Churchill Urged America to Nuke Russia to Win Cold War, Secret FBI Memo Reveals



Winston Churchill urged the United States to launch a nuclear  attack on the Soviet Union to win the Cold War, a newly released  document reveals.

The previously unseen memorandum from the FBI archives details how  Britain's wartime leader made his views known to a visiting American  politician in 1947. Churchill believed a pre-emptive strike on Stalin might be the only way to stop Russia conquering the West. The note, written by an FBI agent, reports that Churchill urged  Right-wing Republican Senator Styles Bridges to persuade President Harry  Truman to launch a nuclear attack which would 'wipe out' the Kremlin  and make the Soviet Union a 'very easy problem' to deal with.

The Russians would have been defenceless against a nuclear attack at that time – they did not successfully test their own atomic bomb until 1949. Britain and the Soviet Union had been allies in the Second World War  until 1945... and in 1946 made a famous speech in Fulton,  Missouri, about an 'iron curtain' having descended across Europe as  Joseph Stalin consolidated his grip on the eastern half of the  continent.

He had no qualms about eliminating millions of civilians

The FBI document shows Churchill's belligerence towards Britain's former wartime ally ran so deep that he was prepared to tolerate the deaths of hundreds of thousands of Russian civilians in a nuclear strike. The memo claims Churchill 'stated that the only salvation for the  civilisation of the world would be if the President of the United States  would declare Russia to be imperilling world peace and attack Russia'.

The note continues: 'He pointed out that if an atomic bomb could be  dropped on the Kremlin, wiping it out, it would be a very easy problem  to handle the balance of Russia, which would be without direction. 'Churchill further stated that if this was not done, Russia will  attack the United States in the next two or three years when she gets  the atomic bomb and civilisation will be wiped out or set back many  years.' The memo is published for the first time in a book called When Lions  Roar: The Churchills And The Kennedys, by Thomas Maier.

Sir Winston Churchill made the dozens of offers by Uncle Adolf of Peace with Britain and the Empire a state secret, while libelling Adolf as a war-monger in Parliament.

Churchill wanted the war to continue with a thrust into Russia to defeat Communism. In fact, at the beginning of the war, Churchill wanted to go to war with both Germany and Russia to save Poland. However, he was not Prime Monster at that time - that was Neville Chamberlain, who later stepped down. In the end, Britain went to war only against Germany to save Poland, and then handed over Poland to Russia.

Churchill was lucky he didn't go the way of Patten. Instead, he was re-elected as PM in the 1950's.

And lastly, during the war, Churchill was such a dictator, there was a plan to oust Churchill and replace him with then current Australian Prime Minister, Robert Menzies. Why? Because PM Bob was the only one that had the balls to stand up to Churchill. And legally, anyone voted in as PM in the British Empire could be thrust in as PM of the UK.

Edit: Buggered if I know. I don't know why, but that's how it was. It wouldn't work in Australia, Canada or NZ, because we have modern constitutions all based on the US Constitution. Britain, however, does not have a constitution or set rules for governing a nation. Everything is based on custom and precedence - and you know that is how American, Australian, Canadian and NZ law systems work; just like the British, from where all of our legal and parliamentary systems derive. No matter whether right or wrong, or how crazy ... Now you know why they say the law is an ass.

Churchill was a chain smoking, fat greasy alcoholic with severe depression. He slept all day and got off on having meetings while naked and drunk, playing Find the U-Boat in his bath. Adolf used to deliberately irritate guests at meetings by refusing to allow them to drink or smoke - it was a tactic to get what he wanted. Churchill infuriated his guests with his drunken baths. Then rehashing his failed WWI exploits with WWII failures. This is a man that was willing to sacrifice the world to the Yella Peril of the Jap Menace. All in order to beat up a European political rival that dared to stand up after his nation had been severely thrashed in the aftermath of war - in the global political machinations that were 1919.

Churchill brought nothing to the world, and gave nothing to the world. When all history is accounted for, at least Hitler saved EurAsia from eternal slavery under Stalin's Red Empire. No wonder the Neo-Marxists hate Churchill so.

That night at 9:00 p.m., Churchill repeated his speech almost word for word, this time on BBC radio. An estimated 60 percent of the British people listened to the broadcast.

Churchill's delivery left a lot to be desired. He spoke the entire time with a cigar in his mouth, leaving some of his listeners to conclude he was drunk.

Yes, he was drunk and someone else had to repeat the quote.  So while Britain's youngsters were fighting a war, Churchill was busy getting drunk.

Churchill did not broadcast the speech...

Rather, he gave it in the House of Commons, beginning at 3.40 pm and sitting down at 4.14. By contrast with some later occasions – notably his 'finest hour' speech of 18 June – he did not repeat it over the airwaves that evening. The thought simply does not seem to have occurred to him or to anyone else. Instead, a BBC announcer read sections of it during the nightly news. You have, of course, heard him delivering it, but he did not make that recording until 1949, when he was persuaded to do so for the benefit of posterity.

Few people, when they hear the speech on radio or TV documentaries, are aware that they are listening to Churchill speaking not in 1940 but nine years later.

Strangely, though, there is a popular myth that the speech was broadcast at the time, not by Churchill himself, but by an actor, Norman Shelley.  He never claimed to have impersonated the Prime Minister over the airwaves, and though many historians have pointed out that the story is false, it seems impossible to kill it.
