Five males aged 16 to 21 have been arrested and charged over a savage alleged home invasion in Melbourne where a 60-year-old man was allegedly shot, stabbed and repeatedly bashed with a hammer.

Victoria Police released footage of two of the males being arrested, both of African appearance, and another 17-year-old was arrested in Bundaberg, Queensland, at 7am on Wednesday, and is also expected to be charged after being extradited to Victoria tomorrow
