its global asset portfolio, including oil fields  in the West, could be seized if it follows Moscow's example and does  the wrong thing. Rather than protect all these investments by doing the  right thing, the Chinese Communist Party is liquidating its vulnerable Western assets, and rebalancing its portfolio toward countries in which it has more influence, such as in the developing world and among dictatorships.

China and Russia both have large gold reserves.  The US  is left with it's future at stake in US dollars.

China is selling its oil fields in  the United States, Canada, and Britain due to the threat of sanctions. CNOOC, China's leading offshore hydrocarbon producer, seeks to unravel its $15 billion investment in Canada's Nexen, which produces approximately 220,000 barrels per day in the North Sea, Gulf of Mexico, and Canada's oil sands. The  timing of CNOOC's asset sale appears to be linked to a rise in oil and  gas prices that resulted from Russia's invasion of Ukraine, and which  could garner a higher price than it paid. Beijing still seeks to source hydrocarbons internationally and, to  that end, wants to acquire alternatives in places like Brazil, Guyana,  Uganda, and Iraq. A new aversion to Western assets, including currencies and  alternatives like oil fields, could have major ramifications for China's  trade with the West. If China no longer wants what America, Europe, and  Japan have to offer, then Beijing might reorient away from supplying  these regions with manufactured goods, which would accelerate  decoupling.

FOX 32 / Chicago Sun-Times reported that the shooting fatality occurred Sunday morning about 2:20 a.m. "in the 8400 block of South Aberdeen Street." The victim, a 27-year-old man, was standing outside when the shot rang out. He was hit in the leg and transported to a hospital, where he died.

Breitbart News noted 27 people were shot, six of them fatally, last weekend in Lightfoot's Chicago. The Chicago Tribune reported 145 homicides in Chicago January 1, 2022, through April 9, 2022. 2021 was the deadliest year Chicago has witnessed in a quarter of century. The Hill pointed out Chicago police confirmed the city witnessed 797 homicides during the course of 2021.

The Pennsylvania state Senatepassed legislation on Wednesday prohibiting ballot drop boxes and private funds used to manage elections. By a narrow margin of 29-20, the chamber advanced Senate Bill 1200  to eliminate the use of drive-through ballot returns. The revised  election code will "require an elector choosing to return a ballot to a  county board of elections, return it to an employee." However, the employee whom the voter chooses must be "located in the county seat of the county board of elections." Moreover, if a constituent cannot submit the ballot personally, the  board of elections will grant an absentee ticket to an authorized  representative designated by the balloter...

The Senate's decision arrives almost two years after the Pennsylvania Supreme Court ruled in favor of extending the state's 2020 deadline to vote by mail and the utilization of drop boxes.  "Zuckerbucks" are now forbidden  in the Keystone State... Facebook CEO Mark  Zuckerberg contributed millions of dollars across the nation to fund  election operations through CTCL. A report released by Rep. Claudia Tenney, R-N.Y., revealed that the  "vote-generating group," primarily funded by the tech billionaire, gave  90 percent of its dollars to blue counties in swing states. Pennsylvania received over 20 million dollars from the group backed by Zuckerburg.The Pennsylvania House of Representatives will vote on the bills in the coming weeks.

It was such a lovely  idea, the internet. A borderless, refuge for free expression,  beyond the censor's reach; a place of infinite capacity and zero cost,  where anyone who wanted to express themselves could...

Who wouldn't want such a thing? Governments,  that's who. The Trudeau government, in particular, seems to see the  internet not as an opportunity, a chance to stand down the immense  regulatory army that has hitherto stood watch over the Canadian media,  but as a challenge. Three bills were introduced, announced or promised during the last Parliament, all with the aim of regulating the internet... while  the government claims to have made modifications here and there, they  are in every essential respect unchanged. Each on its own would represent a breathtaking regulatory grab, an unprecedented expansion of the state's role as arbiter of what Canadians might see or say online. Taken together, they amount to a vast overreach, at great potential harm  to free expression and a healthy media environment.

Not experts on anything

The  attempt to apply Cancon rules to audio and visual content on the  internet is contained in Bill C-11, the successor to the last  Parliament's Bill C-10. Much of the controversy surrounding that bill  focused on the relatively narrow question of whether it would apply to  user-generated content – that is, to the audio and video clips that  users share on social-media sites. Critics had ample reason to fear  this, after a clause exempting such content was removed in committee. That's the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission, now in its 54th year of regulating everything that moves on Canadian "radio-television," which the bill would assign wide latitude to regulate, well, the internet... but any number of other services, from podcasts to audiobooks to news channels, and not only those based in Canada but anywhere in the world.

Advertisers wanted the  largest possible audience, and the largest audience might not be  interested in certain types of content, including Canadian content. ... The notion, in particular, that Canadians need government  assistance to "discover" Canadian content online is frankly bizarre.  How hard is it to type "Canada" in the search bar? If C-11 is superfluous, unworkable and probably illegal under international trade law, Bill C-18, the Online News Act, is simply bananas.  The platforms don't take our  content. They link to it: a headline, sometimes a short snippet of  text, nothing more. When users click on the links, they are taken to our  sites, where they read our content. Much of the traffic on our sites,  in fact, comes from social-media links...

They don't even pay for their own offenses

So the notion that FaceGoogle should be made to pay us for the valuable service they provide us for free has things exactly backward:  If anything, we should be paying them.... Not only  does it allow the entire industry to bargain collectively, as if it were  a union, but, in the event the two sides cannot come to an agreement,  provides for a settlement to be imposed.  By the CRTC! As if it  were not busy enough regulating the global internet, the CRTC would also  be responsible for nursing the news business back to health. Are we to imagine it would be an impartial arbiter? The  online harms bill, still in development, at least stems from a valid  underlying concern. The harms social media have enabled or made worse,  from disinformation, to invasion of privacy, to child pornography and  beyond, are real and well documented. The legitimate exceptions to  freedom of speech – fraud, libel, incitement to violence etc. – are  already covered under existing law.

Will Trudeau regulate internet child porn? Not likely.

Indeed,  as first drafted, the bill would have gone even further. Not only would  it have made online speech once again subject to complaints to the  Canadian Human Rights Commission – a provision rightly abolished a  decade ago – and not only would it have provided for the deletion of the  offending material from the internet, but it would have allowed  material to be suppressed even before it appeared. As  an accompanying briefing paper explained, anyone who "reasonably fears  they could be a target" of "hate propaganda" could apply to a judge for a  "peace bond" to prevent its publication. Yes, the Attorney-General of  the province in question would have to endorse the request, and yes, the  judge would have to agree, but still: gag orders? Swedish police gang crime expert Gunnar Appelgren has warned Sweden could be in for a "terrible year" as the number of fatal shootings could break new records if current trends continue. On Sunday, Sweden — once a peaceful state of less than ten million souls — saw its 20th fatal shooting this year, and if trends continue the country may be seeing a new record for fatal shootings this year. So far 2022 has seen the most fatal shootings from January to April of any year since the Swedish police began to publish records of shootings in November of 2016. ... Swedish Police Authority spoke to broadcaster SVT regarding the trend for this year saying, "If you look at the start of this year, there are more deaths, but about as many shootings as there were in 2020.

Appelgren noted that many of the killings are related to criminal gang activity and revenge conflicts between gang members. "There are still very violent conflicts and spirals where revenge begets revenge. The very first crime of trying to shoot someone dead creates this spiral of violence," he said.

Recall, radical far-left judge Lina Hidalgo was one of the most aggressive Covid tyrants in Texas during the pandemic. While she was threatening to jail and fine people for violating her Covid rules, she was secretly trying to award one of her political cronies an $11 million 'vaccine outreach' contract. Hidalgo panicked and canceled the $11 million vaccine contract after  questions were raised that it was with a one-person firm with no  experience.  Two of Hidalgo's staffers were indicted this week after Texas Rangers  obtained a new search warrant and requested the Google accounts of Lina  Hidalgo and 6 of her senior staffers. ... Hidalgo whined to ABC13. "My staffers are  hardworking people. They work day and night for the people of Harris  County and we've got work to do, like this catalytic converter issue or  like childhood education, homelessness, huge wins." Ukrainian  officials said that their forces hit the flagship of Russia's Black Sea  fleet with missiles overnight, with one official saying Thursday it  sank. Russia said the Moskva was badly damaged by a fire that forced the  warship's evacuation, but that it was still afloat. The  loss of the ship named for the Russian capital would be a major  military and symbolic defeat for Russia as its troops regroup for a  renewed offensive in Eastern Ukraine after retreating from much of the  north, including Ukraine's capital of Kyiv. The AP could not independently verify that incident... Russia did not  acknowledge any attack on the Moskva but said a fire aboard the warship,  which would typically have 500 sailors on board, forced the entire crew  to evacuate the vessel. It later said the fire had been contained and  that the ship would be towed to port with its guided missile launchers intact.

The ship carries 16 long-range cruise missiles, and its removal from combat would greatly reduce Russia's firepower in the Black Sea. It was not immediately possible to reconcile the vastly different accounts, and cloud cover made it impossible to locate the ship or determine its condition based on satellite photos.There was  also some caution from Ukrainian officials: One official said the ship  sank, and a video from its armed forces described it overturning and  beginning to sink, but another refused to confirm that.Hours after the warship attack was reported, Ukrainian  authorities said on the Telegram messaging service that explosions had  struck Odesa.
