Charging an EV will be expensive enough from at home .... But, you're a suburbanite living in an apartment building? Trailer/Caravan Park? Then you cannot charge your EV from home. You'll need to use even higher costing public access charging.

Frightened of breakdowns? You could tow a diesel generator with you everywhere you go.
