SOME Darwin cabbies have declared Karama, Kulaluk, Bagot and Minmarama Park on Dick Ward Drive no-go zones because of fears for their personal safety. 
 
All four areas have developed reputations among drivers as hot spots for rock throwing.

"Karama, we call that the ghetto," one driver told the NT News.

The revelation that drivers have unofficially boycotted the four areas comes after attacks last week on a bus and several cabs in Karama. A passenger suffered facial injures after a large rock was thrown through the window of a Vivo bus early on Wednesday morning on McMillans Rd in Karama.

Long-time Darwin taxi ­operator John Coady said McMillans Rd between Millner and Karama was a stretch of road where rock attacks were frequent. "I reckon in a lot of cases they're trying to smash the dome-light on the roof but they end up hitting the windows instead," Mr Coady said.

"It's just kids who are bored; they've got nothing better to do."

Another driver said rock throwers hid behind trees on McMillans Rd and disappeared into side streets or laneways after attacks on taxis.

"You've got to be very wary 24/7 anywhere around Karama, Kulaluk, Bagot and Minmarama.

"That's why some drivers just won't go there. When I get out that way I tell my passengers I'm putting up my ­windows for their protection and mine," the driver said.



"After they've done it they just go up alleyways; they've disappeared and you just can't find them."

The driver said during one attempted night-time attack, a man confronted his cab while standing in the middle of Dick Ward Drive holding what turned out to be a house brick.

He said the only way he could prevent the man from hurling the brick was to drive directly at him.

As he leapt from the path of the taxi, the man dropped the brick on the road.

Mr Coady said one rock ­attack had cost him $2500 in repairs and his vehicle was off the road for three days.

He said the attacker came at his cab when it was stopped at traffic lights at the intersection of Amy Johnston Drive and McMillans Rd.

The rock was so big the teenage attacker needed two hands to hold it. He slammed it through the windshield, damaging the front left-hand pillar supporting the roof of the ­vehicle, Mr Coady said.

Again.. who else in the community would do these kind of monkey crimes other than the Abos? Why oh why do people allow these creatures to breed?!

Probably because there is no room left in Gaol! They are making a new Gaol up here and it has a lot of faults. When there is a power outage the solenoid handwash basins and toilets won't instantly flush etc , the fans won't go there is some major work that has to be looked at fixing some of the Gaols up! The courts know this is a problem and give the boongs a slap on the wrist and .. what do you know they are out menacing people and property again.. and the bloody people up here ! They tollerate anything that is stupid and wrong.Then just accept that is how things are. Stupid hippy/Netherlands sort of mentality!

I mean fairdinkum! , who else would get a stolen ute, ram a cab driver 5 times , then once he is injured rob him and flee? Only a filthy coon wanting to play real life Grand theft Auto would do such a thing!

No, it's due to orders from the UN. A majority of coons in prison in any formerly White nation is an excuse to come down on that nation, regardless of the high degree of criminality by the resident black population. To do otherwise would bring about recognition that criminally violent behaviour is inherent in the black races - no matter their origins or their current place of abode.

A  MAN who touched the breasts of a woman while she was grocery shopping with her children has been sentenced to 12 months in jail. 
 
Christopher Ryan, 40, is already­ serving jail time for three aggravated assaults.

He was released on parole last year and spent three months in an alcohol rehabilitation facility. On the day of his release, he went straight to a Darwin pub and got drunk.

He then went to Coles on Mitchell St, where he indecently assaulted two women.

Prosecutor Tom Wallace-Pannell said Ryan walked up to a woman at the check-out and asked if he could look at the tattoo on her back.

"He ran his hands down her back just below her shoulder blades,'' he said.

Ryan then twice "touched her breasts over the top of her clothing" while her three children were standing obliviously behind her. The man then entered the store and hugged a female staff member.

Defence lawyer Shane McMaster described his client as a "sad, lonely, drunken pest" and "not a sexual predator".

"Old habits die hard,'' he said. "He couldn't resist, he went in and proceeded to get extremely drunk."

Mr McMaster said Ryan could not recall the indecent assaults but he was "very remorseful" for his actions.

He said his client had suffered abuse as a child.

"He was forced to drink by his dad ... at six,'' he said.

Mr Wallace-Pannell said Ryan had an "extensive criminal history".

"This man's prospects of rehabilitation have to be considered incredibly low,'' he said.

Magistrate Michael Carey said he had "serious reservations" about Ryan's rehabilitation prospects. He sentenced Ryan to 12 months in prison that will be served once he does time for the remaining 10 months of an earlier sentence.

You can bet he wasn't white. either an Abo or a 1/2 breed would do that sort of thing in a place like a supermarket. Who else gets forced to be drunk by their own parents at a young age?

A GROUP of juvenile criminals COONS are believed to be responsible for stealing five golf carts from the Katherine Country Club, before joy-riding around town and dumping the carts. 
 
Katherine Country Club assistant manager Kathy Porter said the joy-riders managed to evade the club's security camera network, which only covers the clubhouse and not the shed where the buggies are stored.

The thieves also managed to evade the attention of the club's other security measure: a large guard dog who keeps watch over the beer garden overnight.

"He's pretty unfriendly if you don't know him," Ms Porter said. The golf buggies are owned by club members, rather than the club.
