President Joe Biden's immigration agenda is "hollowing out" parts of Central America to satisfy "the egos of the open borders crowd... In an exclusive interview with SiriusXM Patriot's Breitbart News Sunday, Vaughan said Biden's policies of eliminating border controls, gutting interior immigration enforcement, restarting Catch and Release, and stopping construction of a border wall is helping to erode the social and economic fabric of Central America ... "I can't imagine a more immoral or more inhumane policy where we entice people to turn their life savings over to a criminal smuggling organization and take this dangerous journey with children,"... "We are hollowing out these towns and cities and villages in Central America and encouraging people to leave for a life that might not be that much better when they get here. Last week, a Gallup survey found that 42 million foreign nationals south of the southern border want to migrate to the U.S... this is a foreign population larger than the entire resident population of California.

Vaughan said the Biden policies are "satisfying the egos of the open borders crowd," while former President Trump's administration "showed us how to" easily fix issues such as Catch and Release. In his first week in office, Biden eliminated the "Remain in Mexico" program and is now releasing border crossers enrolled in the program into the U.S. interior, as well as thousands of other border crossers, oftentimes without being tested for the Chinese coronavirus... the Biden administration canceled U.S. asylum agreements with Central America and now prevents the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency from arresting and deporting any illegal alien who is not a recently convicted aggravated felon, a terrorist, or a known gang member.... In some places, they were actually kind of storming the ports of entry soon after Biden took office and chanting 'Biden! Biden!'" Since Biden took office, illegal immigration has skyrocketed. A report this week reveals that the Biden administration is expecting tens of thousands of Unaccompanied Alien Children to make their way to the U.S.-Mexico border in upcoming months.

What the hell is going on? A semi-trailer of illegal aliens unloading in Pearsall, Texas, was captured on video and it is going viral.

In the video, what appears to be 100 illegal aliens are being unloaded in the small Texas town 100 miles from the Mexican border. Pearsall had a population of 9,240 up until this semi-trailer was unloaded. The small city prides itself on being safe. This video shows the total disregard for Americans that the Democrats and the Obama/Biden Administration have. Everyone knows it is wrong to allow people to walk into your house or country without knowing who they are or what their purpose is. Video sent to KENS 5 NEWS shows dozens of migrants pouring out of a trailer in Frio County. The Frio County Sheriff's Office told KENS 5 the incident caught on video took place around noon Monday in Pearsall, near the intersection of Oak and Nueces streets.

According to the Pearsall Police Department, a person driving behind the truck saw arms and then someone's head sticking outside of the truck's small door. That witness called police. Authorities said the driver fled along with the migrants and tried to blend in with group once authorities got there, but they were able to identify him as the driver and arrest him. They described the migrants as dehydrated and "soaked in sweat." In total, 65 migrants were apprehended. Authorities did not elaborate on the whereabouts of the migrants. Pearsall PD said they were getting 911 calls from local residents saying they were spotting migrants running through their yards well into the night.

In a letter addressed to President Joe Biden Tuesday, Gov. Greg Abbott demanded answers to what he called a "humanitarian crisis at the southern border." Officials in south Texas also say they're observing an increase in human-smuggling operations at the U.S.-Mexico border, which they say endangers those being transported. Joe Biden told them to come and now they're coming by the truck Load, literally.

The Biden proposal comes in at a reported $4 trillion in spending supported by $3.5 trillion in new taxes the two-pronged package Biden will begin unveiling this week includes higher amounts of federal spending but also significantly more in new tax revenue — with possibly as much as $4 trillion in new spending and more than $3 trillion in tax increases, said the people, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to describe private dynamics.... Beyond blunting the deficit impact, raising taxes also would advance liberals' goal of cutting inequality. ...Despite their narrow margins, administration officials have begun comparing their coming efforts to Franklin Delano Roosevelt's New Deal or Lyndon B. Johnson's Great Society programs. 

The plan will center on proposals to repair the nation's physical infrastructure, such as its bridges, railways, ports, water systems and more, as well as revive domestic manufacturing; invest in research and development; expand clean energy investments, and create a nationwide infrastructure for electric vehicles. This part of the plan also will include major investments in child care and educational facilities, and major investments in caretakers for the elderly and disabled amid the nation's major aging crisis. The second part of the plan ... to expand child care; provide paid family and medical leave; approve an expansion of health care and the Affordable Care Act, and extend a larger child benefit recently approved by Congress, among other measures... Democrats may use the parliamentary procedure known as reconciliation to approve an infrastructure package with a narrow majority that would not require Republican votes, the same way they approved the coronavirus relief bill.

A Border Patrol  section chief reported that in recent days, more than 861 criminals  have been encountered at the border, including 92 sex offenders and 63  gang members.

"Within the copious amounts of groups being encountered in" the Rio  Grande Valley sector in Texas, "a Salvadoran man with a prior conviction  for murder was discovered" along with 862 criminal aliens, Chief Patrol  Agent Brian Hastings wrote on Twitter Saturday. Hastings wrote that recently, agents encountered five large groups of illegal  immigrant families, unaccompanied minors, and some adults—totalling 539.  Embedded in the groups were about 93 unaccompanied children, Hastings said, adding that so far in 2021, more than 18,000 such children have been encountered by agents. President Joe Biden last week said he would not apologize for rolling  back a number of border policies of his Republican predecessor,  President Donald Trump, and brushed off criticism that illegal  immigrants were making the journey because they perceived him to be a  "nice guy."

California foster parents are reportedly being asked how many migrant children they are able to house ... Foster parents Travis and Sharla Kall told the outlet that they also received an email with the same message, in addition to links to options ranging from zero to "26 +" children they could potentially take in. 'Usually the maximum amount of children you are allowed to foster at any one time is six,' said Travis, who currently fosters two four-month-old twins with his wife, while also caring for their biological twins, aged six. 'She said there was a big influx of children coming in, but she didn't know where from,' he added. The couple reached out to a friend who is fostering through a different agency and were told that she had received the same call. The friend also told them her agency confirmed via email that the children were coming from the border.

Sen. Ted Cruz  (R-Texas) said he was told by a Biden administration staffer that he  could not record a video at a Border Patrol facility along the  U.S.-Mexico border... Please respect the people, the rules," the so-called staffer  told Cruz while blocking the camera with her face, according to a video he showed Fox News. "So you work for the commissioner, you're a senior adviser, you were  hired two weeks ago and you're instructed to ask us to not have any  pictures taken here because the political leadership at DHS does not  want the American people to know it," Cruz said  in response to the official. The staffer then told him: "Please don't treat the people as such,"  to which Cruz responded that "your policies are unfortunately trying to  hide them."

Pictures the Biden administration doesn't want the American people to see. This is why they won't allow the press.

"I understand that you were instructed," Cruz said. "I respect them,  andI want to fix this situation, and the administration that you work  for is responsible for these conditions." Cruz and more than a dozen Republican senators went to the border  last week, with many describing overcrowded and severe conditions in  facilities used to hold unaccompanied minors—children who unlawfully  enter the country without an adult.

Despite Texas Republican Party Chairman Allen West previously pledging not to delete the party's Gab account, the State Republican Executive Committee today voted to circumvent West's decision and delete the account. This follows the baseless lie from Texas Governor Greg Abbott that Gab is "anti-Semitic" and, thus, has no place in Texas. During a party meeting today, the SREC "has voted to delete the @TexasGOP Gab account on a 35-25 vote." Ironically, the news was broken by the Texas Republican Initiative, which claims its goal is to grow the "Republican Party by supporting and communicating the successes of Republican leadership for all Texans."The Israeli flag taking a prominent role centered directly behind him.  "Anti-semitic platforms like Gab have no place in Texas, and certainly do not represent Texas values," Abbott said.

The governor then displayed an unnamed piece of legislation created by Republican Texas representatives Phil King and Craig Goldman, which he proudly proclaims to fight "anti-semitism in Texas." The last message posted to the party's Gab account claimed that it would not delete the account and "will always fight censorship." This appears to have been a lie.  "We support the First Amendment, including free speech platforms," the account wrote on March 11. "The TexasGOP has no plan to deplatform from any of our social media accounts. The First Amendment still shines brightly in the Lone Star State." In a statement, Gab CEO Andrew Torba told National File, "The Texas GOP has been successfully subverted by woke liberal women like Cat Parks who falsely claim to be conservative."The GOP needs to remove subversive liberals from its ranks immediately or risk never winning an election ever again. Voters in Texas will not forget this." At the time of publication, the Texas GOP Gab account has not been deleted. It was created in late January of this year, and has amassed over 21,400 followers.

Some are left with no tent and are just  napping in sleeping bags in doorways and beneath overhangs. Like  something akin to Orwellian newspeak propaganda, one such person is  sleeping out front of a happy looking little state run thing called Care  Oregon with the words "That's The Care Oregon Effect" right above him.  Another shot ironically shows the evidently closed Employment Access  Center with many homeless camped out around it.

Then come the city-of-plywood shots, as building after building are boarded up. Some trying to operate in the face of routine riots, others vandalized by robbers, still some broken into by people who just want to  keep warm at night. Several of these buildings and businesses have simply been abandoned... last I checked the virus isn't powerful enough to shatter windows. Can't get a shot of downtown Portland without seeing an obligatory Bernie Mobile. This is the type of person who voted for this, and seems to be okay with this result, and thinks nothing is wrong with current state of things. Mayor Ted Wheeler has so mismanaged the clean up efforts that his happy little bureaus are out of money and he's calling on the general public to volunteer and clean things up. What was once a  bustling metropolis that attracted newcomers from across the country is  left looking more and more like Mogadishu rather than a city in America.  This is your city on crazed leftist policies. Don't let this happen to  your city.

Note that many of these tents look brand new, likely handed out by  the do-gooders of the "non profit" organizations that purport to want to  help the homeless.

Republican South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem signed into law three bills concerning gun ownership and the use of deadly force earlier this week, fortifying Second Amendment protections for gun owners in the state.

The laws include restrictions for gun seizure and fee reductions for concealed-carry permits, as well as clarification for the use of deadly force for self-defense—also known as the "stand your ground" law.  "A person is justified in using or threatening to use deadly force if the person reasonably believes that using or threatening to use deadly force is necessary to prevent imminent death or great bodily harm to himself, herself, or another, or to prevent the imminent commission of a forcible felony," reads House Bill 1212. The state GOP's move to fortify the Second Amendment comes in the wake of recent shootings in Atlanta, Georgia, and Boulder, Colorado, that have prompted fresh calls from gun control activists for more restrictions.

Democrats, who control both the House and the Senate, have moved aggressively to tighten gun control laws, passing two bills in the House pertaining to firearms background checks. In the Senate, the bills would likely have to clear the 60-vote filibuster hurdle. Sen. Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.), perhaps the most centrist Democrat in the Senate, doesn't support the recent background check expansion bills. "Not at all," Manchin told reporters after being asked about whether he supports the reform attempt. "I come from a gun culture and I'm a law-abiding gun owner," Manchin told reporters, stating that he supports background checks on sales of guns to people the seller doesn't know.

The large, influential Zionist pro-LGBTQ advocacy group Human Rights Campaign has demanded that Christian schools must abandon their beliefs or face losing their accreditation.  the group  recently released an educational policy brief for a Biden administration, and the recommendations are alarming. Among the radical suggestions is a call for an end to teachings that are not classed as "science-based curricula." In its "Blueprint for "Blueprint for Postive Change" 2020" the organization describes itself as "a comprehensive list of 85 individual policy recommendations aimed at improving the lives of LGBTQ people." The group presents its plan for "positive change"... However, what Human Rights Campaign fails to mention is just how much these suggestions for former Vice President Joe Biden, if implemented, would infringe on the rights of religious believers, conservatives, and Americans in general... The Human Rights Campaign is  calling to adopt the campaign's positions on gender identity,  same-sex marriage, transgender transitioning, and more, or fail to be  accredited ...

Let's hope that if lawmakers even attempted to follow this policy suggestion, enough faith-based institutions would fight back and it would fail. Still, the effort would be costly, and the attempt to force religious  schools out of the marketplace should never happen, given the authoritative protections of the First Amendment. Policy in this country should reflect core American values of equality and freedom, not an entitlement for select groups. The blueprint suggests that the US Government must "appoint openly-LGBTQ justices, judges, executive officials, and ambassadors." For starters, some judges and executive employees already are openly LGBTQ. This sounds nice, but there's only one problem: It's already illegal to discriminate in the United States based on a person's sexual orientation, so there's no need to pluck out this group and give it special protections. These policy suggestions are ignorant, shortsighted, and just plain false. By suggesting LGBTQ individuals need extra care, they undermine cases  such as Bostock v. Clayton County that already made it illegal to  discriminate on the basis of gender identity.  LGBTQ individuals  remain marginalized and disenfranchised. Few groups have pushed—and received—more recognition for equality, and then some, than the LGBTQ community.

The Government Accountability Office (GAO) confirmed reports it is investigating President Joe Biden's move in January to freeze construction of the border wall along the U.S.-Mexico border

Former President Donald Trump, who made border wall construction a  key 2016 campaign promise, started building the wall amid legal battles and fights with Congress. On his first day in office, Biden used his executive authority to stop building the wall even after Congress approved $1.4 billion for the measure as part of a $900 billion stimulus package bill to offset losses incurred by the COVID-19 pandemic in December. Politico first reported that GAO would now launch an inquiry into  whether the Biden administration had violated any laws by freezing  construction, which would contravene the Constitution's law that allows  Congress alone to allocate funds. A spokesperson for the watchdog agency confirmed the report ... "Yes, we received a congressional request  for a legal opinion on the matter and we have accepted that request." Some senators, who spoke to Politico, noted that Biden was a member of the Senate for decades and should know the rules. "He was in the Congress a long time," Sen. Roy Blunt (R-Mo.) told the political news website. "The president suspended construction on his first day in office, on  Jan. 20, and also rescinded several other Trump-era immigration rules.  Biden termed the border wall wasteful spending. "Like every nation, the United States has a right and a duty to  secure its borders and protect its people against threats...

Meanwhile, more than 60 Republican House lawmakers and four GOP senators wrote to GAO on Tuesday. "We are writing to be added as co-requesters of a March 17, 2021 letter, signed by 40 United States Senators, requesting the Government Accountability Office's legal opinion on the actions of the Biden Administration to suspend border wall construction and to order a freeze of funds provided by Congress for that purpose, which we believe violated the Impoundment Control Act,"... Trump, in a rare interview this week with Fox News, said Biden is  actively working to "destroy" the United States with his orders. ... "We want people to come in, but  they have to be able to help our country. They have to come in through  merit and they have to come in legally," the former commander-in-chief  remarked.

A mountainous, 2,600-square-mile region with a population of approximately 119,600 does not seem like your prototypical setting for machine politics.

Yet a recent audit of mail-in ballots cast there found irregularities on a level that could have easily swung local elections in 2020, and statewide elections in cycles past. The story at hand begins during the pandemic summer of 2020, when the then-governor, Democrat Steve Bullock, issued a directive permitting counties to conduct the general election fully by mail. In the run-up to the election, a court also struck down Montana's law aimed at preventing ballot harvesting. Missoula, Montana's second most populous county and one of its most heavily Democratic, opted in to the universal vote-by-mail regime. In response, in October 2020, several county residents with experience targeting election integrity issues formed a group to ensure the legitimacy of the 2020 vote. The members contended that Missoula County had shown anomalies in elections past.

In November, the group approached state Rep. Brad Tschida, a Republican, to formally take up the issue. The audit consisted of both a count and review of all ballot envelopes and comparing that to the number of officially recorded votes during the Nov. 3, 2020, general election. Its conclusions were troubling: 4,592 out of the 72,491 mail-in ballots lacked envelopes— 6.33% of all votes. Without an officially printed envelope with registration information, a voter's signature, and a postmark indicating whether it was cast on time, election officials cannot verify that a ballot is legitimate. It is against the law to count such votes. What's more, according to auditors, county employees claimed that during the post-election audit, some of the envelopes may have been double-counted, possibly indicating an even higher number of missing envelopes. Of these, 55 lacked postmark dates, and 53 never had their signatures checked — for a total of 0.7% of all ballots in the sample. Dozens of ballot envelopes bore strikingly similar, distinctive handwriting styles in the signatures, suggesting that one or several persons may have filled out and submitted multiple ballots ...

One auditor asserted that of 28 envelopes reviewed from the same address, a nursing home, all 28 signatures looked "exactly the same" stylistically. Another auditor reported that among the envelopes she reviewed, two very unique signatures appeared dozens of times ... Auditors were unable to conduct a more comprehensive count because, they say, Missoula County elections officials refused to permit them to take pictures of the signatures ... The county elections office did not provide access to video footage it claimed to have recorded of vote-counting activities. Finally, Seaman explained the 4,592 ballots without envelopes found in the audit as a discrepancy due to the lack of a "double-check process."... The magnitude of defective — and potentially fraudulently cast — ballots identified during the Missoula County ballot audit is particularly troubling given the small margins by which local 2020 elections were decided, and previous statewide elections have been decided. The 2020 local House District 94 race was determined by 435 votes; that of local House District 96, a mere 190. The Missoula audit appeared unprecedented in auditing all ballot envelopes. What comes next for Missoula County, given the discrepancies identified? State authorities say they are concerned about the findings, and may well take them up in a joint hearing of the Montana Senate and House judiciary committees.

Harvard University experts will test the system by sending a large balloon 12 miles above the Swedish town of Kiruna and have it drop 2kg of chalk dust into the stratosphere. The aim of the estimated $3 million mission, backed by billionaire Bill Gates, is to have the chalk deflect a portion of the sun's radiation, stop it from hitting the surface, and cool the planet. And experts have warned that the unusual technique could be disastrous for weather systems in ways nobody can predict. Backed by a range of private donors including Gates, the test mission is launching from Sweden as they could offer a launch by the end of this summer. The test balloon will lift 600kg of scientific equipment 12 miles above the surface of the Arctic town and if it all goes well, about 2kg of dust will be released. Dr. Ronny Jackson, a former physician to presidents, is questioning  Joe Biden's health after he slipped twice while boarding Air Force One. "I served as White House physician under THREE Presidents," he wrote  in a tweet. "I've seen what it takes physically AND mentally to do the  job. I can tell you right now that the way Biden is hiding from the  public is a MAJOR red flag. Something's not right!" What Jackson, a member of Congress from Texas, is saying is serious. We were humiliated last week in Alaska, on our soil, when Biden  administration diplomats met with a top Chinese delegation. There was no  one in leadership available to size up the situation and send them home  packing with a firm rebuke from the commander in chief. Events are spiraling out of control. No one can pretend they don't see it.

The president has cognitive shortcomings. Have we seen another  president who is confused about who actually commands the post? Is it  Biden or Vice President Kamala Harris, whom he has referred to several  times as "President Harris."  There was no comparison to President Donald J. Trump's shaky walk as he descended  a ramp at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point. That incident led to  conjecture by the press about Trump being ill and suffering from  Parkinson's disease. More than likely, the ramp was just slippery. At the time, Biden made fun of President Trump walking gingerly down the ramp. "Watch how I run up ramps and he stumbles down ramps..." Biden said last September. One the other hand, there was nothing funny about Joe Biden's fall "up" the steps to Air Force One. It's time to stop pretending that everything is all right with Joe Biden. He's 78 now – older than any other president. Who kept Biden  stashed away, in hiding, for weeks at time – every word uttered put in  his mouth through a teleprompter. 

Jackson, who said in February 2020 that Biden "might need" to endure cognitive testing, was the White House physician from 2013-2018 under both President Obama and President Trump. Worst of all, Biden is surrounded by crises right now, crises of his  own making. The biggest one is at the border, where the president has  been told he has no obligation to follow the law of the land. Half the country doesn't think Harris is up to the job, that she is unprepared, is unstable herself and way too radical by nature. That's  what the Democrats were obviously counting upon. Never before has America been less prepared for a national emergency.  In fact, this is a national emergency – or a national calamity.

As Americans start to receive the latest round of stimulus checks, a  new analysis reveals that about $4.38 billion will also go to illegal  immigrants.

The Center for Immigration Studies estimates that 2.65 million illegal immigrants have Social Security numbers that allow them to receive stimulus checks. This group of illegal immigrants can be described as "aliens temporarily present without status," according to Steven Camarota, director of research for the Center for Immigration Studies. "These individuals are in the country illegally and could be required  to leave. Yet, under the current system, they are still given work  authorization and Social Security numbers," They include Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals and Temporary  Protected Status recipients. In addition, U.S. Citizenship and  Immigration Services issued 882,000 work authorizations and Social  Security numbers to other illegal immigrants in fiscal year 2020, the  analysis states. These include asylum applicants, as well as those  applying for adjustment of status and suspension of deportation, among  other categories.

Not included in the numbers are the 1.8 million illegal immigrants that the Social Security Administration has estimated use Social Security numbers that don't match their names, according to Camarota.  Another 600,000 have Social Security numbers from when they were legally  in the country but overstayed their visa. "There is simply no question that millions of illegal immigrants will  receive billions of dollars in COVID relief checks," Camarota said.  "This highlights an even more disturbing fact—illegal immigrants are  being issued Social Security numbers in large numbers. This is a clear  indication that America is simply not serious about enforcing its  immigration laws." The problem with the undercooked food began in early February but the meals were so bad they prompted a staff sergeant to contact the Detroit news station in early March. It was recently reported that the Biden Administration has let a six-month contract worth $86 million to a Texas non-profit to house up to 1,200 migrant families at hotels in border communities in Texas and Arizona. A protest against police brutality in Liege, Belgium has spiraled into clashes and looting, after an initially peaceful demonstration was hijacked by around 200 hooligans who went on to wreck the city center

 

Demonstrators took to the streets of the eastern Belgian city on Saturday to protest the arrest of a black woman by police earlier this week. The march was peaceful until a group of rowdy youth joined in, and then spread through the city center, wreaking havoc. "We are dealing with two hundred young people, 'casseurs', who move very quickly, in groups, and loot stores," ... Vandals smashed store windows and "ransacked a whole McDonald's" in their assault on city businesses. The video that triggered Saturday's protest and sparked accusations of racism against the Liege police, shows officers pinning a woman of Congolese descent to the ground. The woman claimed that an officer beat her with a baton and almost choked her after she refused to get to the ground and set out to leave following an ID check. The woman, identified by local media as Tania, said that she approached the officers herself after she saw them surrounding a woman, who apparently felt unwell. Being a caregiver, she said she wanted to help the woman until the ambulance arrived. However, her interaction with the police quickly took a turn for the worse.

Police defended the officers' conduct, claiming that the woman, who is now being accused of "rebellion," went berserk and bit one of the officers, which led to the incident. Police described the use of force as "a clean, justified intervention," insisting that "police have nothing to be ashamed of." The incident has drawn comparisons with the death of American man George Floyd in police custody, which triggered a wave of protests in the US last year. The protests were often marred by violence, spiraling into looting and vandalism.

Brewing in the party or in the nation? Who cares about a defunct party?  - 'Comments'

From several meetings and events I have been to lately,  including CPAC, as well as reports from others across the country that I  have heard, a revolution is brewing in the Republican Party. It couldn't be more necessary. The leadership is having trouble keeping up with a  rank-and-file who are increasingly distressed, even appalled, by the  rapid changes in our country being instigated by the new administration  and its phony claims of collegiality. With notable exceptions, much of the GOP  leadership, elected officials and party officials, have been relatively  passive, treating the situation as if it were just another changing of  the guard, business as usual ...  The United States is being rendered unrecognizable. Every day we see new evidence of that in all sectors of our society. These revolutionaries are not, in my observation,  particularly alt-right (if that term is any more than a media construct)  or extremists of any sort.

Nor is this revolution any longer about Donald Trump... Trump certainly awakened the rank-and-file and continues to play a part, a large part, but his courage has inspired others and has spread, not, however, to party leadership who seem and act bewildered.  This rebellion is occurring, not entirely surprisingly,  in red states where conservatives and libertarians are watching an  assault on their home territories as the Democratic Party has them in  their cross hairs, determined to turn their states blue. They already  have done so in many of their cities from Atlanta to Memphis.  At a recent Republican meeting in a red state, a  longtime state senator condescendingly blew off a question about why  their Republican-dominated legislature was not following the lead of  other states in restricting Big Tech and was thoroughly booed by those  in attendance. If this doesn't change, it's almost certain the coming  primary seasons will be a bloodletting almost never before seen in the  Republican Party. Federal prosecutors in North Carolina said Friday that 24 additional people have been charged in an ongoing probe into voter fraud, including two who are accused of illegally voting in the 2016 presidential election. Gabriela Guzman-Miguel, 26, and Jose Abraham Navarro, 42, both of Mexico, are accused of having voted despite lacking the legal status to do so, the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of North Carolina said in a list of defendants obtained by The Epoch Times. The list described both as aliens. A slew of other defendants were charged with falsely claiming U.S. citizenship in order to register to vote. Some also engaged in naturalization fraud and misuse of visas, permits, and other documents relating to voter registration ... Defendants hailed from 15 countries, including Honduras, Iraq, and Canada. The charges date back to the fall of 2019, though the cases were just unsealed.

Those charged face jail time and fines of up to $350,000 if convicted. Each defendant was charged separately and there are no charges of conspiracy, the prosecutor's office said. Robert Higdon, who headed the office until recently, had aggressively pursued illegal voting cases, subpoenaing records from the state board of elections, and 44 county boards in 2018. It advised North Carolina Attorney General Josh Stein, a Democrat, to quash the subpoenas. Stein eventually directed the board to acquire records associated with approximately 789 people who had registered to vote—far less than Higdon, a Trump appointee, had sought.

Higdon in 2018 announced charges against 19 foreign nationals for voting in the 2016 election and last year another U.S. attorney in the state unveiled voter fraud charges against 19 others. "The right to vote is a precious privilege available only to citizens of the United States. When a non-citizen votes in a federal election it serves to dilute and devalue the vote of American citizens ... An audit by the state board of elections after the 2016 election found 41 individuals had acknowledged voting despite not being U.S. citizens. Sixty-one others who may have voted illegally did not respond while another 34, identified in the audit, provided proof of citizenship. Read more ...
