That's how I'm rebuilding mine. Not a rigid, I'm going poor and cheap. Flat black with HD Sporty struts. Tank will be a Frisco Sporty - that means the cap on the right and a higher, narrower tank than the stock HD. Rear guards are bobbed. Seat will will be solo with or without springs. If I can get both, why not? Bars, wide as FüCK! I like cow horns but let's have variable length cables in case of different bars. The higher the bars, the less back pain.

If this goes well, I'll get a Yamaha 650 or Honda 750 and a rigid frame; and I'll begin again, but work for perfection.

Mine - a Honda Rebel. I'm getting closer to dedicating time and money on it. Still working on my car and home security fencing at the moment.

I just dumped the engine in the frame (which freed up some space in my shed) and threw a Creator patch on the tank to see how it looked. Same with painting the handlebars black. Now that I see the black handlebars, that's definitely what I'll be going for. Also black forks with gators, black wheels and black motor.

No change really. Just a cheap rattle can of paint and a few more parts bolted on to test the styling to make sure it's what I like ...
