I wonder if deception is an official part of the Journalism curriculum?
While 'Women arrested after yelling a racial slur' is chronologically accurate, it implies a connection that does not exist. The woman was arrested for making threats and intimidation. It intentionally gives the false impression that making a racial slur is something for which one can be arrested. Which is not the case in the USA. Though the protection of Free Speech is rare today.

Big Brother Australia returned this week with a brand new format which includes an elimination every episode.
The new format involves challenges between housemates, with the winning housemate able to choose three people to nominate for elimination, before the other housemates vote on who goes. Think Survivor but with people stuck in a big house instead of on an island, and who don't seem to play the game with that much obvious strategy

However, if you've been watching Big Brother this week, you would've noticed that the three people evicted this week – Laura, Allan, and SooBong – have all been people of colour and fans of the show are rightfully calling this out.
While Laura and SooBong were challenge threats and Allan's social game worked against him, there's something to be said for the implicit bias we're seeing unfold on our screens as the housemates decide who to evict

The eliminated contestants have since said it was a coincidence in an interview with Huffington Post Australia.
"It was coincidence, it was a bit of bad luck and it just happened that Laura is of that ethnicity and that she is a strong person athletically," Allan said. "Then you've got me who is the brains behind the operation that plays a great social game, and then you've got Soobong who everyone thought was a threat because he's quite an interesting character."
Laura did point out in the interview that there had been an "us vs. them" mentality. "Inside the house, obviously Angela and Allan were the only two people I thought I could relate to," she said. "There's this kind of unspoken language where we will immediately band and respect each other knowing when you're in the presence of a lot of white people

So all the whites voted the muds / Chinky insect types off for their own valid reasons ... but it looks racist now the multicultural interlopers they put in for diversity's sake are being voted off by whites.

The problem might be that none of them have ever experienced real racist bias. They need a frame of reference by which to judge what racism is.

Racism exists between all races. You could argue even between different European ethnicities there is Racism.
For example Irish hating Brits. Or Northern Europeans hating the Mediterranean ones.

These days though it seems only white people get referred to as "Racist" when non whites want their own way from whites.

In Malaysia they have rules stating certain races can't be in Enclaves and a set number of University places are just for Malays.
In Australia there are areas non Indigenous need permits to be in because it's land been given to Abos through native title.
You can be expelled if somebody dislikes you for what ever reason and informs the traditional owner. No Union or Lawyer would dare tackle it!
That is racist behaviour but the MSM won't say that.
Israel segregates Arabs but they aren't racists for it .
It is a push against whites as far as I can see.

THE CEO of the council at the centre of the Nazi flag controversy earlier in the year has said a "clear piece of legislation would have made it a heck of a lot easier" in ensuring its removal.

When the swastika-emblazoned flag was raised in the backyard of a home in the north-west Victorian town of Beulah in January, it attracted the ire of many, thrusting the small community into the spotlight of national media. Offering testimony at a public hearing of the Inquiry into Anti-Vilification Protections last week, Yarriambiack Shire Council CEO Jessie Holmes said the act was not in line with the community's values and locals were appalled

But in the absence of legislation that bans the public display of the swastika or Nazi symbols, the council were forced to look for loopholes in other acts to administer its removal – to no avail.

"If we had a law, we obviously would have exercised it," said Holmes.

Eventually, it was the skilled negotiation of Beulah's police officer that convinced the property owners to remove the flag.

It was a fortunate outcome given the council's entire annual legal budget is $12,000, and the estimated legal costs associated with running the case would reach around $20,000, shared Holmes.

When asked by committee member Caulfield MP David Southwick if a simple mechanism banning the public display of Nazi symbols would have been beneficial, council director of community development and wellbeing Gavin Blinman said, "That would be black and white for us."

Holmes continued, "I think everyone agrees there needs to be a mechanism.

"Everybody agreed, with that particular flag, you should be able to just go in and deal with it. Never once was [there a] conversation around [its removal] impinging on people's political or religious rights.

"Everybody was [saying], we all know what that flag is, and what it stands for.

"It had to come down."

Since the Beulah incident, Nazi flags have also been publicly displayed in Wagga Wagga and Kyabram
