The national president of the Comanchero bikie gang has been arrested, as police scramble to contain Sydney's spiralling bikie violence.
Mark Buddle is being questioned at Maroubra Police Station for an alleged breach of parole.
Buddle was released from jail earlier this year after serving about five months over a brawl at a pub.
Police have been investigating the Comanchero bikie gang for two murders and an attempted murder in the past month.
Meanwhile, NSW Police this week raided and shut down three bikie clubhouses, including a Comanchero club at Turella, in Sydney's south.
Wednesday's raid was followed on Thursday by raids on Hells Angels clubhouses at Haymarket in the CBD and Annandale in the inner west.
Police say they found evidence of illegal alcohol sales at all three premises.
The occupiers of all three buildings will be issued with breaches under the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act.
Commander of the Gangs Squad, Detective Superintendent Arthur Katsogiannis, says police will keep the pressure on.
"As long as some people within these gangs want to carry out criminal acts or allow their violent conflicts to be aired in public, we will be there to disrupt their day-to-day activities," he said about the raids.
Police say the raids are unrelated to a fatal shooting earlier this week.
Bassil Hijazi, 18, who was killed at Bexley on Monday night, had links to the Turrella clubhouse.

A new bikies-only jail won't breach human rights conventions but inmates will do it tough, the Queensland government says.

It has announced plans for a 'super jail' north of Brisbane for bikie criminals, who will be confined to their cells for up to 23 hours a day.

Inmates will face increased drug testing and frequent cell searches. Calls to anyone but lawyers will be monitored, and mail will be opened and censored.

They will be banned from having TVs and using gym equipment while family visits will be severely restricted.

Newly-sentenced bikies will do their time at the facility, at the Woodford Correctional Centre, alongside others who will be transferred there from other jails.


Fantastic!   How are they going to define what a "bikie "is? So if some one who rides a Vespa commits an offence they can go to Gaol here? Or if somebody is involved in an organisation the cops and Pollies don't like that person could be a "gangster" for this Gaol?

They already use the so-called "anti-bikie" laws against some street gangs and there are calls by politicians and do-gooders to use the same laws against all "Nazis." Who determines what is a "Nazi" Who determines what is "racist" The answer is ... anyone with an agenda and a grudge, and you happen to be White and on the receiving end.

The laws being rushed through state parliament will hand bikies engaging in serious criminal activity such as murder or dangerous drug possession - or just thinking outside the politically correct sphere ~ Cailen - an extra 15 years of mandatory jail time.

The penalties for bikie gang office bearers are even harsher: an extra 25 years on top of their initial sentence.

I know how these bastards think. And why has this and does this happen to me? I know that these laws mean that I will end my life dumped in a special prison amongst a pack of Rag-Heads playing at being bikers. My crime will probably be Jay Walking with an extra 25 years lumped onto the sentence.
