Stanley Obi, 33, didn't plan on seeing Sarah Mudge again after they spent the night together after a Christmas party in late 2017, until she told him she was going to have his baby

He was conflicted and did not know what to do,' Mr Obi's friend Shaun Meakin told Daily Mail Australia.

At 2.55am on Thursday morning, the mother-of-four broke into the home he shared with his new girlfriend in New Beith, in Brisbane's southern suburbs, poured fuel all over the couple and set them alight - while her children slept in the next room.

Mr Obi managed to take one of his children who was sleeping next to him at the time to safety while flames engulfed him.

Mr Meakin said the relationship fell apart because Mudge, 30, wanted six more children, and gave Mr Obi the option of leaving - claiming he was nothing more than a sperm donor and that she would find a way to have more kids regardless.

And Daily Mail Australia can now reveal that Mudge was actively actively looking for an 'African, Polynesian or First nations sperm donor' in June last year - just months after their relationship ended.

A member of the group told Daily Mail Australia that her post set off alarm bells with donors in the group because she seemed to want kids 'to fill in some void in her life'.

They said donors were wary of her because they didn't feel she could provide the adequate support for her children.

According to a fundraiser set up by Mr Obi's family, the mother-of-four's burning rampage was triggered when she lost access to three of her children during a court hearing on Wednesday

Mudge died in the blaze while a brave neighbour named Al dragged Mr Obi's  burning body from the wreckage.

He was raced to Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital in a critical condition with burns to 90 per cent of his body, but he sadly died just before 10pm on Thursday - leaving their two little girls orphaned, and her other two kids without a mum.

Mr Obi's new girlfriend, 30, managed to escape the burning home with the kids - aged five, three and two.
