Australian Prime Minister: All School Students to Study an Asian Language

Prime Minister Julia Gillard wants  every school student in Australia learning an Asian language.

In a move to ensure we are prepared for the 'Asian Century', Ms Gillard wants to improve links with the continent.

Julia Gillard says she wants every child to have the opportunity to learn either Mandarin, Hindi, Japanese or Indonesian by 2025 and every school should be linked to a school in Asia.

I remember once seeing Australia and New Zealand being classified as part of the continent of Asia instead of the correct geographical territory the continent of  "Oceania"
