THEY'RE the far right wing parties hoping for a Trump-style revolution in Australia at the federal election.

From a party calling for an end to the "Islamisation of Australia" to another whose leader has a criminal past — how much do Australians know about these parties?

After being deposed as prime minister last year, Tony Abbott warned that a splinter right-wing movement could damage the Coalition.

"The last thing we need is another conservative party, particularly a rogue conservative party that is raging against the world. That's the last thing we need," Mr Abbott told Fairfax last year.

He also said the emergence of One Nation almost led to defeat for John Howard in 1998.

Will the rise of Donald Trump in the US, some Coalition voters disenfranchised with Malcolm Turnbull and the rising threat of terrorism lead to a groundswell of support for these extreme parties?

What realistic chances do they have on July 2 or are they just standing for election to make some noise? News.com.au went to find out.

THE RACIST LABEL DOESN'T BOTHER ME'

Jim Saleam is a survivor of far right politics in Australia. He has stood in elections since the 1980s, helped start the nationalist party National Action in 1982 and has spent time in jail.

He now runs the Australia First Party out of his home on a busy highway in Tempe, south of Sydney.

The party will have candidates contesting the Federal Election, including Dr Saleam standing in the western Sydney seat of Lindsay.

It is an important area for the anti-immigration party, with debate over a mosque at Kemps Creek helping Australia First gain some traction.

(The party had a councillor elected to Penrith Council in 2012 before he resigned from the party to continue on council as an independent councillor).

Most recently, Dr Saleam stood against Treasurer Scott Morrison at the 2013 election and only gained 617 votes.

But the party isn't really interested in getting elected. It's just keen to get its controversial message out there.

"We see the electoral process as a chance to put some of our views out there but also an opportunity to mobilise people around movements and issues," Dr Saleam tells news.com.au.

The party's "eight core policies" include an end to multiculturalism and limiting immigration to white Europeans.

They want to see the White Australia policy reinstated.

"I had the great privilege of being born into that sort of Australia. And I made a personal decision many years ago that my children would die in that sort of Australia," Dr Saleam said.

He mocked other far right parties such as the Australian Liberty Alliance that are opposed to Islamic immigration.

"Diversity minus Islam is still diversity.

"As Pauline Hanson always says there's a right way and a wrong way (to enter Australia). We say, 'No right way, no wrong way, no way'."

He believes Australians are being "ethnically cleansed".

But Dr Saleam's past and the party's extreme views mean it will never attract a big following.

(The party was deregistered last year because of a lack of members, only to be reinstated this year when it reached the minimum number of members of 500).

In the 1990s, he was jailed for three and a half years for supplying a gun to two men who shot up the home of an African National Congress representative.

(After getting out of jail, Dr Saleam spent five years at Sydney University where he did a PhD on right wing politics in Australia).

He still maintains he was set up by the police and his case was one of "four great political trials in Australia".

As for being labelled a racist, he doesn't seem to mind.

"I really don't care. It's something that's inevitably said because obviously I exercise a racial preference," he said.

"The label of racist doesn't really disturb me that much, it's more (important) that people read what we actually do say." [more ...]

* Australia First Party (AFP) is not a splinter group of Tony Abbott's so-called conservative Liberal Party.

* Dr Jim Saleam was wrongfully imprisoned on bogus charges by the political police.

* AFP was de-registered due to Electoral Commission incompetence - not due to a lack of members.

* That matter has since been rectified and AFP is once again a registered political party.

* AFP is the only political party in Australia that fights for the average White Australian. All other parties that the MSM and the two main parties care to lump together in the so-called Conservative or Far Right-Wing categories are merely anti-Islam, pro-Multicultural satellites of the Conservative Left-Wing Liberal Party that have abandoned White Australians in an effort to gain acceptance from the mainstream.

Given the opportunity, I will be voting for Australia First Party in the coming election.

COALITION MP George Christensen has caused a stir by saying he does not want Syrian refugees resettled in his regional Queensland seat.

The Member for Dawson — who is set to host an election campaign visit by former prime minister Tony Abbott this week — says on his Facebook page he had sought assurances the refugees would not be resettled in his electorate.

ADELAIDE could face the same terrorism threats as Sydney unless Muslim immigration is stopped, Pauline Hanson's man in South Australia says.

As pundits predict the One Nation leader could secure a Senate seat on July 2, One Nation SA candidate Steven Burgess has backed her controversial views.

"One Nation is looking at zero Islamic immigration until Islam is reformed," he said.

"With the Islamic culture and the effects of Islamic culture in countries where it's dominant such as female genital mutilation, child brides, the stoning of people who have different beliefs ... that culture is not something we can afford to have in Australia.

"At this stage (SA) has been well insulated but it will only be a matter of time; once the population increases we will see exactly the problems they've had in Sydney, Melbourne and the rest of the world."

Party leader Ms Hanson gained a House of Representative spot 20 years ago and sparked outrage in her maiden speech where she talked about Australia being "in danger of being swamped by Asians", said that Aboriginal people were unfairly privileged and she also criticised multiculturalism

Why Angry Anderson is making his return to politics

Former rocker Angry Anderson told Andrew Bolt on The Bolt Report that he believes in the policies of the Australian Liberty Alliance party, which do not support Muslim immigration.

Anderson said "the more people of Islamic faith come here, the greater percentage of that and it's only a small percentage we understand that, of militants, and, but they grow," he said.

He stood by the party's plan for a moratorium on Muslim immigration, which would allow us to have a "five to ten year buffer zone", so "we can all meet together and get them to be part of the solution".

"We need the silent majority of people of Islamic faith to have a voice over the violent minority," he said.

"It'll give us all the opportunity to learn from each other."

On the Australian Liberty Alliance's website, their police {sic} titled 'Stop the Islamisation of Australia' states:

• "These proposals include a 10-year moratorium on all resident visa categories for applicants from member countries of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC). Exceptions shall apply to the humanitarian intake of persecuted non-Islamic minorities from OIC countries.
• "Further, we will require for accredited Islamic organisations in Australia to accept formally the supremacy of Australian law and universal human rights over Islamic doctrine and Sharia law. For example full face coverings in public spaces shall be prohibited.
• "We will seek to prevent the implementation of any aspect of Sharia finance, Sharia courts and the influence of local or foreign Sharia councils over Australian institutions, our economic system and our supply chain. Among the proposed measures is the mandatory labelling of products and services from companies that have taken out halal certification, the implementation of the 'user pays' principle for halal certification schemes and an end to religious discrimination in Australia's secular organisations."

The website of One Nation Western Australia, which has merged with Australia First Party, will be Australia First's public organ for the campaign.

With ONWA people being with Australia First, consider the activities of the rather misguided Pauline Hanson and her so-called candidate in Western Australia. It is rather ironic that a lot of folks out there chatter on about 'good ol' Pauline'. Those who knew her, with all the betrayals, the financial rip-offs and the lack of sincerity in her personal relationships – rather disagree with their enthusiasm.
