Israel: Where the Truth Hurts - Never Say Sorry for Alleged Anti-Semitism

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas has offered an apology after he was accused of anti-Semitism for suggesting that historic persecution of European Jews has been caused by their conduct, not by their religion. In his apology on Friday, Mr Abbas said: "I would also like to reiterate our long-held condemnation of the Holocaust, as the most heinous crime in history, and express our sympathy with its victims.

Israeli Defence Minister Avigdor Lieberman swiftly rejected Mr Abbas' apology. He wrote on Twitter, "[Mr Abbas] is a wretched Holocaust denier. That is how he should be treated. His apologies are not accepted." Reacting to the speech on Wednesday, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu accused Mr Abbas of grave anti-Semitism and Holocaust denial. Rabbis Marvin Hier and Abraham Cooper of the US-based Jewish organisation the Simon Wiesenthal Centre said Mr Abbas's words were those of "a classic anti-Semite".

The moral here is never to apologise. It doesn't matter if you're called a Racist or an anti-Semite, Islamophobe, Misogynist or Homophobe ... as long as the accuser is politically correct the best thing you can do is to stick to your guns. And never show offence. It's the accuser that wants you to cower and roll over like a dog. The trick is to make your accuser rant and rave ... the longer your accuser drags it out, the more offended your accuser gets.

In my experience, the accuser will always work themselves up into a frenzy and call the police. And - even better - the moment they have called the police, they'll get overconfident and that's when you have them.
