Tasmanian Independent Senator Jacqui Lambie has revealed during the debut of Channel 9's talk show The Verdict that she has received "credible" death threats – including a warning to shut her mouth or face beheading.


In March the former Palmer United Party member publicly announced she had been the subject of threats, presumably as a result of her comments about Islam and her criticism of Sharia Law.

Tonight, in a chat with The Verdict's host Karl Stefanovic, she details the threats, revealing the full extent of a shocking letter sent to her office.

"It was a credible threat," Ms Lambie tells Stefanovic, in the sneak peek clip released ahead of tonight's airing.

She reveals the letter contained graphic photos, including one depicting a beheading, and threats to come to her office and "take her by surprise" if she didn't stop voicing her opinion on Islam.

Australian Federal Police and local police were made aware of the threat earlier this year and investigated. Ms Lambie was warned to avoid South Australia – believed to be where the letter originated – and take extra precautions.

But as the fiery Tasmanian tells Stefanovic tonight, she refused to back down.

"I will not tolerate this kind of behaviour," she said.

"I'm proud of being born and bred Australian and a born and bred Tasmanian – if I let them scare me, it would be letting them take control of me."

FORMER AFL star Jason Roe was chastised before being given an 18-month suspended prison sentence in the NT Supreme Court. 
 
Roe, 31, faced a maximum 14 years behind bars when he pleaded guilty to one count of supplying a total 756g of cannabis — a commercial quantity — to another person.

Justice Stephen Southwood told the former Brisbane Lions player, who also mentored young indigenous sportsmen and was involved in the Territory's Clontarf education program, that his "conduct was far more serious than a stupid mistake".

"For most Aboriginal people in the NT football means hope and pride, it's a powerful social agent that provides a vehicle for achievement for many disadvantaged young men," he said.

"Most modern footballers are not role models — they are professional sportsmen who are well paid.


"By choosing to hold yourself up as a role model and failing to live up to that standard by (committing a drug offence) you have let a lot of people down."

Roe has been banned from leaving the NT, taking drugs and drinking alcohol for a year, and must not commit another offence in he next 18 months or face actual prison time.


Lately there has been an NRL and AFL grandfinal and both captains of winning sides have been Abos.They just couldn't help themselves by stating that both "men of the match were Aboriginal".

The Left love this sort of coverage  for Abos because it seems like footy is the only thing these Abos can possibly succeed at. TWO teenage brothers allegedly armed schoolboy terrorist Farhad Jabar with a handgun at Parramatta mosque on Friday before the 15-year-old shot a police worker in a cold-blooded execution outside the suburb's police headquarters.


Police believe the older-style weapon — a silver .38 Smith and Wesson, which would have cost anywhere upwards of $700 on the black market — was supplied by one of Sydney's most notorious Middle Eastern crime clans but they would not have known — nor cared — what it would be used for.

"They wouldn't give a f ... what the gun was used for," a senior police source told The Daily Telegraph.
The revelation comes amid reports last night police had obtained CCTV footage from the mosque showing Jabar meeting several men in the lead-up to the brutal streetside slaying.

The head of the state's counterterrorism command, NSW Deputy Commissioner Catherine Burn, said inquiries confirmed a number of men arrested in sweeping anti-terrorism raids across Sydney yesterday had attended the mosque on the day of the fatal shooting.

AFTER two counter-terrorism raids in the same Sydney street in just 12 months, Guildford resident Bruce Crook doesn't "feel safe" anymore. 
 
THE usually calm Bursill Street was thrust back into the spotlight following pre-dawn raids on Wednesday.
Across the road from the raided house, the home of Omarjan Azari who was allegedly directed to behead a random member of the public last year, is the Guildford Bowling Club.
The quiet venue is frequented by elderly patrons and pokies players - a stark contrast to the heavy police presence on Wednesday.
"You don't feel safe," said Mr Crook, a member of the club who lives nearby.

"What are they being taught? What's getting into their brains?"
The Guildford raid was part of a series of police operations across five locations in western Sydney in relation to the fatal shooting of a police accountant outside Parramatta Police Headquarters by a teen gunman last Friday.

"What made a 15-year-old - he hadn't even started his life - do that so dramatically? Who put the gun in his hand?" Mr Crook said.
"They're all just sitting back and letting everything happen.

"How did that happen? Wasn't that kid talking to someone?"
In Marsfield, residents were also shocked and confused.
