POLICE will allege that a 39-year-old intoxicated man struck a 42-year-old woman repeatedly with a metal bar in Alice Springs.
The man has been charged over the alleged incident at a residence in Little Sister Camp on Monday.
"The woman was taken to Alice Springs Hospital to receive treatment for her injuries. The offender was arrested by police a short time later," said Detective Superintendent Brent Warren.
The man, who has been charged with aggravated assault and armed with an offensive weapon at night, has been remanded in custody and will appear in Alice Springs Magistrates Court on 12 December.

A GOSNELLS store manager was attacked as he tried to stop thieves who had robbed a 94-year-old war veteran collecting money for his RSL.

The man was punched in the face and hit over the head with a handbag by two of the offenders as he chased after them following the robbery outside a supermarket on Albany Highway yesterday.The 94-year-old digger was also injured after he tried to stop the trio who allegedly stole his collection tin.Albert Passmore, who uses a wheelchair for assistance, was collecting donations when a young woman ran over to the table he was sitting at and allegedly grabbed a jar which he had been using to collect money.

A DARWIN mum stirred by the bashing death of Rick Dermody at Casuarina Square carpark has spoken for the first time about her family's own horrific ordeal when her pregnant daughter was brutally bashed by a gang of thugs.
The mother, who did not want family members named for fear of reprisals, said her daughter lost the child from the incident at Casuarina and immediately fled the Territory in fear.
She said her daughter and partner were walking toward the Woolworths car park about three years ago when they were set upon by a group of youths, who had earlier been told to "f**k off" by the partner when they demanded a cigarette.
The mother claimed the partner was pinned down while a young woman punched and kicked her and then stomped on her six-months pregnant belly.
The family reported the matter to police, but kept quiet at the insistence of the daughter, who was convinced the thugs would seek her out again.
The mother said her daughter, 19 at the time, flew to Queensland as soon as she was released from hospital and has been there since.  "She used to be a very outgoing person. Everything's changed," the mother said.
"She won't walk from the front door to the letter box - she can't go anywhere by herself ... she came back recently (from Queensland) to live but after a few weeks she had to leave because she was too scared."
Mr Dermody's death brought the family's grief back to the surface.
"When the poor bloke the other day died, it all came up again," she said.
"I said to her 'now this bloke's lost his life' and she said 'and I lost my daughter'. It's just got to stop."



Well who do you think in Darwin , would beg for a "ciggy" then proceed to not only assault a male, but make a deliberate effort for a woman to loose her child?
I am so tired of these dirty animals being given the world  and still behaving like they havn't come out of the trees yet! Then the authorities are scared of having a "stolen generation" if they grab them and throw them in missions!

POLICE are seeking witnesses after a 31-year-old man was allegedly assaulted along The Esplanade.
"Serious Crime Detectives are investigating an incident where a 31-year-old male intervened during a domestic disturbance whilst walking home along The Esplanade at 4.00 am," Detective Sergeant Karl Day said.   
Police said the victim was then surrounded by four males who king hit him in the jaw, kicked and punched him until fleeing the scene in a green Holden Commodore and a red Hyundai. 
"It is believed the offenders were earlier evicted from the Doubletree by Hilton and investigators are urging any witnesses or any member of the group evicted from the Doubletree to come forward," Det Sgt Day said.
"With the assistance of uniform members we have several leads on the ringleader of the attack and once all witnesses have been interviewed we will focus on locating and arresting the persons responsible."
The victim was transported to Royal Darwin Hospital and was later discharged.



What sort of person ( groups of people) in Darwin get shooed off from a hotel to  go hang out in a park and then belts people up?

POLICE have arrested teens - including a 13-year-old - over a series of alleged unlawful entries and thefts across Darwin and Alice Springs.
Detective Senior Sergeant Mark Stringer said the youths aged 14, 15, 16 and 18 years unlawfully entered three residences and stole three vehicles yesterday morning.   
"The males allegedly entered a residence in Jingili and stole electronic goods and a brand new Toyota Corolla.
"They then went to a Palmerston residence and allegedly unlawfully entered it. They allegedly stole electronic goods, handbags and wallets and a Holden Omega sedan before fleeing in both stolen cars.
"The youths then drove to a Marrara address where they allegedly unlawfully entered another residence. They stole two sets of car keys and a Honda Accord.   
"The three stolen vehicles were later recovered by police, two of them having been substantially damaged.     "Police executed a search warrant at a Wagaman address and located and seized 20 stolen mobile phones, laptop computers, cameras, credit cards, a credit card reader and small amount of cannabis."
They were arrested yesterday and charged with:  Aggravated Unlawful Use of Motor Vehicle (x3)  Aggravated Enter Dwelling with intent to commit crime (x3)  Stealing (x4)  Trespass on Enclosed Premises (x4).
The 14-year-old was bailed to appear in court today. The 15-year-old received Youth Diversion.
In Alice Springs, police have charged two male youths following a series of unlawful entries in Alice Springs yesterday.
Detective Superintendent Brent Warren said two youths aged 13, along with three co-offenders, allegedly unlawfully entered four residences in Braitling and stole electronic devices, car keys, Avanti bicycles, alcohol and jewellery.
"The youths were arrested at Charles Creek a short time later, still in possession of some of the stolen property. Police have recovered stolen property including an iPad, three Avanti bicycles and alcohol, valued at over $4,000."
The two youths have been charged with:  Unlawful entry (x4)  Stealing (x4)  Damage to property (x3)  Interfere with a motor vehicle.
"A 13-year-old was remanded in custody and will appear in Alice Springs Youth Justice Court today. The other 13-year-old will appear in court on 15 November 2013."



So where were their parents? probably down the local reserve sitting in a circle hollering and drinking a goon bag? We all know it is blackfellas from the places it happened and the type of crimes. This is a common occurance where teams of young boongs ramdnomly burgle. Lock them up and their parents so what if you get called "stolen generation" for doing it , these coons need some serious manners knocked into them!

A MAN'S dashcam has caught the moment a driver lost control on a Perth freeway and decided to take it out on the moving traffic - using his head.                                       
He can be seen headbutting several moving cars, smashing windows and throwing himself head first through the windscreens of others.
The shocking incident happened after the man crashed his Mazda ute into an unattended Volkswagen which was parked in the emergency lane of Kwinana Freeway in Perth.
Witnesses report the agitated man got out of his vehicle and ran into the oncoming traffic, jumping on the bonnets of some cars before smashing everything in sight.
The dramatic outburst forced traffic to stop and caused a major jam on the city highway.
Eye witnesses took to social media to report the incident, with one posting the dashcam footage of the man on YouTube.                       A police spokeswoman said inquiries are continuing into whether alcohol or drugs were involved.

The man is being assessed at Fremantle hospital.
