Being Scots, I know the Irish better than most. Scots and Irish are the same Sub-Race of White Man: Celtic Gaels. However, there are two types of Irish: Decent Irish and whiny Victim Irish that are as bad as any Nigger or Jew. They'll murder you then bitch  they are "Victims of English tyranny."

Indoctrination of Our Youth

Unfortunately another anti-White magazine with the primary goal of mind polluting our children. Our enemies like to start early with their attacks/indoctrination on our youth.

‘Reopen’ Protests Are Motivated By Racism, Lack of Concern for Black and Brown LivesThis op-ed argues that the calls to “liberate” America are rooted in white entitlement.

Kandist Mallett
MAY 01, 2020
Ethan Miller

In Huntington Beach, California, about 45 minutes away from Los Angeles without traffic, the beach was recently crowded with mostly white bodies who were not wearing masks nor practicing social distancing.

Huntington Beach is home to one of the “reopen" movements, an astroturf protest focused on reopening businesses across America as the COVID-19 pandemic still rages, in a rejection of all things science. A year ago protesters took to downtown Huntington Beach for an anti-immigration rally that turned violent. Huntington Beach and Orange County in general have a strong white nationalist presence. Whether it’s “taking back their country,” “making America great again,” or “reopening America,” the goals of these white Americans are rooted in a desire to return to their white dominance and white comfort.

There are two fronts where Black people are being hit hard by the pandemic: the physical and the financial. A long history of government neglect and unequal access to health care has meant that Black people have been disprortionately killed by this virus. The decision of some states to reopen as the number of positive cases continues to growfeels like a big ole racist F-you to Black Americans. It’s almost like once they found out Black people were the most impacted, they became even less concerned.

Georgia governor Brian Kemp, who has been accused of voter suppression and took a picture with a notorious racist during a campaign rally, was the first to order his state to reopen. Georgia is currently ranked twelfthin the U.S. for states with the most COVID-19 infections, with more than 26,000 cases and more than 1,000 deaths. On April 14, when there were 501 deaths, the Georgia Department of Public Health reported that at least 248 were Black people. Dougherty County, which is 70%Black, has the most deaths in the state. There has been resistance to reopening by some local leaders. Atlanta mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms said she would consider legal options to keep Atlanta closed. In response to her pushback, Bottoms received a racist text message that used the n-word and demanded she reopen the city.

Despite data showing that social distancing is working in other states, ordering Georgia’s heavily Black and brown workforce back on the job relieves the state of having to pay unemployment benefits. According to CityLab, $42 million was distributed in unemployment benefits in Georgia during a span of seven days in late March. And as As Vice reported, those who refuse to go back to work out early of fear for their safety will lose their pandemic unemployment insurance. The $2 trillion federal stimulus package also meant that those on unemployment would have seen an extra $600 in their unemployment paycheck.

The same sort of callous logic is playing out at the federal level. When it appeared that the supply chain of meat production was threatened, President Donald Trump didn’t hesitate to cite the Defense Production Act to force meat production plants to stay open. A lot of those workers are Black and brown, including immigrants. Largely what Trump is saying is that the country's desire to have meat — and these companies’ bottom lines — is more important than the lives of the workers.

The calls from white officials and their constituents to “liberate” America and get the country back to work are rooted in white entitlement. These people want to return to the comforts of their lives even if it costs the lives of the workers providing them. In some of the anti-lockdown protests, Confederate flags could be spotted among the signs reading, “I want a haircut.” The point of some of these protests isn’t that these white workers are eager to get back to their own jobs, but that they want “their help” to get back to work. The parallels to slavery raise themselves.

Racism in this country is more than just how an individual feels about a race; it’s the systemic, institutional inequality. When we look at the calls to reopen and policies surrounding recovery, Black communities are largely disadvantaged by both. Type Investigations reported that out of the 63 retail COVID-19 public-private testing sites that Trump boasted about, only eight were in Black communities. The lack of testing for those who are Black has been a story we’ve heard throughout this crisis. Kaila Corrothers told NBC News that her mother, Deborah Gatewood, was denied testing four times before ultimately dying of COVID-19. Corrothers said Gatewood was a hospital worker who had symptoms but had her concerns repeatedly dismissed. (Gatewood’s employer, Beaumont Hospital in Farmington Hills, Michigan, told NBC that it was "doing everything we can to evaluate, triage and care for patients based on the information we know at the time. We grieve the loss of any patient to COVID-19.") Gatewood’s story is infuriating, but it’s not surprising. The Detroit area has long shown a lack of care for Black lives; whether it’s through environmental racism, economic failure, or mass incarceration, racists are going to racist.

I can’t help but think of Black health overall and how many of us have died because we’ve been denied proper treatment. I’ve been thinking about the thousands of Black women who have died because of failures in pregnancy and the difficulty Black people face getting screening for cancer and other deadly diseases. When we first started to hear about a shortage of testing, I knew that meant that Black people would be denied testing somehow because of institutional racism in our health care system.

White parents need to be more and more vigilant against the indoctrination and mind pollution of our children. The attack on our race starts at an early age and we must protect our children. They are our future.

Pennsylvania school district mandates "anti-racism" lessons for elementary students

by Peter Heck · Aug 17th, 2020 8:46 am
Last Updated Aug 19th, 2020 at 9:00 am

Children at Gladwyne Elementary School in Pennsylvania, one of the richest districts in the country, will be required to undergo extensive "anti-racist" curriculum training this year in order to combat racism and privilege.

The school's "cultural proficiency" lessons will require kindergarten and first grade students to read "A Kid's Book About Racism," while fourth and fifth graders will be taught from "Not My Idea: A Book About Whiteness." The latter book teaches that racism entails white people sympathizing with police officers.

While the school had already announced four new cultural proficiency lessons back in June, they have since added a fifth that concentrates solely on "anti-racism."

"Generally, each class also engages in a cultural proficiency lesson; however, we realize that this is not enough," Gladwyne Principal Veronica Ellers wrote in an email obtained by the Free Beacon. "We plan to continue designing lessons that promote anti-racist actions in the upcoming 20-21 school year and beyond."

A group of parents have objected to the changes, but have largely been ignored by the school administration. Some parents believe the nature of the curriculum itself works to silence parental objection out of fear of being labeled a racist.

Gladwyne Elementary School is far from the only district dealing with this issue. A left-wing education group called "Teaching Tolerance" has been partnering with other districts to develop curriculum that reshapes social studies classes to highlight slavery as a fundamental backbone of America's existence.

Australia's first female prime minister, Juliar Gillard, attempted to pass new laws to force children from age 2 in kindergarten to be taught anti-Bullying, anti-Masculinity, anti-Racism/anti-White lessons. It didn't pass, but you know that's what they are doing anyway.

If anyone's looking for the information, it'll be buried somewhere in the Australian/Downunder News section of this forum.

Create private religious school as it have other religions who is legal in your state who can explain Creativity with white specialists who have good result in jobs. Promote also eugenic in school who will not allow lunatics into health white class who live according to four dimensions of Creativity.

'Listen. Act. Unite': 'Sesame Street' tackles racism in Zoom-like TV special

www.foxla.com

“Sesame Street" has always pressed for inclusion. Now in the wake of the national reckoning on race, it's going further — teaching children to stand up against racism.

Sesame Workshop — the nonprofit, educational organization behind “Sesame Street” — will later this month air the half-hour anti-racist special "The Power of We” and hopes families will watch together.

The special defines racism for younger viewers and shows how it can be hurtful. It urges children who encounter racism or hear someone else be the victim of it to call it out. “When you see something that's wrong, speak up and say, ‘That’s wrong' and tell an adult,” 6-year-old Gabrielle the Muppet advises.

The special, composed of little skits and songs in a Zoom-like format, will stream on HBO Max and PBS Kids and air on PBS stations beginning Oct. 15.

In one animated skit, a Black Muppet is told by a white Muppet that he can't dress up like a superhero because they're only white. Though hurt, the Black Muppet nevertheless refuses to stop playing superheroes, saying they can come in all colors. The white Muppet soon apologizes. “Racism hurts and it's wrong,” is the message.

In the song “How Do You Know?” racism is dealt with head-on. “Hey, Elmo, how would you feel if I said, 'I don't like you ‘cause I don’t like the color red?'” sings Tamir, a Black, 8-year-old Muppet. Elmo responds: ”Elmo wouldn't care what you said 'cause Elmo is proud, proud to be red!" It concludes with the lines: “Speak up. Say something. Don’t give in.”

“We believe that this moment calls for a direct discussion about racism to help children grasp the issues and teach them that they are never too young to be ‘upstanders’ for themselves, one another, and their communities,” said Kay Wilson Stallings, executive vice president of creative and production at Sesame Workshop, in a statement.

Current and former Sesame Street human cast members Alan, Charlie, Chris and Gordon take part in the special, alongside celebrity guests Yara Shahidi, the star of "grown-ish;" “Hamilton” star Christopher Jackson; and Grammy-nominated singer Andra Day.

Viewers are offered tips to help their communities unite, including chalk drawings, making positive signs and going to sing-a-longs. When outside, all the puppets wear masks, even the letter puppets. The special concludes with the slogan “Listen. Act. Unite.”

Sesame Workshop has included online resources for parents to help guide conversations with their child about race, including talking, singing and breathing together. “Sharing can help us feel better,” is one tip. There are also downloadable pictures to color and a certificate with a place to put the name of an upstander.

“Sesame Street,” which last year celebrated its 50th anniversary, has a history of explaining the world to children, tackling everything from foster care to substance abuse. The latest special comes on the heels of “Sesame Street” contributing to “Coming Together: Standing Up To Racism,” a CNN town hall special in June hosted by Van Jones and Erica Hill.

Coalition: Burlington schools' anti-racism policies not enough

www.fox6now.com

BURLINGTON, Wis. - The Burlington School Board is adopting new anti-racism policies into their student handbook, but a community coalition says much more needs to be done to address the problem of racism in the Burlington Area School District.

The new policies reject racism of any kind on school grounds or at school-sponsored events. A community coalition says this is not enough to ensure change in the district.

"We all have a part to play to end racism," said Diane Wood, school board member.

The Burlington School Board voted unanimously to adopt new anti-racism policies Monday night, Nov. 30 that will be added to existing harassment policies.

"The anti-harassment, anti-racism policy in the Burlington School District is acknowledgement that racism will not be allowed in our schools.”

These new policies have been in the works for a while. The last time the board attempted to discuss these policies in early November, heated public comment shut down the meeting. Some people reported incidents of racism in the community. Community members on both sides argued about the proposals.

On Monday, the board met virtually in a special meeting without public comment.

"Tonight, they will be moving on with finalizing the policy they themselves drafted, and they took eight sentences out of our eight-page anti-racism policy and stuck them into a bullying policy, and they are calling it an anti-racism policy," said Darnisha Garbade, president of the Burlington Coalition for Dismantling Racism.

The Burlington Coalition for Dismantling Racism has taken issue with this format. They also say the board did not incorporate the voices of people of color into the process of drafting these new policies.

"We haven’t been invited yet," said Garbade. "They proceeded without us.”

The new policies “reject all forms of racism" and all “individual” and “structural” or “systemic racism.”

The coalition says this isn’t enough to ensure change in the district. Members of the board appeared to agree.

"Just because we are accomplishing this tonight doesn’t mean there isn’t more work to do," said Taylor Wishau, school board member. "I think we all agree and acknowledge that.”

In a statement through their Facebook page, the coalition called these new policies insufficient and listed contact information for board members and the superintendent, encouraging people to write to them and voice their frustrations with these policies.

A school district spokeswoman said this in a statement to FOX6 News Tuesday:

"The Burlington Area School District shifted to virtual learning from November 11-29. Monday (11/30) was our first day back in our hybrid/in-person model. Since the notice of meetings need to be posted in advance, a virtual meeting was logistically better. The board may choose to meet virtually for a period of time to continue with its business.

"The regular monthly meeting that occurs on the 2nd Monday of the month is when the board accepts public comment. The 4th Monday of the month, which last night's meeting was, is reserved for "special meetings" which are not complete meetings and usually don't have a public comment time.

"The public has the right to attend open meetings, but the board is not required to allow citizen comments. People can still send the board comments at boardcomments@basd.k12.wi.us. This email has been available since spring.

"The BCDR asked to be on the November 9 agenda to discuss the policy. It was on the agenda and the school board was prepared, with a handout of the draft of the policy, for that discussion on the 9th. That meeting adjourned early."

Is it possible in your develop capitalist states have private Creator school (what is in Creator program) with legal school licences where would students find their jobs later? Do states allow independet private programs for students or not? I know that christian curches have their religious school as marxist have domination in humanistic sciences. How much for example Australia and USA have influence in private school system? As I see here, for having Creator Curch is in USA and Australia legal what is not case in my post-communist area,it is same rank as member of criminal organization according to our laws. Did serious Creator school who can have good students who are as averages ever existed? I know that in your develop areas people have much more private capital then we have including working class, you can answer me on pm if you want.

I knew that but is it legal having private Creator school without problems with laws who can be legal as other schools where would be diplomas of students same as other anti-white students,or precisely,is it possible that Creator students can be employeed in private firms who would finished private Creator schools? If it is possible, did ever existed serious interests for that? I know that Klassen had school for the gifted boys (private?) and I do not know soo much about it. Was it just Creator indoctrination or something serious for employ them in future with serious professors? Klassen excepted donations in his times by white capitalists for his organization and one step was building Creator private schools independent of anti-white teachenings.
I am still learning English. Please forgive any errors you may see.

You misunderstand the Klassen School for Gifted boys.

That school was to teach them a cross section of understandable politics  and Green Beret/Boy Scout training.

The school's administration claim this isn't a requirement for students, as of now. But I'm sure when the school's (a.k.a. indoctrination center) denigrating and guilting of White students into taking this nonsense doesn't work, they will soon make these classes mandatory.

Connecticut will become the first state to require high schools to offer Black and Latino studies in fall 2022

By Leah Asmelash and Anna Sturla, CNN
Updated 6:06 PM ET, Wed December 9, 2020

Gov. Ned Lamont called the move "long overdue," in a statement.

(CNN)Beginning in fall of 2022, Connecticut will require high schools to offer African-American, Black, Puerto Rican and Latino studies, becoming the first state in the nation to do so.

Connecticut Gov. Ned Lamont made the announcement Wednesday, after signing the law, Public Act 19-12, last year. The law requires high schools to "include an elective course of studies at the high school level that provides students with a better understanding of the African-American, Black, Puerto Rican, and Latino contributions to United States history, society, economy, and culture," according to a news release.

Though high schools are required to offer the course, students will not be required to take it.

The change comes as school districts across the country pay more attention to diversifying K-12 curriculums, as communities assess what history is taught in schools and what is left out.

There's a movement to get more schools to teach Black history and it's being led by teens

In a statement, the governor said "this is a step that is long overdue."

"Increasing the diversity of what we teach is critical to providing students with a better understanding of who we are as a society and where we are going," Lamont said. "Adding this course in our high schools will be an enormous benefit not only to our Black and Latino students, but to students of all backgrounds because everyone can benefit from these studies."

Miguel Cardona, the education commissioner of the state, also praised the move, saying that 27% of students in the state identify as Hispanic or Latino and 13% identify as Black or African-American.

"Identities matter," Cardona said in a statement. "This curriculum acknowledges that by connecting the story of people of color in the U.S. to the larger story of American history. The fact is that more inclusive, culturally relevant content in classrooms leads to greater student engagement and better outcomes for all."

Also in the state, a bill has been proposed to require the teaching of Native American history, which is currently recommended but not required.

Teachers at posh NYC school release 8-page anti-racism manifesto, sparks uproar: report

www.foxnews.com

One of NYC’s poshest private schools is in an uproar over an anti-racist manifesto signed by dozens of faculty members with a sweeping list of demands.

The Dalton School — which boasts stars Anderson Cooper, Christian Slater and Claire Danes as alumni — is wrestling with eight pages of "proposals" to overhaul the staffing, curriculum and treatment of black students.

Yearly tuition for grades K-12 at the Upper East Side institution is $54,180 a year.

The proposals — first reported this week by The Naked Dollar blog — grew out of the George Floyd police-brutality protests and long-simmering student complaints of racism at the prestigious school.

But some parents say the backlash has become oppressive.

"My ancestors experienced white supremacy by being slaughtered," a Jewish parent told The Post.  "The idea that being white automatically means you are privileged or a white supremacist is ridiculous. My child comes from people who had to fight for everything they got.

"It’s just about skin color now."

Those who disagree remain silent, the insider said. "Parents are terrified to speak up for fear of retribution. Parents are acting like spineless wimps."

One Dalton father, who said he’s removed his children from the school as a result of the manifesto, said Dalton "has totally failed in its mission to uplift the very people it professes to help.

"It’s completely absurd and a total step backwards," the father, who did not want to be identified, told the Post.

"This supposed anti-racist agenda is asking everyone to look at black kids and treat them differently because of the color of their skin," he said. "The school is more focused on virtue-signaling this nonsense than it is in actually helping students of color. More parents are going to be pulling their kids out."

The wide-ranging faculty demands include:

* Hiring 12 full-time diversity officers, and multiple  psychologists to support students "coping with race-based traumatic stress."

* Assigning a staffer dedicated to black students who have "complaints or face disciplinary action," and a full-time advocate to help black kids "navigate a predominantly white institution."

* Paying the student debt of black staffers upon hiring them.Requiring courses that focus on "Black liberation" and "challenges to white supremacy."

* Compensating any student of color who appears in Dalton promotional material.

* Abolishing high-level academic courses by 2023 if the performance of black students is not on par with non-blacks. Requiring "anti-racism" statements from all staffers.

* Overhauling the entire curriculum, reading lists and student plays to reflect diversity and social justice themes.

* Divesting from companies that "criminalize or dehumanize" black people, including private prisons and tech firms that manufacture police equipment or weapons.

* Donating 50 percent of all fundraising dollars to NYC public schools if Dalton is not representative of the city in terms of gender, race, socioeconomic background, and immigration status by 2025.

Dalton officials said the document is just "a set of thought-starters created last summer by a group of faculty and staff responding to Dalton’s commitment to becoming an anti-racist institution.

"The school does not support all the language or actions it contains." it added.

"Dalton’s commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion and anti-racism is grounded in our deep appreciation for the dignity of all community members, an understanding of differing life backgrounds, empathy for one another, and the ability to engage and listen with respect across differences," the school said in a statement to The Post.

But Naked Dollar blogger Scott Johnston, who first revealed the manifesto Thursday, said of the demands: "Dalton’s teachers are refusing to come back until they are met."

Send a little joy straight to their inbox (or mailbox)

The Dalton spokesman rebutted, "We’re expecting all teachers to return after winter break."

Johnston — the author of "Campusland," a humorous novel about the "woke" college climate — said the "meltdown" at Dalton reflects the angst and self-imposed guilt of elite private schools across the country.

"This isn’t just Dalton, but one of the most extreme examples," he told The Post.  "There’s a rituatualistic self-abasement these private schools feel they have to subject themselves to."

Send a little joy straight to their inbox (or mailbox)

Sources told Johnston that Dalton kids were made to watch a PBS video called Being 12, in which "white kids are shamed for the sin of their skin color and told they are complicit in perpetuating racism."

A Dalton fourth-grade play featured a role for a "Racist Cop," Johnston reported, adding that the faculty petition includes a demand that every  school play have anti-racist narratives. "I’m told even ‘To Kill a Mockingbird’ is out these days. It’s a white man trying to save a black man. Can’t have that sort of racial paternalizing."

In revealing the turmoil, Johnston wrote, "The rich parents play the game. They go along with every progressive fad conjured up by the administration and faculty. Many embrace them."

But the Dalton parent who spoke to The Post predicted that 30 to 40 percent of parents of kids in the Class of 2025 will pull them out of the school and transfer them as a result of the manifesto.

Making the situation more tense, some Dalton parents are fuming over the school’s resistance to reopening classrooms since the COVID-19 outbreak, remaining fully remote while other private and public schools have resumed some or all in-person instruction.

"We are, in short, frustrated and confused and better hope to understand the school’s thought processes behind the virtual model it has adopted," a group of parents describing themselves as physicians wrote in a letter to head of school Jim Best, Bloomberg reported in early October.

A petition signed by more than 70 lower-school parents asked for the return of on-campus classes, Bloomberg reported. "Zoom-school is not Dalton," it said.

But that petition was seen by some as racist because faculty of color were more likely to live in the outer boroughs or neighborhoods with high rates of COVID-19.

Dalton announced last month that it will offer campus instruction as well as remote instruction in January.

The whole “protected species “ nonsense!

Why not send them all back to Africa with the skills America taught them and get them to run it better? At least trade these blacks for the remaining whites there and stick those people in the Elite school in America instead!

They haven’t evolved enough to be equal to whites in the academic field. They are better at sports and tracking lost people and animals in the scrub! They serve a different purpose to us in nature. The thing is, their skills are primitive and serve little purpose in this technologically advanced age.

Anti-racism curriculum to be implemented in school districts across Monroe County

13wham.com

ROCHESTER, NY (WHAM) - Sixth-grader Kenyetta Johnson has big dreams for when she grows up.

“I want to be a lot of things: a dancer, singer, or a model," she said.

Her mom, Temesshia Gauthier, hopes her daughter gets a chance to chase those goals in a world free of racism and inequality.

“It is very tough as parents to have those conversations with your kids, especially because they don’t know what is actually going on in the world," said Gauthier.

She has four kids in the Rochester City School District, and has long wanted local schools to cover Rochester's history of segregation and disparity.

“I believe it would help them tremendously to better understand what’s going on in this world," she said.

That's where Shaun Nelms, the superintendent at East High School, has stepped in.

“I always felt history was devoid of the history that represented my life and my culture as well as many of the students that sat in front of me," said Nelms.

The goal is for students to look at everything from housing disparities to how schools are funded to why people live in the zip codes they do.

“This is not trying to tell kids how to think, but it’s giving them a safe space to think and challenge things they heard and affirm things they heard and challenge others in the same way," Nelms said. "That’s what we should be doing and that’s the purpose of this project.”

Like many, Nelms felt outrage and sadness after the deaths of George Floyd, Breanna Taylor, and - here in Rochester - Daniel Prude, all in just the past year. In part, it's why he helped create a new curriculum that will focus on the history of racial injustice - from the 1964 uprising to present day.

The pilot program, developed by local teachers across the county, is underway.

“This is just the start. This is not the solution. This is not going to erase years of inequity. This is just the beginning to have an honest conversation about things that really matter in the education space," said Nelms.

The hope is that by spring, every eighth, eleventh, and twelfth grade student in Monroe County will be taught the same anti-racism lessons in the classroom.

“Our curriculum is a moral contract with our society. I truly believe that what’s not in our curriculum, [what] we choose not to teach our kids, will hurt them regardless of zip code," said Nelms.

Kenyetta is excited to take the course and believes it will make the community a better place for her and her classmates to grow up in.

Group pushing for lessons on racism, gender equality in NC schools

www.wavy.com

RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) — Big changes could be made in an effort to make your child’s classroom more inclusive, but it would require a revision to the social studies curriculum.

“Historically institutions have erased histories of marginalized groups namely black, indigenous people of color and the LGBTQ, both their stories and their histories,” said Rebby Kern of Equality NC.

That’s why Kern is calling on the North Carolina State Board of Education to revise its curriculum to include language and stories of groups that are often marginalized.

“The proposed revisions to the K-12 social studies standards have included additions that encourage educators to discuss systemic discrimination, system racism, as well as gender identity and beyond that marginalized groups and their perspective,” said Kern.

“These standards we’re talking about they’re not divisive,” said Lt. Gov. Mark Robinson. “They’re not giving us cause to look at them the way they’re written.”

Robinson has been a vocal opponent of the push to rewrite the history curriculum.

“They point to calling our nation systemically racist,” said Robinson. “I’m diametrically opposed to that.”

“We as families can talk about racism as a way that is meaningful and impactful that doesn’t make any person wrong,” said Kern.

Both sides of the debate seem willing to sit down and discuss their point of view.

“I’m not going to go along to get along,” said Robinson.

“While here are still attacks on our communities, we must persist in this,” said Kern.

Ultimately it will be up to the state board of education to decide what, if any, changes will be made.

More garbage pumped out by the jewish boob tube to brain pollute our White children. All the more reason for parents to stay active in their children's lives and pay attention to the programs they watching on the television and internet, while teaching them properly.

'Steven Universe' Takes on Racism in New Cartoon Network PSA

BreAnna Bell
02/17/2021 12:38 am EST

Cartoon Network unveiled a new PSA promo titled See Color featuring Steven Universe' Amethyst (voiced by Michaela Dietz). The ad opens the purple alien on the set of a commercial with two other kids. Everything seems to go swimmingly until she and the kids sing "It doesn't matter if you're White, Black, or Purple." Amethyst suddenly stops the production. "Who wrote this? I think it kinda does matter that I'm purple. I mean I'm purple because I'm literally an alien," they ask. "I just think it's messed up to compare me being an alien, to you two being different races. You're both human, you're totally biologically the same. Adding purple people into a lesson about human racism makes no sense."

"I think people want the Black, White, or the Purple thing because adding a fantasy race in there helps distract from the actual racism Black people have to deal with," one of the kids adds. To which, the young Black girl responds saying, "My experience with anti-Black racism is really specific. Other people of color experience other forms of racism too, but you won't see any of that if you don't see color."

The new spot serves as the third of four planned public service announcements from the show's creator Rebecca Sugar, and Ian Jones-Quartey, creator of OK K.O.! Let’s Be Heroes. The first PSA, Don’t Deny It, Defy It, starring Garnet, was released in October; the next, named Tell the Whole Story and featuring Pearl, premiered in December. The aim of the ads is meant to provide families with productive conversations concerning race while also dismantling outdated misconceptions on the concept. The overall concept from the latest ad says, “It's important to SEE people in all their beautiful COLORS. When you see color and the unique experiences that come from it, you can recognize the role racism plays in our culture AND appreciate everyone and their diversity.”

See Color was developed in partnership with Dr. Deborah J. Johnson, a developmental psychologist. Dr. Johnson tells Animation World Network, "These PSAs offer a compact message of antiracism targeted toward messaging justice, fairness, inclusion and allyship based in research evidence. The PSAs are bold, bringing the complex issues of society around race, gender, identity, and inclusion intensely into focus in a language and with images children can understand. If we can capture children’s attention and early learning around these issues, our society has a chance to make and maintain shifts in equity for the long term.”

Anti-Racist Science Education

February 17, 20214:00 AM ET
EMILY KWONG

Until Henrietta Lacks' cells came along, whenever human cells were put in a lab dish, they would die immediately or reproduce only a few times. HeLa cells, by contrast, grew indefinitely.

Short Wave listener and antibody engineer Esther Odekunle wrote in with a question: "Does genius absolve racism?" We don't think it does. Some of the most prestigious scientists in history advanced racist and eugenicist views. But why is that rarely mentioned in textbooks? Can racial justice and science history be incorporated into a science class?

For the educators we speak with, the answer is yes. They are building an anti-racist perspective into their curriculum and seeking to make the science classroom more inclusive. (Encore episode)

We speak with:

Letimicia Fears, a postdoctoral fellow in the Collaborative for STEM Education and Outreach at Vanderbilt University and an adjunct in the Department of Biological Science at Tennessee State UniversityGretchen

Kraig-Turner, a science teacher at Burlington-Edison High School and a contributing author to Rethinking School

More perverse indoctrination from the sexual deviants.

https://www.theblaze.com/news/video-little-boy-reads-the-gaybcs

VIDEO: Woman has little boy read 'The GayBCs' — a children's book with terms like 'bi,' 'coming out,' and 'queer.' And the reaction is swift.

www.theblaze.com

A video of a woman having a little boy read from "The GayBCs" — a children's book that uses letters of the alphabet to introduce readers as young as 4 years old to LGBTQ words — has been making quite a stir on social media.

The video begins with the little boy reading aloud the word for letter A: "ally." Then the woman with him is heard introducing the rest of the letters, beginning with "B is for" — and the tyke answers "bi."

While some of the words don't possess immediate LGBTQ connotations — H is for "hope" and M is for "mountain," for instance — others like "bi" hit right at the heart of it. And little boy with his cute little-boy voice reads all of them:

C is for "coming out."D is for "drag."G is for "gay."I is for "intersex."L is for "lesbian."N is for "non-binary."O is for "orientation."Q is for "queer."T is for "trans."

As you might expect, some folks wondered why a kid so young was being introduced to such words:

"The 'progressive alphabet' for the next generation," the Twitter commenter said. "God help us!"

Others seemed just as disturbed:

"iight folks, it's been real but I'm done with this planet," another commenter wrote in reaction to the clip. "Taking the next Elon Musk spaceship to Mars so we can start over.""What the actual f***," another user declared."Why is this necessary?" yet another commenter asked."I'm gay & ... KIDS SHOULD NOT BE TAUGHT ABOUT SEX. PERIOD," another user noted. "Doesn't matter if it makes YOU feel better. Is P for pedo? S for sodomy? I'd object to a kid learning an alphabet of diseases, too. It's called preserving innocence.""My 6 year old reads at a 3rd grade level and does not know half of these words by design," another commenter said. "This is full-on abuse. But those of us that do not perpetuate degeneracy can still do our jobs. Pull your kids. Vet their social circle. It's the very least you can do."But not everyone was upset

As you might imagine, others were fully supportive of the little boy being introduced to LGBTQ words:

"I don't get what homophobic people find so toxic with videos like this," one commenter said before mocking detractors. "Wow the child is probably gonna grow up to be respectful that people can be different in many ways; omg I can't believe it, this is brainwashing!!""In the past if you read an ABCs book, it might've had B for boy with the color blue and G for girl with the color pink, until you associate the color with the gender," another user noted. "Familiarizing children with gay, trans, and non-binary things is the exact same thing. That isn't brainwashing.""It's teaching kids that other people and minorities exist," another commenter wrote. "Trying to imply this is wrong is only implying that children should only grow up to misunderstand and be ignorant of other lifestyles ... perpetuates a problem; that is what we already have with ppl misunderstanding us."There's more on the pages

The below video shows a woman reading each page of "The GayBCs" — and there's more text below the introductory lines noted above.

For instance, after "B is for 'bi'" the text reads, "You can shout it out loud. I like boys and girls, and that makes me proud." After "G is for 'gay'" the text reads, "It's word that implies you're a girl who likes girls or a guy who likes guys." And after "L is for 'lesbian'" the text reads, "It's love and affection between two special girls who share a connection."

The harmfull mindset of the "educators" teaching our White children.

Truthfully every child should be taught the importance of racial consciousness. Unfortunately White children are being taught that White pride is a negative, while the niggers and mud races are encouraged to promote pride in their species/race. This devastating indoctrination is being used to destroy the future of our racial family.

‘You’re either a racist or you’re anti-racist:’ Montgomery County educators urged to fight racism

“You’re either a racist or you’re anti-racist; you actually have to be action-oriented,” she said.

Important steps include learning about the history of racism in America, bringing more Black and minority voices into the decision-making process, moving away from counterproductive punishment of students and intentionally affirming students’ cultural identities, Iruka said.

Iruka thanked Learn to Earn for not shying away from addressing racism head on.

“We will keep talking about our Black kids and we will keep doing a better job of prioritizing and supporting our Black kids as we go forward,” said Robyn Lightcap, the executive director of Learn to Earn Dayton.

As part of the virtual conference, Learn to Earn unveiled the design for a permanent art and play installation. The 400-square-foot piece designed by the Mosaic Institute of Greater Dayton will be installed this spring at the Omega Community Development Corporation’s Hope Center for Families, an educational, health and employment center being built in Northwest Dayton.

Conference attendees got mosaic tiles shipped to them ahead of time and were asked to write messages of hope on their pieces and send them back.

Illinois students will soon take more Black history classes

by Tessa Bentulan
Tuesday, March 9th 2021

SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WICS/WRSP) — Illinois students will soon take more classes about Black history as part of the state's plan to address educational inequity.

The new education law requires classes about the pre-enslavement of Black people, why Black people came to be enslaved, and the American Civil Rights renaissance.

Springfield High School teacher and Coach Roy Gully said he's happy efforts are being made to level the playing field.

"There's got to be a starting point somewhere. It's something that, in my opinion, has been a long time coming,” Gully said. “I'm glad that he's [Gov. JB Pritzker] making efforts to kind of right some of the wrongs."

This bill takes effect immediately.

Sesame Street has been a cesspool of indoctrination for decades, but it seems that in the past few years they have increased their efforts.

‘Sesame Street’ introduces 2 new Black Muppets to tackle race and racism

NEWS| 5 hours ago
By Christi Carras, Los Angeles Times (TNS)

The 2 new Muppets were introduced during the show’s ‘ABCs of Racial Literacy’ program Tuesday

Meet Elijah and Wes, father-son Muppets from “Sesame Street” that star in a new series educating children on race and racism.

As part of its “ongoing commitment to racial justice,” Sesame Workshop launched its “ABCs of Racial Literacy” program Tuesday, introducing Elijah and Wes. In the first installment, titled “Explaining Race,” the father and son explain to Elmo why their skin is a different color than his red fur.

Explore‘Sesame Street’ joins CNN to discuss racism Saturday, June 6

“Elmo wants to know why Wes’ skin is brown,” the fan-favorite Muppet tells his new friends.

“Melanin is something that we each have inside of our bodies that make the outside of our bodies the skin color that it is,” Elijah tells Elmo. “It also gives us our eye and our hair color.”

Asked by Elmo why his skin is a “darker brown” than his 5-year-old son’s skin, Elijah elaborates on the concept of pigmentation.

“That’s a good question, Elmo,” he says. “It’s because the more melanin you have, the darker your skin looks. The color of our skin is an important part of who we are, but we should all know that it’s OK that we all look different in so very many ways.”

“Explaining Race” is one of various resources created by Sesame Workshop to provide “age-appropriate language and strategies to answer sometimes-tough questions around race and racism,” according to Tuesday’s announcement.

Also coming soon is a follow-up short featuring Muppets Sofia and Rosita, who deal with the fallout of a racist encounter at a grocery store and celebrate speaking Spanish.

Also featured as part of Sesame Workshop’s “Sesame Street in Communities” initiative are videos in which real families discuss their personal backgrounds and experiences, as well as online activities to facilitate conversations about identity.

“As a trusted source for families, we have a responsibility to speak out for racial justice and empower families to have conversations about race and identity with their children at a young age,” said Kay Wilson Stallings, executive vice president of creative and production at Sesame Workshop, in a statement.

ExploreHow to talk about racism with kids

“The work to dismantle racism begins by helping children understand what racism is and how it hurts and impacts people. Sadly, today’s announcement comes at a time of racial and social discord when many families are in need of support in talking to their children about racism.”

Tuesday’s three-minute video, starring Elijah, Wes and Elmo, is Sesame Workshop’s latest antiracism effort following its special and CNN town hall on racism, developed in response to the killings of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Ahmaud Arbery and other victims of racial violence.

Additional virtual tools intended to educate families about race and combat racism are available on Sesame Workshop’s “Coming Together” website.

“Things on the outside — like our skin color, our hair texture, our noses, our mouths and eyes — make us who we are,” Elijah tells Elmo in the “Explaining Race” episode. “Many people call this race. But even though we look different, we’re all part of the human race.”

‘Sesame Street’ introduces 2 new Black Muppets to tackle race and racism

Sesame Street now needs to introduce an Hispanic Policemuppet, so he can shoot and kill the Black Muppets. Then they can all get together, sing a song and blame Whitey. (Think South Park's "Blame Canada!" song.)

Another reason to home school. Our enemies start attacking our children with their lies and deceit at an early age. So it is the parents' number one job to teach their children the proper way to live by "Golden Rule" and how to correctly aid in the survival, expansion, and advancement of their beautiful race/species.

Bad Education
In a Philadelphia elementary school, teachers are putting a premium on radicalism, not reading.

Christopher F. Rufo
February 11, 2021

A Philadelphia elementary school recently forced fifth-grade students to celebrate “black communism” and simulate a Black Power rally in honor of political radical Angela Davis.

According to whistleblower documents and a source within the school, a fifth-grade teacher at the inner-city William D. Kelley School designed a social studies curriculum to celebrate Davis, praising the “black communist” for her fight against “injustice and inequality.” As part of the lesson, the teacher asked students to “describe Davis’ early life,” reflect on her vision of social change, and “define communist”—presumably in favorable terms.

At the conclusion of the unit, the teacher led the ten- and eleven-year-old students into the school auditorium to “simulate” a Black Power rally to “free Angela Davis” from prison, where she had once been held while awaiting trial on charges of conspiracy, kidnapping, and murder. The students marched on the stage, holding signs that read “Black Power,” “Jail Trump,” “Free Angela,” and “Black Power Matters.” They chanted about Africa and ancestral power, then shouted “Free Angela! Free Angela!” as they stood at the front of the stage.

The William D. Kelley School has long been one of the most troubled in the district. The school’s student population is 94 percent black and 100 percent “economically disadvantaged.” Academically, it is one of the worst-performing schools in Pennsylvania. By sixth grade, only 3 percent of students are proficient in math, and 9 percent are proficient in reading. By graduation, only 13 percent of Kelley students will have achieved basic literacy.

Despite this abysmal academic performance, teachers and administrators at William Kelley have gradually abandoned traditional pedagogy in favor of political radicalism. Even the school’s newest public artworks illustrate this politicization. Administrators recently commissioned a mural of Davis and Huey P. Newton, who represent the Communist and Black Panther revolutionary movements of the 1960s; both figures stood trial for various crimes, including the murder of a police officer.

Unfortunately, the programs at William Kelley are no aberration. In recent years, the entire Philadelphia public school system has embraced the philosophy of “antiracism.” Last summer, the superintendent released an Antiracism Declaration promising to “[dismantle] systems of racial inequity” and circulated a memo recommending racially segregated training programs for white and black educators. The local teachers’ union produced a video denouncing the United States as a “settler colony built on white supremacy and capitalism” that has created a “system that lifts up white people over everyone else.” The solution, according to the union, is to overthrow the “racist structure of capitalism,” provide “reparations for Black and Indigenous people,” and “uproot white supremacy and plant the seeds for a new world.”

In practical terms, it is unclear how these “antiracist” programs will translate into academic outcomes. The gap between rhetoric and reality at schools such as William Kelley is almost beyond comprehension: the vast majority of the ten- and eleven-year-olds marching for the utopia of “black communism” can barely read and write. Rather than come to terms with the pedagogical failure of Philadelphia public schools, however, educators have shifted the blame to “systemic racism” and promises of “revolution.”

That students at schools such as William Kelley could depart virtually bereft of basic literacy is a tragedy for them and a shame for the teachers and adults promising to “plant the seeds for a new world.” They have condemned their students to join the ranks of the more than half of all adult Philadelphians who are “functionally illiterate.”

One teacher at William Kelley, who requested anonymity out of fear of reprisals, expressed deep pessimism about the future of public education: “I’ve come to realize that no policy hurts African-Americans more than the public school system and the teachers’ union.” The teacher is right. In absolute terms, the numbers are demoralizing. The School District of Philadelphia has 18,000 employees and a $3.4 billion annual budget—and fails, year after year, to teach the basics of “reading, writing, and arithmetic.” As it turns out, education is hard; political fantasy is a useful diversion.

Illinois college professors gush about teaching social justice on Zoom: 'I'm living the life over here'

www.foxnews.com

Two Chicago-based professors were caught gushing about teaching social justice in the classroom during a school board meeting held via Zoom in February.

Roosevelt University Professors Ralph Martire and Gina Harris, who also serve on the Oak Park and River Forest High School school board, discussed using social justice to "organize society," as local publication West Cook News first reported this week.

"I mean, it's all social justice. All day, every day I get to talk about all the things I love," Harris told Martire during the recorded meeting after he inquired about her new position at the university -- an adjunct professor of "Educator Preparation, specializing in racial equity and middle school teaching," according to her LinkedIn profile.

"I mean, really, I'm living the life over here," she added.

Martire said he "always flips out at kids" who take his "master's class on fiscal policy and public budgets."

"The first three or four classes are devoted to philosophy of social justice and how you organize society," he explained to Harris. "We don't talk about one, you know, budgetary item. They're like, 'Oh, man. Professor Martire, this is a really weird way to teach a budget.'"

"Now it's part of everything, right?" Harris said of social justice.

Martire responded: "If you don't understand your values, you can't allocate resources among public priorities that are scarce, but all needed. Right?"

Another person on the Zoom meeting then informs the two professors and school board members that they are "on the mic" in an auditorium, to which Harris responds: "We're okay with that."

Roosevelt University Vice President of Marketing Nicole Barron told Fox News in a statement that the school has supported "social justice and inclusion" since its founding.

"A recent article targets two Roosevelt University faculty members for teaching social justice concepts," Barron said. "Since our founding in 1945, social justice and inclusion have been core tenets of the Roosevelt University mission. Our faculty members often incorporate social justice values into their course work while respecting different perspectives and experiences."

Barron added that the university stands by its "faculty members and their commitment to equity and social consciousness in the classroom."

Harris is a "culture and climate coach" at Oak Grove Elementary, and Martire is the executive director of a "bipartisan" economic think-tank called the Center for Tax and Budget Accountability, which is funded by Illinois public union employees, as the West Cook News first reported.

Harris also works within the Illinois Education Association -- a state affiliate of the nation's largest teachers' union, the National Education Association (NEA) -- and as a liaison officer for the NEA.

Neither Harris nor Martire returned Fox News' requests for comment.

Lennie Jarratt, project manager at the Center for Transforming Education at The Heartland Institute, told the West Cook News there may be conflicts of interest in involving union-funded employees in school-board decisions.

"The practice of electing not only teacher union members but retired superintendents and family members to school boards is becoming a common practice in Illinois," Jarratt told the outlet. "And it presents a very high conflict of interest in board decisions and negotiations. Not only does it encourage above-normal pay increases and benefits. It allows corruption and nepotism to flourish."

Twitter Users Celebrate Gay 'Arthur' Couple’s 2nd Wedding Anniversary

m.huffpost.com

There was an important anniversary in the annals of animated nuptials this week: the wedding between “Arthur” characters Mr. Rathburn and his spouse, Patrick.

Although the script did not explicitly acknowledge that the ceremony involved two male characters, the episode titled “Mr. Ratburn & the Special Someone” was controversial when it aired two years ago.

A number of conservative pundits and right-wing groups lambasted the PBS series, and Alabama Public Television reportedly refused to broadcast the episode.

“Arthur” creator Marc Brown said he was disappointed by the negative reactions, and that the decision to portray a same-sex marriage on a kids show was a way of making all viewers feel represented.

“Why shouldn’t their teacher marry another man? We all know people who are gay, who are trans, and it’s something that is socially acceptable,” Brown said. “Why is there this discomfort that it takes a leap into our national media?”

The show celebrated the anniversary by asking Twitter users to send well-wishes to the happy animated couple.

Oregon paid $50K for '1619' events where founder criticized colorblindness, said US never met founding ideals

www.foxnews.com

The Oregon Department of Education (ODE) doled out at least $50,000 for student- and teacher-designated events in which 1619 Project founder Nikole Hannah-Jones claimed, among other things, that America never lived up to its founding ideals and that Black Americans were the actual founding fathers.

ODE confirmed to Fox News on Tuesday that it paid the money to Hannah-Jones' speaking agency, Lavin, defending the 1619 Project as part of its mission to center Black student experiences. The sum included $25,000 each for two speaking engagements – one of which was broken into two separate events on the same day. In hosting the event, ODE partnered with the Oregon Alliance of Black School Educators (OABSE).

A student-designated event last week included Jones suggesting people couldn't understand President Trump's election or the Republican Party's activities without her perspective on slavery. During that session, she added that the legacy of slavery led to Derek Chauvin thinking he could get away with killing a Black man, George Floyd, on camera.

In a subsequent talk to teachers, she claimed that Black Americans were the nation's "founding fathers" and that they were the "most American of all." Video obtained by Fox News shows Hannah-Jones asserting that history was "really about power," that critics of her project are trying to maintain power, and that Black children can't be treated the same as White students in schools because colorblindness is unrealistic.

The sessions highlighted the beliefs behind a project that is being promoted in schools across the nation. Jones has repeatedly maintained that her project is a supplement for existing curricula and that no one is forced to use it. Still, many have expressed concerns about its historical accuracy and the types of ideas it promotes to children.

ODE Communications Director Marc Siegel defended the 1619 Project in a statement to Fox News.

"The pursuit of equity in education is trying to realize foundational commitments to belonging, the idea of ‘liberty and justice for all,’ and making sure the 'we' in 'We the People' is big and truly does include each and every student and family in the community," said Siegel.

"The experiences of Black students and families can and must be centered in our state, including the fullness of Black histories and Black futures. ODE sponsored discussions with Nikole Hannah-Jones as a critically acclaimed lead writer of ‘The 1619 Project’ in service of meeting these needs. The 1619 Project is an ongoing initiative from the New York Times that reframes the Black experience in American history and is a valuable resource."

Hannah-Jones: BLM exists because America has never lived up to its founding ideals

Chris Riser, an Oregon teacher who was reportedly suspended for a Black Lives Matter walkout, had asked Jones during the student-designated event why the facts in her project were important for students of European descent.

Hannah-Jones responded, in part, by saying that "what we call American history is really White history with a little bit of other people sprinkled in – but mostly to explain why White people have done what they do."

The "standard" history taught in American schools, Hannah-Jones said, depicted a "country that doesn't actually exist. It's a country that erases all of these other people who were here."

She added: "And when you're talking specifically about Black Americans, so much of how our country would develop was because of slavery and the anti-Blackness that arose to really justify slavery … it influences the Declaration [of Independence]. The original version of the Declaration of Independence actually talks about slavery and really blames slavery on the king of Britain. It influences our Constitution, it influences our Supreme Court, our legal system. So, when we teach this as a separate history, we actually are not equipping students to understand the country in which we live. We are equipping students to understand a country that I guess some people would like to pretend that we have, but not the actual country."

Hannah-Jones went on to argue that Black Americans and White responses to them both shaped American culture "in many ways, and that is why this history is important for all Americans to learn."

"If you want to understand how does a White minority believe that the last election's illegitimate and actually ransack and lead an insurrection on the American Capitol, you have to understand the history of Black people in this country. And without that, you actually can't explain the election of Donald Trump, you can't explain what's happening in the Republican Party right now, and you can't explain the insurrection, you can't explain what happened to George Floyd – like you can't explain any of that with the history that we're being taught."

Riser responded by agreeing with her assertion about Floyd and asking why the Black Lives Matter (BLM) movement is a "teachable moment for children and youth today."

Hannah-Jones told Riser that the reason BLM "has to exist is because our country has never lived up to its founding ideals. In fact, those tensions that come into play since 1619, the tension between a country – because what we also don't learn is that the first kind of … democracy for White people begins in 1619 as well. That's when the colonists hold the first vote on this soil as opposed to being dictated to from Britain. So, we have both this burgeoning democracy and this burgeoning slavery that begin both in 1619, and those tensions are tensions that we grapple with even now. And those tensions are what we see when we see that a White law enforcement officer actually believes that he can kill a Black man in the street while it's being filmed and that he will not bear consequence for that."

"That is the legacy of 1619," Hannah-Jones added, as Riser nodded his head in agreement. "That is the legacy that that moment puts into play."

Hannah-Jones: Black Americans are the real founding fathers

Throughout this session and the one with parents, Hannah-Jones described history as a function of power. Her project, she said, was about "narrative" and "memory," and was designed as an "argument" for students to assess.

The "curated facts," which she said were taught in schools, were what "people in power decided to tell us."

Opposition to her project wasn't about history but rather about maintaining power, she told teachers.

"When I said what would it mean to think about America as 1619 as our origins, not 1776? And how would thinking about our origins as being slavery and not freedom fundamentally shift the way that we understand our country? That's very powerful but that's also very frightening to people who need to believe in this idea of exceptionalism … History is – and I mean history not history in this happened on this date by this person, but history in our understanding of what happened in the past – is really about power," she said.

"It's always been about power, and folks have not had to share that power in this way, and when you look at all of the opposition to this project, it's not about the facts of history, it's about who has always had the power to shape the narrative and not wanting to give that power up – and that you have a fundamentally different understanding of this country if you talk about this country through the lens of slavery and Black people than you do if you talk about it through White people and freedom."

She similarly criticized anti-CRT laws as an attempt to further a narrative of American greatness.

"If you read the text of the anti-1619, anti-critical race theory laws, they're not camouflaging at all what those laws are about," she said.

"What they're saying is not we don’t want the facts of history taught. What they're saying is, our students are need to learn a patriotic history. You know, we don't need to spend all this time on these divisive things that happened in the past. We need to teach a history that is about unity and the narrative of American greatness.

"That's about memory … we intentionally are being told that we have to forget these ugly parts of our history because they're too hard and they don't jive with the idea of America that we want to believe. That's not an argument about facts, and that's not an argument about history. That's an argument about saying we only want to present to our children a very sanitized, patriotic version of history."

Hannah-Jones added that her opening essay for the 1619 Project was the "most patriotic" thing she'd ever written. "It was accidentally patriotic, and that's not an essay saying we should hate America, or America should not exist. It's actually saying Black people are the most American of all, that we are this nation's founding fathers, and that we have a right and should claim the flag inherited of the country that we built."

The 1619 Project similarly reads: "My father … knew what it would take me years to understand: that the year 1619 is as important to the American story as 1776. That black Americans, as much as those men cast in alabaster in the nation’s capital, are this nation’s true ‘founding fathers.’ And that no people has a greater claim to that flag than us."

During last week's webinar, Hannah-Jones added: "So, you realize that when they're saying it's anti-patriotic, what they're really saying is that patriotism must be defined one, by Whiteness, and two, by an unquestioning, uncritical, flag-pin wearing, superficial valorization of our country no matter its ills – which I don't think is patriotism."

Oregon DOE comes under fire for racial curricula

Last week's webinar once again put a spotlight on a state that has come under fire for promoting controversial ideas about race and identity.

Fox News previously reported on ODE's embrace of a teacher training program that critiqued objectivity in math and argued White supremacy manifested itself in a focus on finding the right answer.

More recently, theBeaverton School District received attention for a Zoom equity training in which a teacher suggested that others didn't belong there if they didn't embrace certain ideas about racism. Multiple teachers, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, told Fox News they felt fear and intimidation surrounding the issue in the school district.

Jeanette Schade, a former school board candidate in Beaverton, told Fox News that Hannah-Jones' work "should not be anywhere near children as it is filled with inaccuracies and her personal opinion." In another email, Schade told Fox News "our constitutional republic is eroding quickly with garbage like this!"

Hannah-Jones' highly controversial project won her a Pulitzer and praise from many. Still, some historians and politicians have argued that she distorted the truth of America's founding.

WHAT IS CRITICAL RACE THEORY?

Many have described CRT and diversity trainings as actual racism in that they suggest Whiteness and Blackness are associated with certain traits. Defenders have argued that CRT and related trainings help to address underlying structures of racism and root out implicit bias against minorities.

During last week's event, Hannah-Jones derided attempts at colorblindness, arguing that Black students shouldn't be treated the same. She was responding to a question from a White school counselor at a predominantly White school.

"We're told that we're supposed to be colorblind and treat all students the same, but when you are a racial minority in an institution that is not built for you, you can't actually be treated exactly the same," she said.

"There needs to be an acknowledgement that this is a more difficult situation for you, that this can be an uncomfortable or challenging, that you need additional support and that's OK to acknowledge that."

In Hannah-Jones' first ODE-sponsored event, a Portland State University professor claimed slavery never ended and that Oregonians needed to give back indigenous land.

"One of the things that is really important I think is to not frame slavery as a legacy but as it’s still here. Its legacy suggests that it’s over and there’s some remnants of it moving forward," said Black Studies Chair Ethan Johnson.

"And I would suggest that, no, slavery is right here, and I think one of the problems that we get caught up in is that we say slavery is kind of relegated to this idea of working for free, right? And I think that’s really problematic -- at least that’s the dominant ways that we think about it." He added that slavery played out in other ways, such as a lack of honor for Black people and the state allegedly taking away children because of the color of Black parents' skin.

Portland State told Fox News it "is committed to academic freedom and free speech. We respect and support the right of faculty, staff and students to share their views on any platform they choose."

In lengthy statements to Fox News, ODE defended each of the webinars.
