well i have a pretty good knowledge and history with firearms..had an sks and it was a bulletproof(so to speak)weapon..i gave it hell and it wouldnt stop..so on that experience id say AK for certain.

Basically, as Brother Jamie alluded to, the AK is foolproof. Any mud can wield it and cause maximum damage with minimal damage to the weapon itself. The proof is in more than fifty years of use by guerillas (pun intended). The AR just does not have that history, and I suspect that it's a much easier weapon to break.

For you Brother Jim, it really depends on your intended use as to what the weapon is best suited to. Do you need a rugged, no nonsense firearm with an easily obtainable supply of ammunition? Or do you want to have something you can flash at the gun range and show the other gun fanciers that you can be an upmarket purveyor of firearms?

The two guns in the {deleted} pic are my guns. I agree with y'all both 100%. The AK is the best all around gun and bullets are easy to come bye. The AR is a good gun also but it has jammed a few times (the AK had NEVER jammed) and you are right the AR has a good "show or talking" point to other shooters.

It's always interesting to read what American "gun nuts" say about their guns. In Australia "Gun nuts" don't really exist.. and there is no way you can access those weapons legally here.
