FORMER AFL player Liam Jurrah has been ordered back to Yuendumu after having been granted bail for three alleged assaults on women.
Mr Jurrah, 24, has spent at least a month in custody after his first bid for bail was abandoned. But magistrate David Bamber granted the ex-Melbourne Demons forward his freedom on the condition he live in his hometown, report to police and not drink alcohol. He is also banned from speaking with any witnesses.

Mr Jurrah has been charged with three counts of aggravated assault and one count of unlawfully causing serious harm after he allegedly attacked three women outside a 24-hour service station in Alice Springs in March. Another man, Mathius Walker, has also been charged over the alleged incident.

Allegations of assault have emerged from an Aboriginal boarding school at Alice Springs.
Northern Territory Police, Worksafe NT and the Lutheran Church Schools Association have confirmed they have investigated incidents at Yirara College.
The College is a boarding school for Aboriginal secondary students from remote communities across the Territory.
Set up in the 1970s, it is run by the Finke River Mission, a body of the Lutheran Church of Australia.
NT Lutheran Church Schools Association executive director John Proeve says the church referred a complaint to police.
"We are still awaiting the outcome of that and, certainly when receiving any further details, we will then obviously take appropriate action," he said.
Police have confirmed they are investigating an incident at the college, which was reported to them earlier this month.
Officers say they also investigated another matter at Yirara College, which resulted in a juvenile being dealt with under the youth justice system.
Worksafe NT is also investigating the school after it received notification a teacher was injured in March.
Worksafe says the teacher was hurt while intervening in a fight between two students.

A youth service says the Federal Government should force all service stations in Tennant Creek to stock low aromatic fuel.
The Central Australian Youth Link Up Service says there has been a spike in the number young people sniffing petrol in the Barkly region.
In February, the Low Aromatic Fuel Act gave the Federal Government the power to prescribe areas where the fuel must be stocked.
The service's Blair McFarland says the Government needs to use the power in Tennant Creek.
"The cost to the taxpayer of sniffing in 2005 in this region, not the whole of Australia, just in this region in the centre, was $78 million," he said.
"There is an awful lot of cost associated with those few petrol stations exercising their choice to not stock Opal or a low aromatic fuel."

A "DANGEROUS" fugitive - wanted over alleged sex, drug and property crimes - has been arrested at a caravan park in a Territory town.
Graham Michael Cowen was cuffed after detectives and uniformed cops surrounded the property, at Katherine, about 11am today.
Superintendent Megan Rowe said the man remained in custody and was helping police with the investigation.

A MAN has had a lucky escape after he crashed into a power pole while avoiding a rock thrower in Darwin.
Watch Commander Greg Pusterla said the man was driving along Trower Rd when he swerved to avoid a rock thrown at his car at the intersection with Bradshaw Tce about 12.45am.
He then hit the pole.
"The man then got out of the car and chased the offender into a block of units," Sen-Sgt Pusterla said.
The offender is described as an overweight male wearing blue jeans and no shirt.



Who else but an Abbo would throw rocks at cars in the early hrs of the morning,reside in DARWIN be fat and live in flats?

A VICTIM of a Smithfield home invasion overnight has fought back, stabbing one of three armed men who had stormed into his house.                                       
About 11.45pm last night, police were called to a house in Blackham Cres, after reports three men armed with knives and a blunt object had assaulted the victim and stolen jewellery and a mobile phone.
The resident allegedly fought back, stabbing one of the victims in the torso.
He also was injured and was taken to the Lyell McEwin Hospital for treatment of a stab wound to his arm.
A 2.30am, police went to the Modbury Hospital, where a man was being treated for stab wounds to his torso and hand.
Investigations continue to determine whether he was linked to the home invasion.
Neighbours said they heard screams and cries of help shortly after 12.30am in  Blackham Crs, the same street where a teenager was beaten and shot in the thigh in February for breaking into an adult book shop next to a tattoo parlour.

"I was was watching TV and I heard someone call out for help," resident Gerey Dawe said.

"It's pretty sad really - a bloke was shot here not long ago and the Snowtown house (previously occupied by former accused killer Mark Haydon and his murdered wife victim Elizabeth) is also on this street.

Mr Dawe said he knew the occupant of the house and he felt very sorry for anyone put in his situation.

"It's horrible," he said.

"It's sad that we have to protect ourselves in our own home.  (He's) a nice, quiet person. You don't have much choice when you're put in that situation.

"It's pretty sad that you can be in your own home and have three blokes come in with knives or whatever they had - it's three against one and the damage has been done."

A woman, believed to be the occupant's girlfriend, returned to the victim's home this morning, smashing a window and gaining access to the property before hurling abuse at media and taking off in a late model Nissan Skyline.

The three men involved in the home invasion are described as being of Aboriginal appearance. The first suspect was wearing a grey hooded jumper and dark coloured pants, and was aged in his late 20s.
