Joe Esposito, our longest-serving Creator and a man of unwavering conviction, is currently being held in a Texas jail under extremely harsh circumstances. After 32 years behind bars, Joe was out for only two days before becoming the clear victim of a violent crime, leaving him physically injured and in a wheelchair. Now, Joe faces charges and a bail amount set at $3,000.

Important Message Regarding Joe's Situation and Contact

To everyone wishing to help or contact Joe:

Joe cannot use the kiosk system on his own. He needs assistance with even simple tasks like making a phone call. As a result, all contact with Joe currently goes through us — primarily via his phone calls to me (@Br.DustinFletcher's wife in California).

 - Physical mail is not delivered to him directly. All letters are scanned by the system. Since he cannot use the kiosk computer, he doesn't see these digital scans.

 - Joe cannot independently order commissary. Being unable to use the kiosk and now confined to a wheelchair makes this especially difficult. Fortunately, in Texas, I am able to order his commissary items online for him after he tells me what he wants during our phone conversations.

 - Currently, his only way to communicate is by phone calls to me. He has also needed staff assistance to send his funds to us so we can purchase items from the canteen on his behalf.

 - Recently, Joe called to tell me he was being kept in a cell that was leaking raw sewage. Because he is in a wheelchair, he couldn't access the shower (there is a step up). I contacted the jail, and after our conversation, Joe was moved to the medical unit, where he now has better accessibility to shower and more assistance.

Please keep in mind: For now, the only effective way to support or contact Joe is through his phone calls to me. If you wish to help or send supplies, coordinate through us to make sure your support actually reaches him.
