One law enforcement official said James Von Brunn, 89, a white supremacist, was under investigation in the shooting, and a second official said the elderly man's car was found near the museum and tested for explosives. They spoke on condition of anonymity, saying they were not authorized to discuss the investigation.

Von Brunn has a racist, anti-Semitic Web site and wrote a book titled "Kill the Best Gentiles."

In 1983, he was convicted of attempting to kidnap members of the Federal Reserve Board. He was arrested two years earlier outside the room where the board was meeting, carrying a revolver, knife and sawed-off shotgun. At the time, police said Von Brunn wanted to take the members hostage because of high interest rates and the nation's economic difficulties.

According to the news reports he was in his 80's, I'll say that's a good thing as if it were another young White, it would have been another huge waste of a White life for little purpose. Ah well, laws will probably be tightened and the fight goes on.

He was 88. Some suggest that this has symbolic meaning, as he wanted to sacrifice himself for the White Race.

You live 88 years,you see too many changes that are unacceptable.

You try tolerance, and it becomes acceptance, and grinds down into obedience.

One day you recall,that you didn't ask for,apply for, or vote to be- obedient,scared,fearful or miserable.

You recall that for most of your long useful life, you have always been proud, strong, reliable and responsible.

You witness the changes that are so obviously not for the better of your neighbors, and you feel ashamed.

Ashamed that all you hard work and tireless effort, has gone for nothing to aid your family,your neighbors and your friends.

Reasonably, you wait. You wait and wait and wait-for years and years and years. You reason, talk, explain, search, learn, work and give till your exhausted with waiting and trying.
