Why though is Putin so hated by the Zionist/Jewish west?

Is that in any question?  I can go into that if anyone is puzzled as to why I would say so.

I suspect that it could be that Putin is a genuine rival to them, while not implying that he is a White racially loyal leader.  Putin is not with them, unless it is all some kind of charade and they want him to pay a role as rival to their plans.  If so, why that charade?

Putin is probably very corrupt and will not tolerated rivals and threats to his power - be that from Jews or from various racially loyal Whites.

The alternative to him being in power would be a full-on puppet of the Jewish power which is what the main forces against him want to replace him with.  This makes Putin a block against a much more devastating and dangerous scenario and a block against the "one world order".

So can we call him a "lesser of evils" and be relieved that he is there for that reason?  What do you all think to that idea?

Yes there are parallels with the Matrix as you say John.

It is funny to think about how religions other than Creativity are all about gaining comfort from escaping reality like a drug.  If you offered a Creator drugs we would say that we don't want to take something that interferes with our grasp on reality.  However if you offered most people a pill that would take away all their delusions and give them a stiff dose of reality they would gasp in horror and say that they couldn't take that as it would blow their mind so much they may never recover!

Ayn Rand is a poisonous Jewess.  She was best friends with Alan Greenspan, previous head of the US Federal Reserve.  Her philosophy is all about justifying psychopathic capitalism.  Her book "Atlas Shrugged" is the 2nd best selling book in the US after the Christian Bible.  Her ideas have come to epitomise the "right wing" and serve as the very best proof that we racial socialists are emphatically NOT "right wing" and do not share the values of the Ayn Randians.
