This is worldwide, the Chinese own masses of land in the USA, the American government has allowed it.

A Chinese propagandist has sparked outrage after claiming the superpower should take control of Australia, in part due to its colonial past

The furore began when the China hawk, who goes by the name 'BeijingDai', shared a map to social media on Saturday with Australia labelled as a 'Chinese vassal state'.

New Zealand, Myanmar and the Solomon Islands would be given the same classification under the plans, while much of south-east Asia would fall under 'China's sphere of influence.

The self-described China 'patriot' said occupation of Australia would be a cost-effective alternative to direct occupation of the entire south-east Asian region.

'Southeast Asia has a huge population. If China conquers them, it will need to need them and develop them. This is a super hard task,' he wrote on social media.

He added: 'However, annexing Australia is a very cost-effective deal.'

'Australia has over seven million kilometres of land and abundant resources, but its population is even smaller than that of Shanghai.'

He claimed Australia's colonial history would make Chinese occupation not just cost-effective, but morally defensible.

'Moreover, Australia, as a country was built on the basis of genocide of the local population, which lacks morality and legitimacy,' he wrote.

'In Chinese values, the downfall of such a country is predetermined.'

The post, which had attracted nearly 500,000 views as of Tuesday morning, sparked outrage from viewers.

'If China invaded Australia, it would have the whole world coming back at them,' one user wrote.

'China may have a military force worthy now,but could they take on every country's military that is allies with Australia.

'Despite what the propagandists may tell you, China is barely holding itself together,' another wrote.

While the post says nothing of China's actual intentions, strategic defence expert Michael Shoebridge said it speaks to the fervour of Chinese propaganda.

'These ideas and posts are not serious proposals about China occupying Australia,' Mr Shoebridge told the Daily Mail.

'They seem much more to be some nasty byproducts of the fervent, aggressive and loud version of nationalism taught to the Chinese people through the Communist Party-directed education system.'

Australia's uneasy relationship with its largest trading partner has come under increasing scrutiny in recent weeks, following a risky intercept of an Australian aircraft by a Chinese fighter plane.

Last month, a Chinese fighter jet released flares close to a Royal Australian Air Force plane in international airspace over the South China Sea.

It triggered a war of words between the two countries, with Australia lodging a diplomatic protest over the unsafe and unprofessional' act while China accused Australia of 'illegally intruding' its airspace.

It sparked comparisons to a naval flare-up in February, when a Chinese taskforce conducted a live-firing drill in the Tasman Sea without warning before circumnavigating Australia's coastline.

Some experts claim a regional conflict involving Australia and China is increasingly likely, with Taiwan among several potential flashpoints.

Australian Strategic Policy Institute analyst Malcolm Davis recently put the odds of China invading Taiwan within three years at 50 per cent.

An invasion of Taiwan would force Australia and its allies to decide whether to come to the island's defence, expanding the incursion into a broader conflict.

Jennifer Parker, expert associate at ANU's National Security College, believes the costs of a regional conflict to Australian life would be devastating.

'I think we need to say that the chances of conflict in this region are increasingly likely,' she told ABC's Four Corners program on Monday.

'We are likely to experience significant loss of life if there was a conflict of not only ADF personnel but civilian population.

&er Next to our water shortage problem, I'd say China is the biggest problem we have! Australia is a good country but because of these two issues it wouldn't be ideal for the future of our race long term.

A controversial image was shared by a Chinese official depicting an Australian soldier holding a knife to the throat of a child, which sparked outrage in Australia. The image was created in response to allegations of war crimes committed by Australian soldiers in Afghanistan and was labelled "repugnant" by Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison.

In response I did my own version with a Gook holding a slant-eyed kid with a knife at its throat ... You can see the picture yourself. I must have angered China because they sent around the local police anti-terror squad to grill me. No charges, just pestering, and the odd accusation that the QR Code in the bottom left was my attempt to interfere with Australia's useless Covid restrictions. They'll fling any old shit at you in order to see what sticks.

Australia quietly helping China's military build-up by supplying missile mineral

https://www.noticer.news/australia-china-critical-mineral-zirconium-nuclear-missile

Excerpt: Australia is supplying China with a critical mineral vital to Beijing's hypersonic missile and nuclear programs, sparking warnings from military experts.

China hold just 0.7% of the world's zirconium, used in hypersonic missiles, jet engines and to wrap nuclear fuel rods, and 41% of its imports come from Australia, including from the government-subsidised Thunderbird mine in Western Australia, which is 50% Chinese-owned and sells all its production to China.

Another Western Australian mining company, Image Resources, also supplies China with 100% of its zirconium, and has Chinese government-linked LB Group as its largest shareholder, and, through a subsidiary, its largest customer.

Australia could face devastating attacks on its cities and onshore infrastructure if an increasingly likely war with China broke out, a leading military analyst has claimed.

Jennifer Parker, a former naval officer and expert associate at the Australian National University, warned that conflict in the Indo-Pacific would likely reach Australian soil if it ever breaks out.

'This is what Australians need to grapple with... we've gotten into this viewpoint that war is something where we've seen people to the other side of the world to fight as part of somebody else's operation.

That is not what an Indo-Pacific conflict looks like. An Indo-Pacific conflict looks like fighting from Australia,' she said. 'That means that Australia is going to be targeted.'

Parker said there were many potential flashpoints for a conflict involving China and Australia, including territorial disputes in the South China Sea and an attempted reunification with Taiwan.

'Xi Jinping has said a number of times, in number of different forms, that he sees Taiwan as an inalienable part of China,' she said.

'He sees the reunification of Taiwan as a core interest.

'In the event of a military attack and invasion, I think that we would have a regional conflict on our hands instantly.

Parker said China could target surrounding nations including Japan and the Philippines if it launched an invasion of Taiwan, forcing Australia to defend its allies.

'So in that scenario, I think Australia would have to be involved.'

China's hypersonic missiles are said to be capable of striking military bases or naval assets within minutes, travelling at more than five times the speed of sound and manoeuvring mid-flight to evade missile defences.

Australia's north would be the most exposed if China ever decided to strike.

'If it's a land based missile, then, with the exception of a new missile they're developing... it is probably only northern.

'They do have a missile called the DF 27 that could technically hit Sydney. It's not clear how effective it is, but you could also target the southern parts of Australia with missiles from aircraft, submarines and ships.'

The warning comes after the Australian government announced last year it would spend up to $18billion upgrading military bases across the country's north to counter the threat of China.

The five bases, stretching from Western Australia to Queensland, would likely form the 'front line' of a conflict, chosen for their proximity to the South China Sea.

It came after a strategic review found Australia's geographic isolation was no longer a significant defensive advantage due to advancements in long-range warfare.

The Defence Strategic Review concluded Australia found itself in the 'most challenging strategic circumstances since World War II'.

Despite the investment, Parker said Australia's defences remained inadequate.

'We have a range of significant weaknesses. I would say that the state of our navy capability right now is a huge issue,' Parker said.

'Our current ships and submarines, with the exception of their Hobart-class destroyers and LHDs were all commissioned in the 90s, early 2000s. They should be getting replaced. Although there are plans in place, this won't start til the 2029-2030s'.

'As an island nation, we know land borders, our biggest vulnerability is the maritime domain... because we import everything, and so you don't have to actually set a foot on Australia, or lob a missile in Australia to make Australia capitulate.

'All you would have to do is intercept our fuel, our ammunition, our fertiliser, or other critical seaborne supply, all of those things across the maritime domain.

Australia's missile defence capacity is equally under-invested, Parker said.

While the country's northern military bases are its first line of defence, Parker warned southern sites could also be vulnerable.

'They will be targeted,' she said. 'We shouldn't underestimate the importance of protecting infrastructure to the south as well.'

She said China's long-term military build-up had made it a formidable global power.

'They've been modernizing their military for the last 30 years,' Parker said.

'They've always had a big military, but what has changed is the shift in towards the focus of that military, so focusing more on a rocket force, and they have rapidly developed a large range and breadth of different types of ballistic, cruise and hypersonic missiles.'

China is also rapidly investing in nuclear weapons and delivery systems as well as substantially expanding their naval force.

'They've had a lot of ships historically, but they were generally coastal ships and not great ones,' she said. 'Now they have some of the most modern in the world'.

'In fact, they have over 370 battle force ships, so fighting ships. Out of those 370, about 70 per cent were built in the last ten years.

'And that's just a taste of the capabilities that China has. They are a very formidable force.
