Extract: The Melbourne CBD, university and zoo have again been blanketed with vile racist posters and stickers by a Victorian neo-Nazi group who hit the headlines for similar stunts last year.

Around 200 posters were plastered around the city on Monday night. One type of poster featured swastikas, anti-Jewish slogans and images; another showed a picture of Adolf Hitler wearing sunglasses; and the third, and arguably the most offensive, is splashed with slogans 'stop the hordes' and 'keep Australia white', and 'dunecoons, *skins, niggers, chinks, get out'.

On the evening of December 9th, as International Human Rights Day grew close, The Hon Paul Fletcher MP pressed the big red button to launch "Fight Against Hate" a new reporting tool created by Australia's Online Hate Prevention Institute (OHPI). Mr Fletcher, who has headed the Australian Government's push on online safety, praised the new tool and the change it will make to efforts to combat online hate and the harm it can cause, particularly to children.

The launch event also features a panel discussion with representatives of some of the groups regularly subjected to attacks online ... On the panel was Julie Nathan, the Executive Council of Australian Jewry's Research Officer and the author of the 2014 report into antisemitism in Australia. Representatives of the Indigenous Australian community, Muslim community, the peak body for ethnic communities, and the peak body representing parents were also on the panel.

Jeremy Jones AM, a co-chair of the Global Forum to Combat Antisemitism explained that the software had the support of the Global Forum and the Israeli Government. He explained that a report into the antisemitic data gathered through the system will be released at the Global Forum to Combat Antisemitism in Jerusalem in May 2015.

THERE would be a national taskforce to fix the crisis in child protection and youth justice if it involved white rather than Aboriginal children, Australia's only indigenous children's commissioner says.

Victorian Commissioner for Aboriginal Children and Young People Andrew Jackomos says there is institutional racism and bias in the child protection and youth justice systems, in which indigenous children are significantly over- represented.




He told the royal commission into the Territory's youth justice system racism needed to be recognised and addressed throughout all jurisdictions

"No matter how good your policies are, no matter how good your legislation is, no matter how many dollars you allocate, if you have poor practice that arises from institutional racism, as it does, then we will never have a good service for Aboriginal children and other children," he said.

"You just can't achieve that unless you confront and own up that there's institutional racism and bias within the child protection system and the youth justice system."


Mr Jackomos said his role should be mirrored throughout all Australian jurisdictions, given the significant over representation of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children in the child protection and youth justice systems.


The inquiry has heard half of Aboriginal children come to the attention of the NT's overwhelmed child protection system before the age of 10 in what amounts to a humanitarian crisis.

Commissioner Mick Gooda said it is a crisis and questioned if that alone is motivation enough to have specialist Aboriginal children's commissioners to fix the problem.

FOX Sports presenter Hannah Hollis has opened up about the "awful" bullying she suffered at high school because of her indigenous heritage.

Speaking to The Daily Telegraph about the significance of NAIDOC Week, the 26-year-old recalled how at 14 she was ostracised at school because of her background.
"I went to a private all-girls school in Canberra.

"There weren't many Aboriginals around and I was the only one at my high school. I was bullied and not invited to birthday parties because they thought the Aboriginal was going to steal their toys," said Hollis, whose maternal great-grandmother came from the Jawoyn people in the Northern Territory.

Ironically, it was a school speech she gave during ­NAIDOC Week that instigated the torment.[
"After that I became known as the 'dirty abo' ... they were formative years and it was tough. I didn't have any friends at school."
However the experience also ignited a fierce determination in the Darwin-born reporter to prove the bullies wrong, and to speak up for her culture.
"I thought, 'how dare you make me feel ashamed of who I am', "she said. "I never thought I would feel ashamed of who I was or where I came from."

RACIST posters calling for prominent Muslim Australians Yassmin Abdel-Magied and Waleed Aly to be deported are being displayed — and pulled down — around Sydney.

The shocking signs, designed by a nationalist group encouraging followers to print and hang them in public places around the country, are made to resemble Pokemon cards and feature the catch phrase "gotta catch & deport them all".

Greens Senator Sarah Hanson-Young is featured on one of the posters, with the modified tagline "gotta catch & hang 'em all". Others feature cartoon Apex gang members and a "passive yet cunning" Asian man, given the name "Chinkamon".

The posters have shocked people for the racist slurs and insulting descriptions of the people and groups they feature.

The poster featuring Ms Abdel-Magied is titled "Yassmin-Abdelamon" and is stamped with the words "update: Self-exiled", presumably referring to the former ABC identity's recent move to London.

The sign describes the character as a "big-mouthed Australianaphobe" and a "nuisance feminist."

"Waleedamon", the group's depiction of popular The Project host, is described as "charming yet insidious" and is said to possess the ability of Taqiyya, which the poster defines as being "used by Muslims to lie to non-beleivers (sic) to defeat them".

Senator Hanson-Young is accused of being out to "destroy Australia by promoting self-hatred and open borders", while the Asian caricature is accused of "inconspicuous buyout of Aussie housing, business & infrastructure".

The "Apexamon" poster, illustrated as two drawings of black men holding knives and guns with a "racial commitment to crime".

The posters have been produced by a group calling itself Aussie Nationalists.

On the group's website it offers high resolution copies of the posters, encouraging followers to print them out and "spread the love in your area".

One of the posters, featuring an image of Waleed Aly done up as "Waleedamon", was spotted in Sydney's inner west overnight and posted to Facebook.
The poster was reportedly removed shortly after it was shared online.

Members of the public are believed to have alerted police, who have told news.com.au they are investigating.

"Police at Marrickville Local Area Command are now aware of the posters and we are seeking information from the public about who made and distributed them.
