A "FURIOUS" masturbator who exposed himself in front of a nurse at Royal Darwin Hospital has been jailed for a month.

The Darwin Local Court heard Ross Yulidjirri was picked up drinking on the Esplanade on July 20, having been issued an Alcohol Protection Order on Christmas Day last year.

Prosecutor Daniel Warner Collins said Ylulidjirri was so drunk he needed to be helped into the paddy wagon, and was taken to hospital to sober up.

"He removed his penis from his pants and began masturbating furiously (at the nurse). She expressed her disgust at this and he began urinating on the floor," he said.

Yulidjirri blew 0.295 — nearly six times the legal limit for driving — several hours after he had stopped drinking.

The court heard Yulidjirri has 25 prior convictions for breaching alcohol protection orders. Defence lawyer Beth Morrisroe said Yulidjirri had no memory of the incident, and was ashamed of his actions.

Nogs Crash Stolen Vehicle and Run

NT Police are searching for a group of youths who crashed a stolen vehicle in Karama on Sunday morning.

The group, described as consisting of both males and females and being of indigenous appearance, were seen leaving the scene of the crash at the intersection of McMillans Road and Moray Street.

NT Police Watch Commander Brendan Lindner said information provided by witnesses indicated one youth was injured in the crash.

A TERRITORY boy Boong, slime, spawn who tried to run over a cop and instigated the gang robbery that saw a young man bashed unconscious in a hospital carpark has been told his age could not excuse the "disturbing" crimes.

The NT Supreme Court heard Dylan Voller, 16, was drunk and high on the drug "ice" when he and two co-offenders went on a 24-hour crime spree, attacking two men and a police officer.

Justice Peter Barr said the young man had been found guilty of more than 50 offences, including violence, in the past five years.

"The community condemns unprovoked group violence against innocent victims," he told Voller.

"You have not responded to the leniency given by the court (in the past)."

A youth justice advocacy project worker reported that Voller had anger issues and a propensity to spit.

He faced life in prison when he admitted attempted robbery, aggravated robbery and recklessly endangering serious harm in Alice Springs.

Voller and two co-accused tried to rob a man as he walked to work on Todd St, early on February 7.

Voller ran bare-chested at the victim yelling: "You fat white racist dog – you yelled at us".

The gang demanded the man's wallet and knocked him to the pavement where they kicked him in the ribs. Good Samaritans came to his aid.



About 1am the next day, the trio ambushed 17-year-old Luke McIntyre, who was tending his sick dad at Alice Springs Hospital when he went to buy cigarettes from a nearby store.

Voller struck him with a mop handle, punched him in the face and stole his wallet. His cronies bashed the victim unconscious.

Two nurses found and treated McIntyre after the gang fled in a Holden Commodore.

Voller was behind the wheel and tried to run down a "terrified" Constable Gerard Reardon as he ordered them to stop on Gregory Tce.

The trio was later arrested.

Justice Barr imposed a head sentence of three years and eight months.

Voller will serve 20 months without parole, backdated to his remand.


Dylan Voller is the clown that was involved in some of the trouble at the NT corrections facility currently in the spotlight. Pricks like him deserve to be gassed!

Illegitimate Coon Crooks Arrested - More on the Run

TWO teens illegitimate coon crooks have been arrested and another two remain on the run from police after they allegedly ramraided several Darwin businesses.

The two boys, both 13, were arrested at a Tiwi property yesterday after breaking into 10 businesses and stealing fuel during the crime spree.

The car used in the ram-raids was stolen and police believe the driver was involved in the thefts which included the PINT Club at Marrara and the Wagaman Supermarket.

The stolen car was last seen driving away from a Palmerston petrol station.

PINT Club assistant manager Jenny Burford said the gang rammed the pub's glass doors at around 4am.

She said the club's CCTV showed two men left the car and forced their way into the premises.

Ms Burford said the thieves caused upwards of $15,000 of damage but only left with $30 cash and a handful of UDL cans. She said they dropped a bottle of Chivas Regal on the way out.

"We're only a small club. It's hurt us big time," she said.

"We are insured but how long does it take to get the insurance.

"We are already struggling. We don't need this on top."



Wagaman Supermarket owner Nathan Lim said the thieves caused nearly $2000 trying to ram through a door at the rear of his supermarket.

He said the thieves failed to get into his shop but the damage bill was another unwanted expense. "It's frustrating for me because business is down, it's down about 40 per cent," he said. "When you get things like this happen it costs a few thousand dollars.

"We have to pay the excess and they (the insurance companies) just don't say yes. You have to show them proof."

Strike Force Trident Detective Senior Sergeant Rob Jordan said all 10 break-ins were believed to be carried out by the same group of teens.

"It seems, like in the previous crime sprees, they are after cash and the money they are getting is very small amounts. In comparison to the damage they are causing it's very disproportionate," he said.

"The stolen car is a Nissan Ultima, brown in colour. It's got to be some where around the Darwin area, in particular the northern suburbs."

Nig-Nogs Sued after Prison Chimpout

THE Territory Government is counter-suing two Don Dale Nigger boys for more than $160,000 over alleged vandalism at the Don Dale detention centre.

Court documents released by Supreme Court Master Vince Luppino show the government is suing over two separate incidents, which they say did $89,000 and $74,000 worth of damage, respectively.

One incident deals with a highly publicised escape and "recapture" from the centre, in which two boys, whose names were released at the time but are now suppressed, broke back into the centre by driving through the centre's roller doors.

The inner and outer roller door were damaged beyond repair, the government claims.

The other, earlier incident related to the two boys' escape from the centre in which the government alleges extensive damage to walls, security cameras and doors.

The counterclaim is in response to unspecified damages the two boys — as well as four others — are seeking over alleged mistreatment.

The NT News understands that the counterclaim would have required the explicit approval of sacked Corrections Minister John Elferink, in his role as Attorney General.

Boong feud results in death on beach esplanade in road daylight.

A WOMAN was struck in the head and left to die on the Nightcliff foreshore in broad daylight.

The woman, 34, was found unconscious in parkland at the intersection of Casaurina Dr and Aralia St at 6pm on Thursday night.

Police believe the woman and her attacker were part of a larger group but had become separated when he allegedly struck her. She was found unconscious and in cardiac arrest by three women. The trio waved down a man and women, believed to be a nurse, who performed CPR on the victim for up to seven minutes before St John paramedics arrived.

Despite their attempts to save her life, the woman died a few hours later in Royal Darwin Hospital.

The alleged suspect left the foreshore area. The suspect was involved in a second disturbance with at least one Aboriginal male a short time after the initial incident.

The man, 37, was arrested later on Thursday night but was yet to be charged by police.

Yesterday, sections of the foreshore were cordoned off as forensic officers scoured the scene for evidence.

Major Crime Squad Detective Senior Sergeant Lee Morgan said a cause of death was yet to be determined.

He said the attacker was known to the victim but it is not believed the pair were in a long-term relationship.


"There was no obvious signs on the exterior of the head. We are aware from information from the hospital there was a head injury suffered," he said. "Given the time of day that it occurred, we'd expect there would be a number of people in this area that saw what happened.

"In particular, we are seeking the assistance of a young male and female, both caucasian and aged in their 20s."

A resident who overlooks the park told the NT News she heard screaming and yelling in the hours leading up to the attack.

Another resident heard foul language being screamed in the park before the attack.
